I’m Not That Obsessive – Chapter 110

Chapter 110

While Mitchell went to shower, I entered the dressing room to pick out his underwear. These days, I’m living for the fun of choosing Mitchell’s clothes or underwear. I’m not interested in dressing up dolls, but I’m overflowing with interest in dressing up Mitchell.

I liked that this stubborn, my-way-or-the-highway person was obeying my orders. Though they weren’t grand commands, I was enjoying it in small ways.

I was about to leave the room with a gray brief draped over my shoulder when I suddenly remembered my old phone stored in the dressing room cabinet.

As I scratched my cheek, I listened to the sound of water coming from outside the living room. Confirming that he was still showering, I quietly headed to the cabinet.

The phone was still there, just as before. Unlike last time, it was now turned off. After hesitating for a moment, I pressed and held the power button.

There were calls from Inbeom Yoon and an unknown number, but I was more curious about the messages.

‘Did he contact Thompson this time too?’

When I first discovered the phone, there were messages exchanged with Thompson. Mitchell had been contacting Thompson while pretending to be me.

Of course, I don’t care what Mitchell does. I was just a little curious.

[Geon-woo, are you free these days? Let’s have a drink]

[Sorry. I quit drinking. I need to exercise too]

[What’s with you always refusing? It’s disappointing]

[Actually, I might get a girlfriend]

[Hey! Geon-woo. Are you deliberately avoiding me? What does getting a girlfriend have to do with drinking with me?]

[I’m telling you that you don’t have a chance]

[Wow. You bastard. You’re really something else, aren’t you?]

Below the messages I saw last time, new messages had appeared. I was surprised then, but this time the content was even more shocking.

[Geon-woo, did you know too? That you and Director Angelio leaving “Fail to Start” was all Mitchell’s doing?]

[Really? I had no idea. Why would Mitchell do that?]

[I don’t know. Just that it’s related to Seimon]

[Seimon?]

[Apparently, when Seimon acquired Netflex this time, he got involved with many of the works coming in. As you know, Seimon’s company is friends with Mitchell’s parents and older brother, so wouldn’t they change things with just a word from Mitchell?]

[They change actors and directors just because they acquired one platform? Where did you hear such strange things?]

[An acquaintance who’s knowledgeable about these things told me]

[What benefit would Mitchell get from changing that?]

[Hmm…]

[I don’t know about Director Angelio, but I left on my own. I didn’t want to do nude scenes. Talk sense]

[I see]

[Stop talking nonsense and focus on making your movie. I heard the actor who replaced me is handsome]

[Haha. Yeah, he’s really handsome. He’s a rookie but his actions are kind of cute]

[That’s good. Go drink with that actor. Stop hitting on me now]

[Yes, yes. I got it. I’ll do that]

[Good luck]

[But why don’t you answer your phone?]

[Good luck]

[Tch]

I read and reread the messages silently. Even though it was clearly Mitchell who wrote these messages, I couldn’t believe it, so I scrolled up and down and even rubbed my eyes. I even checked to make sure it was my phone.

Here, I discovered a few issues. All of them made me angry.

First, “I heard the actor who replaced me is handsome.”

Handsome?

Handsome?!

If Mitchell complimented a woman, I’d let it slide, but when he compliments a man, my eyes pop open. It’s like the shock of eating wasabi with a chili pepper.

Quietly seething, I opened the search bar to check who the actor who replaced me was.

…Damn. He is handsome.

Biting my lip, I clicked on all of his photos.

“Still, his body is weaker than mine. Looking at his small frame and short height, that must be small too. His chest looks small too. You’re out. Mitchell likes big chests like mine.”

Forcing myself to claim a mental victory, I closed the window.

And the second issue…

“Why is this so long?”

He sends me messages as short as grains of millet, but why is he having such long conversations with Thompson?

Of course, he’s pretending to be me, but originally, I never exchanged messages with Thompson. It was only Mitchell who exchanged messages with Thompson, pretending to be me.

That means Thompson doesn’t know my messaging style or habits either. So, couldn’t Mitchell just send messages casually and roughly like he usually does?

Why? WHY are there such carefully crafted messages going back and forth! While he sends me messages as dry and rough as cement hardening in front of the house!

Just as I was unable to contain my bubbling emotions, the sound of water in the bathroom stopped.

I immediately turned off the power and put the phone back in its place. Then, I snatched up the briefs I had draped over my shoulder and left the dressing room irritably.

It’s fine that Mitchell took my phone and pretended to be me, having conversations I know nothing about with my acquaintances.

No problem. It’s not a problem.

Everything else might be a problem, but…

“Here.”

I held out the underwear to Mitchell, who was standing naked in front of the bathroom door. I tried to manage my expression, but I’m not sure how well I did. Mitchell, who was drying his hair with a towel, stared at me intently.

I didn’t want to meet his gaze, so I lowered my head slightly. I could see his thick member. Maybe I should hit that instead.

“What? Want to eat it again?”

When Mitchell grabbed his member and waved it at me, I had no choice but to look up at him.

“Just put this on.”

I handed him the underwear and made sure he put it on. Even though I was angry, I felt strangely proud of Mitchell’s taut front, even though it wasn’t mine. To think the day would come when I’d feel pleased looking at a man’s thing. I guess I’ve gone as far as I can go.

“You look angry. Am I right?”

Mitchell put his arm around my shoulder as we walked. I kept my mouth shut until we entered the bedroom together, and only when Mitchell brought his face close to mine did I answer.

“Why do you only send short messages to me?”

“Only to you? How did I send messages to others? Did you see?”

“No, I didn’t see. Anyway, why do you only send messages with just the essentials?”

I instantly realized it was a stupid question. What’s wrong with sending messages with just the essentials? How much unnecessary chatter should be added?

As my face was about to turn red and blue, fortunately, Mitchell gladly responded to my foolish question.

“I’ll send longer ones from now on.”

When he reacts like this even when I’m upset, my complaints disappear completely. Amazed at the quick problem resolution, I glanced at Mitchell. He was also looking down at me through his long eyelashes. That handsome face was a bonus.

“Do you know the actor who replaced me in ‘Fail to Start’?”

I took action to solve the second problem. I asked to deal with the gay guy who seemed ready to pounce on any handsome man.

Mitchell frowned instead of answering. It was as if he was asking why I was suddenly talking nonsense.

“Well… I looked up the actor who replaced me because I was curious.”

“And?”

“I was wondering if you knew anything about it.”

“I don’t know.”

“You don’t know?”

“Should I know?”

“I thought you would.”

“Why do you think I would know?”

I couldn’t answer Mitchell’s question right away. I just moved my lips without speaking, and only when he grabbed my nape did I finally speak. I was terrified for a moment, thinking he was going to strangle me. Scary bastard.

“Just, just my intuition.”

“Intuition? I don’t think so. You’re hiding something, aren’t you?”

“What, what am I hiding? When have I ever hidden anything from you? I tell you everything. I’m Bae Geon-woo. Your shadow.”

“Would a mere shadow do something behind its owner’s back?”

“Shiballeom.”

Mere shadow, he says.

“Shiballeom? What’s that? What does it mean?”

By a hair’s breadth, Mitchell didn’t understand my Korean swear word. It was a moment when my spontaneous Korean modification worked perfectly.

“Well, that means… you’re smart.”

Mitchell narrowed his eyes and glared at me. Even though I knew he’d immediately find out it was a lie if he asked Alex, I blurted it out anyway.

It was the so-called “let’s just escape the immediate crisis” method.

“……”

“……”

A strange silence fell. He seemed to be trying to gauge my intentions, not taking his eyes off me. I did the same. I held my ground, not averting my gaze to avoid looking like I was lying. As a result, cold sweat ran down my spine.

“Saying I’m smart is admitting that you did something behind my back, isn’t it?”

Mitchell calmly probed. Strangely, whenever I talked with Mitchell, I always ended up looking like a fool. And it’s not like I lack eloquence.

“Geon-woo, what did you do?”

“What do you mean, what did I do? What are you talking about?”

“You did something, didn’t you?”

“What could I possibly have done…”

“You looked at the phone, didn’t you?”

“…Huh?”

“You looked at the phone in the dressing room cabinet. Your phone.”
