The sound that pulled him from sleep was the relentless ringing of the doorbell. Even after it chimed multiple times, his body and eyelids felt too heavy to move. He ignored it several times, but then his phone started ringing.
“Ugh…”
With both the doorbell and the phone ringing simultaneously, there was no way to endure it any longer. Kim Min-seok barely managed to lift his leaden eyelids and wake up.
When he picked up the still-ringing phone, the name ‘Jun-seo hyung’ appeared on the screen. As expected, the person pressing the doorbell was probably the same.
“Hello…?”
His voice was thick with sleep as he answered, and from the other end of the line came a familiar, affectionate tone.
—It’s me. You must have been sleeping deeply. No matter how many times I pressed the doorbell, there wasn’t a single reaction. Hurry up and open the door. I brought something delicious.
Ha Jun-seo said everything he wanted and then abruptly hung up. Immediately after, the doorbell resumed its persistent ringing.
“Haa…”
Kim Min-seok sighed deeply and got out of bed. There were no traces of Choi Sang-hyuk, who had fallen asleep with him. A glance at the clock showed it was already close to 11 AM. It seemed he had completely passed out and slept soundly.
Since he had fallen asleep immediately after sex last night, he was still completely naked. The moment he got up, his hips and entire body felt stiff. His ass throbbed and burned.
Recalling the intense sex from the previous night, Kim Min-seok’s face grew hot. He rubbed his flushed cheeks with the back of his hand and walked into the dressing room, hurriedly pulling on a pair of pants and a shirt. Even then, the doorbell kept ringing without pause. That man was utterly relentless.
When he finally opened the front door, Ha Jun-seo walked in with a bright smile. In his hands was a tray holding two cups of coffee and a plastic bag emitting a mouthwatering aroma. At the scent, Min-seok’s stomach let out a loud growl.
“You haven’t eaten anything since last night? You’re going to ruin your health like that,” Ha Jun-seo scolded playfully as he strode into the kitchen.
He quickly set the coffee and sandwiches from the bag on the table. Then, pulling out a chair, he grabbed the still-stunned Kim Min-seok and sat him down.
“Eat up.”
It was an enthusiastic recommendation. Kim Min-seok stared at the sandwich in front of him for a moment before finally picking it up and taking a bite.
The soft bread, fresh and crunchy vegetables, and the harmony of ham, cheese, and sauce blended perfectly in his mouth. After swallowing a bite, he sipped on the iced Americano, the subtle bitterness and acidity dancing on his tongue. From that moment on, he devoured the sandwich and coffee without pause, barely even breathing.
“Is it good?”
“…Yeah.”
When Kim Min-seok finally came to his senses, he had already devoured the entire large sandwich.
“I already had breakfast, so you eat this too.”
Ha Jun-seo chuckled softly and offered his own sandwich. But Min-seok, now full, rubbed his stomach and shook his head.
“I’m full.”
“Hmm—yeah, well. Overeating isn’t good anyway.”
Jun-seo pulled the sandwich back in front of himself, but for someone who insisted on offering it, he didn’t seem all that eager to eat it.
Instead, he rested his chin on the table, smiling sweetly as he gazed at Kim Min-seok. Min-seok started feeling self-conscious and uneasy. It wasn’t just because of what had happened between them in the car yesterday—Jun-seo was sharp enough to easily guess what had transpired after Choi Sang-hyuk took him away.
“So, did Choi Sang-hyuk fuck you?”
Kim Min-seok, who had been sipping the last of his iced Americano, choked at the sudden and blatantly explicit question. He coughed violently, and Jun-seo clicked his tongue, pulling out a tissue and handing it to him. Min-seok pressed it to his lips, coughing several more times before finally regaining his composure.
“Judging by your reaction, I guess you really did get fucked. So? How was it? Did you like it?”
Kim Min-seok chose to remain silent.
Jun-seo let out a disappointed sigh. Twirling the straw in his coffee absentmindedly, he spoke in a lamenting tone.
“You lost your memories, so mentally, you’re pretty much a virgin, right? Do you have any idea how much that tormented me? I really wanted to take Ha-yoon’s virgin hole for myself, but, you see, my position is a little complicated. Since I met you after Choi Sang-hyuk, technically, I’m just the side guy, right? It’d be too greedy for me to steal something that should rightfully belong to the main partner, wouldn’t it?”
The way he kept repeating virgin hole, virgin hole made Min-seok’s ears feel like they were rotting.
“Can you… not use those weird words?”
When Min-seok grimaced and complained, Jun-seo burst into amused laughter.
“What else am I supposed to call a virgin hole if not a virgin hole?”
Min-seok barely resisted the urge to clamp his hand over Jun-seo’s mouth. It was baffling how someone with such a delicate, handsome face could casually spew such vulgar words.
“Anyway… After letting Ha-yoon’s hole go last night with just a little taste, I regretted it all night long. I mean, what does it even matter if you belong to the main partner or the side guy when you don’t even remember anything? The one who fucks first wins, right? I should’ve just pinned you down in the car and taken that virgin hole for myself. I kept thinking that all night… But, well, it’s too late now.”
Jun-seo pouted, looking genuinely regretful. But it didn’t last long—he soon smiled again, his expression turning playful.
“Anyway, now that I let Choi Sang-hyuk have your first time, that means I don’t have to hold back anymore, right?”
“No.”
Kim Min-seok shut him down immediately.
Somehow, things had escalated last night, and he had ended up going all the way with Choi Sang-hyuk. And yes, things had happened with Ha Jun-seo as well. But he had no intention of taking it any further. At the very least, what happened with Choi Sang-hyuk could be excused because they were lovers before his memory loss. But sleeping with the person he had cheated on Sang-hyuk with? That was crossing a line he couldn’t afford to cross.
“Why not? You spread your legs for Choi Sang-hyuk, didn’t you?”
Ha Jun-seo looked at him with a wounded expression.
“Choi Sang-hyuk… was originally my boyfriend. And you, Ha Jun-seo, were the one I was cheating with. I already feel guilty enough about getting caught cheating, but if I sleep with you again now, wouldn’t that make me complete trash?”
“You were already trash the moment you cheated. And besides, you were the one who seduced me first. You’re the one who came onto me, the one who wanted to sleep with me first. Even if you lost your memories, isn’t it unfair for you to act like this now?”
“…I was the one who seduced you?”
“Yeah. You approached me first, flirted with me, and I totally fell for it. I ended up completely head over heels, giving you my body, my heart, and even showering you with gifts. And now you’re acting like this—doesn’t that just break my heart?”
Though Jun-seo spoke lightly, his words carried significant weight. He had given his body, his emotions, and even material gifts, only to find out he was nothing more than a side piece. It was impossible not to be hurt by that. In fact, it was almost strange that he hadn’t lashed out—he could have beaten Ha-yoon, slapped him across the face, or publicly humiliated him as revenge, but he hadn’t.
“That’s… I really am sorry.”
Even though Kim Min-seok wasn’t actually Seo Ha-yoon, he still apologized sincerely. Living in Ha-yoon’s body made him feel an unshakable sense of guilt.
“I truly am sorry.”
When he bowed his head in genuine apology, Jun-seo paused for a moment. His expression became ambiguous—caught somewhere between a smile and something unreadable.
“Don’t think that just because you apologized, I’ll step aside and let you go.”
“…But we can’t just keep things like this either. Do you really want to stay as Seo Ha-yoon’s affair partner forever? You’re handsome, successful, and an incredible person. Why would someone like you cling to a guy who just cheats on his boyfriend? There are so many amazing people in the world.”
Kim Min-seok spoke with sincerity. Jun-seo might have been a bit of a pervert, but he was still attractive, capable, and kind in his own way. With his qualities, he could have anyone he wanted without much trouble. There was no reason for him to lower himself to being Seo Ha-yoon’s side piece.
“What, do I look pathetic for still clinging to Ha-yoon even after finding out I was just the other guy?”
“It’s not that—”
“I know. I do look pathetic. But… what can I do? I love him.”
His voice was gentle, but the weight of his confession rendered Kim Min-seok speechless.
“He loves money, loves sex, has a proper boyfriend, and even had the audacity to use someone like me as a side fling… But I fell for him anyway. What else can I do? All I can do is cling to him like this, no matter how pathetic it looks.”
“Ha Jun-seo…”
Jun-seo reached out and tucked Min-seok’s disheveled hair behind his ear. The touch wasn’t laced with lust but with quiet affection.
“I’ve told you before… I’m not really Seo Ha-yoon. If I find a way back to my body, I’ll return to where I belong. And after that… whatever happens between you and the real Seo Ha-yoon, that’s something you should discuss when the real Seo Ha-yoon comes back.”
Kim Min-seok paused for a moment, hesitating before adding,
“If I were to give you some advice as an outsider, Ha Jun-seo… you should stop holding onto someone like Seo Ha-yoon. By your own words, he loves money, loves sex, and cheats on his boyfriend. He’s not a good person. You deserve someone better.”
Jun-seo said nothing. Instead, he silently reached out, his fingertips gently tracing the beauty mark beneath Min-seok’s eye before gliding across his cheek. His touch was soft, lingering. A faint smile played on his lips, but his gaze was deep and unreadable, making it impossible to guess what he was thinking.
