Episode 125
Mitchell called. He said he was coming to the park where I was, so I told him to go ahead. Although I wasn’t hungry because I had eaten breakfast late, I still needed to have lunch.
Not long after, Mitchell arrived, and we went to a Korean restaurant for the first time in a while. After finishing a hearty meal out, we came home to find the living room empty.
First, the large painting that had been hanging in the living room was gone. It was a landscape painted by Mitchell’s younger brother, which was said to be incredibly expensive.
Half of the high-end electronics and clothes in the dressing room were also missing, and when I opened the bedroom drawer where I had kept a lot of cash, just in case, it was empty too. A few other valuable items that we didn’t really use were also gone.
It certainly wasn’t a burglar. Since the essentials for daily life were still there, I didn’t feel like I had to leave this house right away.
I scratched my head and looked at Mitchell. Seeing his nonchalant face, it seemed he wouldn’t say anything special today either. Even though all the expensive items in this house had disappeared during the morning while I was out for a walk and meeting with Director McKenney.
What a tight-lipped guy.
After wandering around the house for a while, I finished my exploration. Mitchell approached me and patted my head. His eyes, beneath his neat eyelashes, shimmered mysteriously. Despite his mischievous smile, he offered no further explanation. His face, hiding his intentions, was as arrogant and relaxed as ever.
“Want to make a call?”
Mitchell suddenly held out his phone to me. He wasn’t changing the subject in this situation. So, the guy who didn’t care at all about a few missing items seemed to think it was more important for me to talk to someone. I wonder how great this person must be…
“He said he wants to apologize.”
“Ah.”
Realizing who the call was with, I blinked silently with my mouth shut. Without thinking further, I shook my head vigorously.
“I don’t want to talk. I’d be grateful if you could accept the apology on my behalf.”
I didn’t believe Yoon Inbeom was sincerely remorseful, and whether it was a lie or the truth, it wasn’t my concern.
Even having negative thoughts in my head was a burden for me. Why keep trying to crawl into my Mitchell-filled clean zone? I didn’t want to give even a grain of sand’s worth of space. Seeing Mitchell smile at me would be much more comforting than Yoon Inbeom’s apology.
Not wanting to get involved anymore, I shook my head violently. He was already a person I had cast out of my life.
“Alright. He won’t be able to bother you anymore. You don’t need to worry separately.”
I wonder if Mitchell had taken care of it well enough. I answered with a light kiss on his cheek. Mitchell also kissed my cheek as if in greeting.
After showering and coming out, Mitchell, who had left the bathroom before me, handed me my underwear. It was a new experience to have Mitchell return the gesture I usually did for him.
“Thanks.”
I bent down to put on my underwear. Mitchell naturally slipped his hand in, patting and touching my bare buttocks as I pulled up my underwear, his hand disappearing inside my underwear.
Ignoring the position of his hand, I dried my hair with the towel on my shoulder. As I walked to the dressing table, Mitchell’s hand followed, stuck firmly to my buttocks.
“Mitchell.”
“Yeah?”
“How much filming do you have left for ‘Racing Instinct’?”
I asked, looking at Mitchell in the mirror. Mitchell leaned on the dressing table, standing askew as he looked at me. His hand, hidden in my underwear, was still touching my buttocks.
“Only the Brad Building scene is left. I think it’ll be done within a week.”
Brad is the main villain in “Racing Instinct”. The ending involves breaking into the villain’s headquarters in the building and taking him out, and the long filming was finally reaching its end.
“Are you preparing for your next movie?”
I tried to ignore Mitchell’s hand tickling my buttocks and his persistent gaze as I diligently dried my hair with the towel. I listened carefully to Mitchell’s softly resonating voice.
“No.”
“Why?”
Wanting to film “Mirror Match” with Mitchell, I took a deep breath at the good news. As I covered my face with the towel to hide the smile that was trying to emerge inappropriately, Mitchell removed the towel and met my eyes.
“I’m choosing a project. There’s nothing I like yet.”
“Ah! I see!”
Too happy, an awkward agreement popped out. Feeling caught, I moved my hand to the back for no reason. It ended up resting on top of Mitchell’s hand that was already there.
“Why do you ask?”
Finally, here it comes.
As the unofficial casting director for “Mirror Match”, I had a heavy responsibility. I needed to use my words well to recruit Mitchell. Given how picky he is in choosing projects, if he doesn’t like the “Mirror Match” script, he’ll reject it without hesitation.
Even if the movie would be made without Mitchell playing Logan, I really want to do it together with him.
I wish he could understand how desperate I am.
“Mitchell. Um, first… You know that Seimon is going into movie production, right?”
“Vaguely.”
“Then you must know which project they’ve chosen?”
His gaze, which had been fixed on me, dropped. Just as I was wondering if he was avoiding answering or not, he opened his mouth.
“…I don’t know.”
“You don’t know? Ah, then nevermind that. Mitchell, you know. I have a not bad… no, quite good… that thing, I mean I know about it.”
Shit.
I’m really bad at this!
Some unofficial casting director I am…
“A good that thing?”
Ahem.
As I cleared my throat unnecessarily to buy time, Mitchell asked first. Whether I stumbled over my words or not, his touch on my buttocks remained gentle.
“It’s called ‘Mirror Match’. The script is good. I’m thinking of filming it. The director wants to do it with me too. Uh, um…”
It wasn’t easy to persuade Mitchell. In fact, when I was active in Korea, the most difficult thing was refusing cameo appearances requested by acquaintances. I tried to appear as much as possible for the sake of friendships and personal relationships, but there were limits.
Would Mitchell be any different?
Of course, if you ask who’s closest to Mitchell these days, it’s definitely me. There’s no one else who stays by Mitchell’s side to this extent. I’m monopolizing Mitchell.
But I didn’t want to use our relationship to manipulate Mitchell’s career recklessly. After all, I was proposing to Mitchell what I usually avoided the most. The words weren’t coming out smoothly.
But I’m a ca-casting director…
“Ahem, it’s a two-lead starring role. I’m Nathan, the investigator, and the other lead, Logan, is a helper who, despite having some personality issues, is very helpful in the investigation. He suffers from psychopa… I mean antisocial personality disorder. Haha. He’s a bit of a jerk, but he’s humorous and talks well like a con artist. I mean, like an eloquent speaker. He’s a perfectionist with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder, only caring about himself, but he has a handsome and sexy image. Doesn’t that sound similar to you?”
…I’m not insulting Mitchell.
I’m complimenting him.
Of course, Mitchell seemed to slightly misunderstand my noble intentions, as he tightened his grip on my buttocks. Shrinking back and laughing awkwardly, I carefully continued the conversation.
“I have the script. Take a look if you’re bored. I left it on the table. I’d like to hear your opinion.”
I said, pointing to the bedside table.
“The director is desperately looking for someone to play Logan. Seems like they can’t find the right actor. They said they’re going to hold auditions.”
“Oh. I’ll take a look when I have time.”
“…”
In the end, I spoke directly, but Mitchell’s answer lacked enthusiasm. The sales pitch seems to have half-failed.
This guy was more interested in my buttocks than the script. His kneading skills were improving day by day.
“This work will be my Hollywood debut. I’m definitely not dropping out this time. I feel like I’ll go all the way to the end for sure. That’s my feeling… I wonder who will be beside me? I’m curious about who will act alongside me.”
I stopped drying my hair and turned towards Mitchell. While maintaining intense eye contact, I kept subtly mentioning who would take the place beside me. It was an easy question that anyone with a sense of intuition could answer.
I thought that Mitchell, with his strong possessiveness, would surely be interested in the title of my “Hollywood debut.”
Even with “Fail to Start,” where I was about to act alone, didn’t Mitchell end up interfering in the middle? It’s certain that this guy wants to act with me.
So I thought he would give in with just a little persuasion, but unfortunately, what Mitchell wanted “right now” wasn’t the place beside me.
“Hey, hey! Mitchell.”
The guy suddenly grabbed my waist and lifted me onto the dressing table. He wasn’t interested in the seat next to me, but the one in front of me.
“Right. I wonder who will play that bastard?”
The hand that was massaging my buttocks once again delved into my underwear. The rough hand rubbed and kneaded my lower body instead of my buttocks.
“It’s not that bad of a role. Ugh! Mitchell, touch gently.”
I absolutely didn’t tell him to take his hands off.
“Come to think of it, you’ve never played a villain role, right?”
“Never.”
“Mitchell, don’t you think it’s time for an image change? It’s not like he’s an outright bad guy, he works together with the protagonist… Ah, Mitchell… don’t pinch… Anyway, think of him as a protagonist with strong antisocial tendencies. Ah. Ah…”
“I understand. What kind of role it is… Geon-woo, do you want to get waxed too?”
The band of the briefs finally came down.
“What, what are you doing? No, that’s not important right now… I’m telling you the Logan role is vacant?”
“Yeah, I just heard. They’re holding auditions too. But I think it would look pretty here without hair.”
I felt like I had become a casting director discussing waxing plans. Feeling irritated that the priority had been stolen by waxing, harsh words finally burst out of my mouth.
“Who could be a better fit than you, you bastard? Damn it, just do it!”
