The Guide Life of a Retired Special Agent 129

A moan slipped from my lips before I could hold it back. The moment Kang Biso thrust in deep—like he’d been waiting for this exact moment—he started hammering into the spot that made me lose all control.

“Ahh—slow down… hng!”

“Haah… Hwang Seol-bin… Seol-bin… ngh.”

The faster Kang Biso moved, the more ragged and desperate my breathing became. He wasn’t any different. With a dazed, almost feverish look in his eyes, he called my name like he was possessed and slammed into me like a beast in heat. He looked completely out of it—and honestly, so was I.

The sharp slapping of skin echoed in the room as a dizzying wave of pleasure overtook me. I couldn’t hold out anymore. I came hard, my body trembling.

“Haa… ha…”

But before I could even catch my breath, Kang Biso grabbed my waist again, firmly locking me in place.

“I’m not done yet… hyung.”

The second he said it, he started moving again, relentless and wild. The bed creaked loudly beneath us from how hard he was pounding into me.

Bijun’s downstairs… There’s no way he can hear us, right…?

I finally remembered Kang Bijun—though only vaguely, because I didn’t have the capacity to care. Just keeping up with Kang Biso, just enduring the overwhelming pleasure crashing through me, was more than enough to occupy every last thought in my head.

We fucked like animals, panting and rutting, over and over again. He’d come, and then go again. And again. And again. My vision started going white at the edges.

“S-Stop…”

At this rate, I was seriously going to die from this. The moment Kang Biso pulled out for just a second, I took the chance and scrambled to crawl away, dragging myself across the sheets like I was escaping a battlefield.

I couldn’t take it anymore. I was done. Just how much more stamina did he have? I’d totally underestimated him.

But I didn’t get far. Kang Biso caught up almost instantly and seized my waist again.

Gripping my hips tightly in both hands, he curled his lips into a smirk. It wasn’t his usual cheeky grin—it was the hungry, ruthless smile of a predator.

“…Hwang Seol-bin. We’re just getting started.”

“W-Wait—ahh!”

I didn’t remember anything after that. Everything blurred together in a haze of heat and moaning. All I knew was that the night felt endless.

He was still inside me when I passed out, still inside me when I woke up. Kang Biso didn’t stop. Only then did I realize—until now, he’d actually been holding back. I blacked out and came to over and over again, until finally, I couldn’t hold out anymore. I honestly thought I was going to die.

This is it… I’m really gonna die from sex.

When I finally opened my eyes again, I couldn’t feel him inside me anymore.

I checked my body and found I had no sensation from the waist down. When I lifted the blanket a bit, I saw that I’d been cleaned up at some point. My skin was fresh, my body wiped down. Kang Biso lay beside me, breathing softly, his arm cradling my head, offering it as a pillow.

And that’s when I felt it—a scorching stare drilling into me.

In a room that should’ve only had the two of us, I turned my head at the unexpected presence… and saw Kang Bijun. He stood there with his arms crossed, glaring daggers at us. Who knew how long he’d been standing there.

“…You two have got to be kidding me.”

“Wha—Kang Bijun, how did you—?”

“The moaning finally stopped, so I came up. Eight hours later, mind you. I was trying to be polite.”

“Bijun… get out.”

Kang Biso rubbed at his eyes like he was annoyed at the noise, then pulled the blanket up to my neck to make sure none of my skin was exposed. I just stared at him in a daze.

Kang Bijun looked between us, completely dumbfounded.

“You think I wanted to come up here? It’s been three damn days! Three! Keep this up and he’s gonna die from overexertion! You might be fine since you’re an Esper, but he’s not! He’s a Guide! You think I came here for you? I came up here because I was worried about Hwang Seol-bin!”

“…Hyung, are you okay?”

“…Yeah. Just a little hungry, that’s all.”

Kang Biso’s eyes widened at that. Clearly, he hadn’t realized how much time had passed either.

Honestly, neither had I. Three days? We’d really been in bed, having sex, for three days straight?

Kang Bijun looked like he’d been through a warzone with the dark circles under his eyes. He stared at us like he could barely believe what he was seeing.

“It’s about time we started talking about the Book of Wishes. How long are you planning to just keep screwing around? Go clean up and get your asses downstairs. I’m done waiting.”

“…Alright, alright. Just wait outside.”

“…Sorry. I’ll be down in a minute.”

Grumbling, Kang Bijun left the room with a sigh, telling us not to take forever. Once the door shut, it was just the two of us again.

We looked at each other. The heat in his eyes was unmistakable. Slowly, Kang Biso leaned in toward me. I found myself staring into his eyes, drawn in like I was under a spell—until I suddenly came to and shoved his face away with both hands.

“…What?”

“We should hurry. Kang Bijun’s waiting. I’ll go wash up firs—ah!”

I tried to get up too fast and collapsed immediately. My legs gave out, and a sharp, stabbing pain shot up my spine.

We really had gone at it like animals…

I was usually pretty good at handling pain, but this was too much. It was unbearable. Kang Biso, noticing how pale I’d gone, looked at me, his expression turning serious.

“Hyung, are you okay? Should we take the day off and try again tomorrow?”

“…No, I’m fine. We’ve got a wish to make.”

“Alright. Just… don’t overdo it, okay?”

“Yeah.”

With Kang Biso supporting me, I managed to get dressed and ready without too much trouble. Then I caught sight of myself in the mirror.

“Ah…”

My face was flushed bright red.

I’d thrown on a T-shirt, but from the neck up, not a single inch of skin was unmarked. My neck and collarbones were covered in red, blooming hickeys. No matter who saw me, they’d know exactly what kind of night I’d had.

There’s no way I can go out like this. Sure, Kang Bijun knows, but still—this is way too much. I need to find something that covers more.

I started rummaging through my clothes.

“What’s wrong? I think it looks nice…”

“…It’s embarrassing.”

“Didn’t he already hear everything? What’s the point of hiding it now?”

“Still.”

It was the last sliver of my dignity speaking.

In the end, I changed into a turtleneck, grabbed the Book of Wishes, and headed downstairs with Kang Biso. As he silently followed behind me, I glanced over and asked,

“…You haven’t asked about the Book of Wishes in a while.”

“I figured you’d tell me what it says when you’re ready.”

He didn’t look worried anymore. Unlike before, when he’d been filled with anxiety and doubt, now Kang Biso seemed completely sure—I wasn’t going anywhere.

…Cute. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to tell him.

I waved him over, signaling for him to come close. He shuffled over like a puppy and leaned down. I brought my lips to his ear and whispered quietly.

“…Actually, it says we get a happy ending.”

“A happy ending?”

“Yeah. The kind where we grow old together and live happily ever after, gray hairs and all.”

Kang Biso’s face instantly lit up with pure joy. I smiled at him and took his hand, squeezing it tight.

“Let’s keep doing our best. Together.”

“Yeah. Me too—I’ll stay by your side.”

We shared a warm, bright smile. The kind that made the world fade out around us.

“…I thought I was gonna turn into a fossil waiting for you two.”

That voice—Kang Bijun. We’d been so caught up in our moment, we forgot about him. We rushed downstairs to find him glaring daggers at us, clearly exhausted. Three volumes of the Book of Wishes were stacked on the table in front of him.

I placed the remaining two beside them.

“…So, what should we wish for?”

Kang Bijun didn’t waste a second. The moment the books were all there, he asked. Kang Biso and I exchanged a look.

“Bijun. You make the wish.”

“Huh? Me?”

“Yeah. You’re the one I trust to wish for something real.”

“Wait, you’re seriously letting me do it?”

“Yeah.”

“…Are you sure?”

Kang Biso glanced at me. I nodded without hesitation. I didn’t have any lingering attachment to the Book of Wishes.

Kang Bijun’s face brightened instantly. He looked like a kid being handed his dream toy. Then he started explaining the wish he had in mind, and Kang Biso and I smiled and cheered him on.

“…Okay, but how do we actually make the wish?”

The wish itself was settled. Now we just had to figure out how to make it happen.

“Check the instructions.”

“It just says to gather all five volumes and your wish will be granted. Doesn’t say how it happens…”

After thinking for a bit, Kang Bijun shrugged and decided to wing it. He lined up all five volumes in order, placing them carefully side by side. Kang Biso and I watched silently.

Kang Bijun placed his hand on top of the books and closed his eyes.

…Will it really grant a wish?

His eyes fluttered open slowly after a few moments. But… nothing happened. The books didn’t react at all.

Had it failed?

Just as we were starting to feel disappointed—

“Ah! Hot!”

Kang Bijun yelped and jerked his hand away. We looked up and saw a golden light erupting from the books, glowing brilliantly.

It was like fire—but nothing around it burned. Only the books were being consumed by the light.

We stared, mesmerized. That radiant golden glow seemed to say, Your wish has been granted.

Then a thought flashed through my mind—the final chapter of the last volume.

I turned to look at Kang Biso. He was still staring at the glowing light in awe, completely entranced.

I told him the book said we had a happy ending… but the truth was, we didn’t.

The ending had said I couldn’t let go of my desire to return to my original world. That in the end, I went back.

That was what the Book of Wishes was made for—to send me back to where I came from. It even said that if I didn’t go now, I’d never get another chance.

I couldn’t help but waver. The me in the story had also hesitated… and in the end, chose to return. I almost did too. I wanted to. But then something changed.

The day I finished reading the book, I stepped outside—and found Kang Biso waiting for me, like he couldn’t breathe without me. Just pacing there, desperate.

That’s when I realized…

I need him by my side.

Who says I have to follow the book’s ending?

This is my life. My choice.

And now, and from here on out— I’ll live it on my terms.

“…Kang Biso.”

“Yeah?”

“I love you.”

His eyes widened in surprise at the sudden confession, but then his whole face lit up in a brilliant smile. Like he’d just been handed the entire world.

“I love you too.”

He said it like it was the easiest truth in the world—like it had always been obvious.

Who knows what hardships lie ahead?

But whatever comes our way, I’ll face it with him—just like this.

Goodbye, Book of Wishes.

This was such a sweet story but it has a lot of holes. I need side stories. The biggest hole is what happen to our pupper? Did I miss it. He just disappeared. I do think the biggest surprise is how in the book of wishes that he chose a different ending
