Hiding my furrowed brow from the unpleasant feeling, I turned around. He could have urged me with kinder words, but he probably doesn’t possess such ability. If there were a skill for pissing people off with bullshit, my second brother would definitely be at the max level.
“Let’s go quickly.”
“Yes.”
“Young master… even if the second young master recommends it, please don’t do it.”
After hesitating briefly, the driver spoke quickly in a whispered voice. Recommend what and not do what? Before I could ask, the driver got back in the car to park it properly. With no choice, I avoided the car and walked towards my second brother.
Entering the villa, I saw people who had already arrived sprawled on the sofa drinking alcohol. Two men and one woman. I couldn’t tell if they were alphas, omegas, or betas.
“Our doctor, why are you so late?”
“Yeah, fuck. Hurry up and… What’s behind you?”
The people frowned as they noticed the uninvited guest. Their faces were filled with displeasure, as if their private party had been interrupted.
“The omega brat from our family’s male prostitute.”
My second brother put his arm around my shoulder and answered with a snicker. I could roughly guess what kind of things they might have been saying about my omega father when they gathered together. I lowered my gaze, hiding my hardening expression behind a blank face.
“Kim Jaehyuk’s been waiting for a while. He’s been really annoyed.”
“He wouldn’t give us the drugs until you came. Thanks to you, we’ve just been drinking heavily.”
“Sorry, sorry.”
My second brother pushed me onto the sofa and took out his phone. He called someone and babbled on, then turned up the volume of the music and started downing alcohol.
“It’s more ordinary than I thought. They say even your family’s male prostitute has a decent face?”
“Where would the prostitute’s blood go?”
As I sat quietly on the sofa trying to assess the situation, one of the men approached and put his arm around my shoulder while exchanging small talk with my second brother. Every joke they made grated on my nerves.
“You don’t seem to care much about other people’s time.”
A man opened the door and entered, speaking in an irritated voice. The faces of those sprawled on the sofa brightened instantly, making me wonder who this man was to receive such a welcome.
“Sorry, sorry. My older brother was getting on my nerves as I was leaving.”
“I made time for this during my busy schedule.”
The man, scratching his disheveled hair, had a sturdy build and sharp features. Just by looking at him, I could tell he was an alpha.
There were guys like him in the back alleys. Alpha males who excelled in every aspect also stood out in their wrongdoings, so all the notorious ones in the back alleys were alphas. Unpleasant memories surfaced, making me frown.
“If you keep doing this, the deal won’t go smoothly.”
“…Hey. Just because I baby you, you think you’re something? What if it doesn’t go smoothly? What are you going to do about it, huh? Acting all high and mighty when you’re just the one supplying the drugs.”
My second brother scowled and spat out his characteristically harsh words. The man just stared at my second brother with his mouth shut for a moment, and the atmosphere suddenly turned chilly.
It seems this man is some kind of broker. My tongue turned bitter as my ominous feeling hit the mark. Provoking guys like him is the worst thing to do.
After exhaling a “whew,” the man took out several small bags from his pocket and placed them on the table as if throwing them down.
“This is especially for our lady.”
The man handed over a bag containing pills, unlike the white powder.
“Fucking cheap taste.”
“These junkies are being picky.”
I couldn’t understand what was in the bags being passed around, nor the content of their conversation. As I stared blankly, the man with his arm around my shoulder chuckled and muttered something like an explanation.
“That girl learned to take stuff that even kids use when she was studying abroad. That’s lower quality and cheap, but she’s developed a taste for it and doesn’t like anything else. She’s funny.”
“Shut your mouth.”
The woman clutching the drug bag glared at him, grinding her teeth.
“And this…”
As if the business wasn’t over, the man continued speaking as he reached into his coat. In his hand were several thin syringes.
“You said you needed something strong, so I brought a few. But I don’t really recommend it.”
No sooner had the man finished speaking than my second brother extended his hand. The man looked down at him and produced a smirking expression.
“Think carefully before deciding. This is different from what you young masters have been taking. Once you start, it’s hard to quit.”
“It’s already like that now. Just give it to me.”
“If you insist.”
The syringe passed from the man’s hand to my second brother. It feels like I’m witnessing a truly dangerous scene right before my eyes. Regret washed over me for having followed him here.
“Since you’re a doctor, you’ll know how to inject it. Ah, don’t do it now. When you take that, you won’t even have the sense to screw around. Save it for the last supper.”
After saying that, the man took a few steps and opened the front door. People must have been waiting outside because women and men rushed in through the open door. They were dressed in thin, see-through clothes despite the cold.
“I’ll take that one and that one. We’re going upstairs first.”
The woman who had been sitting got up and chose two women, putting her arms around them on both sides.
“Give me one?”
My second brother asked, holding up one of the syringes he was greedily clutching.
“No thanks. I don’t want to go that far. I already feel shitty enough as it is.”
After the women went upstairs, the remaining men chose people as if they were shopping, each according to their preference. One guy embraced and fondled just one person, another sat with people on both sides, and yet another had two on his sides and a third kneeling between his thighs—three people in total. It was complete chaos.
“There’s someone I haven’t seen before?”
“Don’t mind him. I brought him.”
“The omega young master?”
“Come to think of it, Sukyung is without a partner. How about it, Kim Jaehyuk? Want to take him?”
My second brother, who was sitting with people on both sides and fondling between their legs, asked the man with a chuckle as if joking. The man, who had been looking down at me with a calm gaze, twisted his lips into a smile.
“I’m in charge of sales. Unfortunately, the young master isn’t my type.”
Yes, same here.
I had been trying not to draw attention and could barely breathe, but at the man’s pointed remark, my shoulders hunched even more.
“He does seem a bit cold. What do you say, young master? Shall I entertain you?”
“…No. I’m fine.”
This much attention is already more than enough, and I don’t know where to put myself. Please pretend I’m invisible and ignore me.
When I shook my head vigorously, the man laughed, his throat vibrating.
The two men who had been with my second brother disappeared, each taking the people they had been sitting with to the second floor and the kitchen. I couldn’t understand why one chose the kitchen of all places, but since the situation was already a series of incomprehensible events, I simply gave up trying to understand.
“What does our young master like?”
The man who plopped down next to me asked.
“Pardon?”
“Something strong?”
“No. I just tagged along, so…”
“It’s nothing scary. It’s something that feels good, so why are you so scared? Do you like getting shots? Want to play doctor?”
“…No, I absolutely hate getting shots.”
I’ve seen the end result of drug addicts countless times. They abandon their children, ignore life’s obligations and basic needs, and even forget to eat, always living in a drug-induced haze. They cash out their security deposits for drugs and buy drugs instead of rice with their food money. And when that’s not enough, they end up selling their bodies and organs. Drugs dry up human blood and kill people.
“Have you never done drugs before?”
When I nodded, the man smiled, stroking my flying hair.
We seem to be sitting uncomfortably close. I wish he would move away a bit, but due to an instinctual aversion and sense of danger, I couldn’t easily speak up.
It felt like something invisible emanating from the man’s body, which was pressed close to me, was wrapping around and choking me.
Having spent a lot of time in back alleys, I found my irritable second brother to be at a cute level, but I felt rather intimidated by men like this one.
“Have you ever smoked?”
I have, but it seemed like I shouldn’t answer affirmatively. I realized that was the answer the man was waiting for. And I could fully anticipate that the moment I uttered that answer, the man would do something bad to me.
“I see you have… I don’t usually give stuff away for free, but since the young master is cute, I’ll give you a service.”
The man took out a metal case from his pocket, opened it, and offered something similar to a cigarette. I wasn’t curious about what else might be in this man’s jacket, which had been continuously producing various items.
“…What is it?”
“Marijuana. I could not tell you, but I believe people should know exactly what they’re doing. That’s what I think. That way, even if the results are fucked up, you can’t blame others. Humans like to blame others, don’t they?”
I think you could be rightfully blamed for being this coercive.
“I really am fine. My body is already in poor condition, and I recently had an accident, so I’m still recovering…”
“When there are people I don’t know at a deal, I like to offer them something. I feel reassured when I see them completely intoxicated right in front of me. It would be troublesome if those bastards decided to rat us out. Doing bad things together creates a sense of camaraderie, which prevents such unfortunate incidents.”
Hoping that someone would stop him—no, not even stop him, just ignore me and chase me away as usual—I looked at my second brother, who was leisurely leaning back on the sofa receiving oral sex.
I stared stupidly at the back of a head moving up and down, pressed tightly against my second brother’s crotch. The white powder on the table had left messy traces.
Right, I didn’t expect anything anyway. Fucking bastard.
