# Chapter 15

It wasn’t the time to argue about Seo Dohyun being unpleasant or T&C’s actions being immoral. He wasn’t the type of person who would respond to that kind of conversation anyway.

“I won’t ask you to trust me. I know we’re not that kind of relationship. Instead… believe in the results you can see.”

Dohyun’s voice seemed to be coaxing, soothing, and seductive all at once. All the results Dohyun had shown were guiding Seowoo’s choice in one direction. It felt as if all other paths were now completely blocked. He clearly sensed that even if he tried to find another way, he would eventually return here.

Seowoo snatched the teacup Dohyun was holding and drank it all in one gulp. An extremely satisfied smile appeared on Dohyun’s lips.

The agreement was reached instantly. Dohyun casually presented a new contract as if he had known from the beginning that Seowoo would agree.

When had he prepared this in advance? As Seowoo looked at him with disapproving eyes, Dohyun brazenly offered a pen.

“A businessman is always prepared for every situation.”

“Why don’t you just honestly admit you knew it would end up like this from the start? I know this much at least.”

Even when openly chided, Dohyun still returned only an ambiguous “Well, I don’t know” with a smiling face.

“Ah, this time, let’s read the contract carefully before signing. As you can see, problems arise later, and it’s tiring for both of us.”

It wasn’t tiring for both of them—Seowoo was the only one utterly fed up—but it was true that Dohyun had also wasted time chasing after Seowoo. Without responding, Seowoo snatched the pen.

The content of the contract was concise, making Dohyun’s request to read it carefully seem ironic. Seowoo’s dissatisfied gaze stopped at the first sentence of the contract.

“Seo Dohyun (hereinafter ‘Party A’) and Han Seowoo (hereinafter ‘Party B’) hereby establish a cohabitation contract adhering to the following terms.”

Looking at the contract period, it was set to begin very soon. It meant that in just three days, he would have to leave his perfectly good home and share a house with this man. Seowoo instinctively frowned.

“We’re already moving in together? With a contract like this?”

“What happens to me if Han Seowoo verbally agrees and then flies away? Just think of it as a preventive measure.”

Dohyun wiggled his fingertips urgently.

“The content is simple. Seo Dohyun will take care of everything, so the star just needs to show up. That’s it.”

This straightforward summary resonated deeply. After reading through each clause, Seowoo found that the contract literally said, “I’ll handle everything, just come live here.”

He thought that even in a relationship between lovers, this would seem fraudulent. Seowoo’s expression soured.

“Do you have too much money?”

“If I had asked you to pay to live with me, you would have refused, right?”

“Obviously I still don’t want to, even now.”

He hated being indebted, but this was different. Wouldn’t it be unfair to lose money while doing something he didn’t want to do? Honestly, even if Dohyun paid him, Seowoo didn’t want to live together, so from his perspective, it felt more like being dragged along than freeloading.

When Seowoo responded bluntly, Dohyun, far from being displeased, smiled with a clear expression as if he had expected this.

“I never thought you’d be happy to come just because I’m paying. Who do you think our star is…? But let’s stop the hesitation after the first verse and sign. I’m going to be busy today anyway.”

“Good grief, I’m not hesitating, I was just thinking. I’ll do it, I’ll sign.”

Having already made the decision, there was no point in resisting now. It would only prolong the inevitable. Even the stubborn Seowoo knew this, so he didn’t argue further and quietly completed his signature.

Looking down at the contract with both their names—Seo Dohyun and Han Seowoo—written on it, he felt strange. He had never thought about living with someone else. He hadn’t planned for it and didn’t want it either.

The very act of sharing a home felt so unfamiliar that even after finishing the signature, it didn’t feel real. Apart from his feelings about Dohyun, it felt odd. Whether knowing his feelings or not, Dohyun naturally collected the contract.

“But why am I busy today? Isn’t it over now that we’ve signed the contract?”

Seowoo suddenly asked while watching Dohyun hand over the documents to Manager Gu. Now that the cohabitation contract was finalized, Dohyun had no more need for Seowoo. There were still two days left until they would actually live together.

It wasn’t that Seowoo had nothing to take care of, but those were things he could finish on his own—like going back to Biro Management to terminate his contract. He also had separate matters to discuss with the president, and having Dohyun tag along would only be troublesome.

Dohyun looked at Seowoo with narrowed eyes, as if the question was unexpected.

“We need to see your agency’s president… no, your former president. Let’s get going now. Since you came early, we might as well wrap things up today.”

Dohyun emphasized the word “former” as he spoke. He apparently had no intention of asking for Seowoo’s opinion. Seowoo sat there dumbfounded until Dohyun got up and began adjusting his clothes. Following him and rising to his feet, Seowoo pursued the matter.

“Why? Is it about terminating the contract?”

“If you already know, why do you keep making me say it twice? Are you trying to get closer to me?”

“Why do you keep saying such nonsense? Are you trying to piss me off?”

Finding it amusing how Seowoo firmly shot back without wanting to lose even a beat, Dohyun glanced back at him.

“In the first place, why are you coming with me to terminate my contract? Are you going to be my spokesperson?”

Dohyun just kept nodding while casually deflecting Seowoo’s rapid-fire questions. Seowoo could only glare at the back of Dohyun’s bobbing black head.

He’s so annoying. Can I hit him once? Just as he had that thought, Dohyun turned around as if reading his mind. When their eyes met, Seowoo unconsciously leaned his upper body backward.

“That’s correct. Grasping the essence is a good habit, as an actor.”

“What’s correct… You’re going to be my spokesperson? You? For me?”

Dohyun stretched out his hand. Seowoo was about to shrink his shoulders but consciously straightened them as if to show off his attitude, meeting Dohyun’s gaze. Dohyun, of course, didn’t avoid it.

His fingers lightly pulled Seowoo’s shirt collar, adjusting the angle. It was a neat movement. With each faint sound as the fingertips brushed against the fabric, Seowoo’s cheeks trembled, unable to hide his tension. Dohyun’s hand slid to his shoulder and lightly patted it as if in encouragement.

“Of course. I need to explain the situation and pay the penalty fee. If I don’t take care of my person, who will?”

Already calling me “my person.” Seowoo wasn’t easily adjusting to Dohyun’s rapidly changing forms of address. Was it necessary to use such creepy terms like “my person” just because they had signed a contract? What kind of relationship did they have?

Regardless of how much Dohyun cherished and loved his subordinates, Seowoo was not in a position to welcome it with open arms. A general defecting to the enemy camp didn’t need to bring his loyalty with him. Seowoo tried not to show his true feelings—”Honestly, I don’t think much of you”—in his eyes as he calmly asked:

“…I’m sure you already know that the president and I have known each other for 10 years.”

“Are you family?”

“No.”

“Then are you lovers?”

Seowoo glared at him with wide eyes. The look meant he wouldn’t let it slide if Dohyun spouted nonsense one more time. As if he had expected this, Dohyun just smirked.

“Even relationships like that can turn ugly in business. Just because you’ve known someone for 10 years doesn’t mean everything can be overlooked. Though our Han Seowoo, who gets attached so easily, might not understand that.”

Dohyun still responded in a light tone, but there was indeed a sense of gravity in his words.

“Since I brought you in, I’ll take responsibility. You’ll allow me that much, won’t you?”

Strangely enough, that weightiness felt unfamiliar. Even though he was a crazy scumbag, he apparently didn’t completely neglect his work.

However, from Seowoo’s perspective, accompanying Dohyun was even more awkward. Wasn’t this like trying to remove a boil only to get stuck with a goblin? He had planned to discreetly inform the president about his strategic retreat, but that would be impossible with Dohyun present. It would be more realistic to find a way to meet separately later.

“Fine. Let’s go together.”

“I’m glad you agreed so readily. I was prepared to spend more time persuading you.”

Dohyun smiled with satisfaction, then turned around and approached the desk. There was a sound of rummaging as if he was looking for something. Seowoo’s gaze naturally followed his movements.

“Do you have some kind of plan?”

“Maybe a little? Since we’re ahead of schedule, call President Hwang directly and tell him we’re coming soon, so please make some time for us.”

“Didn’t I tell you I lost my phone at your bar? You could at least check if it’s in your lost and found…”

What was suddenly thrust before Seowoo’s grumbling eyes was a familiar mobile phone. A familiar shape with a hard case firmly attached.

Momentarily speechless, Seowoo stared blankly at the phone, then looked at Dohyun’s face again as if to confirm. Dohyun was still smiling neatly.

“Please do me this favor.”

No matter how much he examined it, it was definitely his. The one he thought he had lost that day… With a sour expression, Seowoo took the phone and pressed the power button. The battery was at 100%. How was that possible? If it had been lying on the floor all day, it should have been discharged.

“How long have you had it?”

“From the beginning?”
