Not just because he was his superior, but objectively speaking, Ho Munbeom was truly an outstanding and impressive man. Given how much he possessed and lacked for nothing, he hadn’t even glanced at, let alone shown interest in, any omega who appeared before him. He only attended arranged dates to please Chairman Ho, while he himself seemed to have no thoughts about marriage whatsoever.
During the nearly year-long series of arranged dates, Munbeom’s patience was visibly running out. It wouldn’t have been surprising if he declared he would no longer go on these dates once he reached his limit. That was expected to happen soon.
But then this Munbeom spent the night with a young omega of a style he’d never seen at any of his arranged dates before. When he had arrived 40 minutes late and left with his date less than 10 minutes after sitting down, Secretary Kang had wondered what was happening, but now this meeting was taking place again.
After a moment of mental blankness, Secretary Kang quickly shook his head.
“Just do your job.”
Muttering quietly, Secretary Kang drove to the hotel parking lot.
The place where Munbeom had spent the night was a new establishment about to be opened by a Ho Group affiliate. Though it wasn’t yet open to the general public and only minimal staff had been deployed, he remained vigilant against unforeseen circumstances.
Just as he was anxiously waiting outside the car, the elevator doors connected to the parking lot opened, and Munbeom appeared.
Secretary Kang was about to bow respectfully to his boss, whose striking features stood out wherever he went, when he hesitated. Following behind him was a slender, small-headed beauty.
He was someone whose photos didn’t do him justice. Noting that he looked much better in person, Secretary Kang quietly opened the rear door of the car. Munbeom, who had walked to the side of the car, looked down at Yeonwoo who was following close behind him.
“Go first. They’ll escort you home safely.”
At those words, Yeonwoo looked up and moved his lips.
“…Aren’t you coming with me?”
“I’ll move separately. I need to go straight to the office.”
“…”
“I’d like to have a meal together, but if we’re seen at a restaurant, it would be uncomfortable for you too. I’ll contact you separately through Secretary Kang later.”
“…Yes.”
Yeonwoo pulled his outer garment closed, nodded slightly, and said, “Thank you.” After confirming that Yeonwoo had bent and entered the back seat, Secretary Kang carefully closed the door and looked at Munbeom.
Munbeom’s thick eyebrows rose slightly at the gaze that seemed to have something to say. What is it? His eyes asked, and Secretary Kang spoke quietly.
“The Chairman was upset that he couldn’t reach you.”
“He’s probably curious about where I am and what I’m doing. Ignore it.”
Only Munbeom could ignore the Chairman. Would he even understand that an ordinary worker at a large corporation couldn’t dare do such a thing? As if hiding his frustration, Secretary Kang answered with a small “Yes,” and changed the subject.
“I’ll take you there and return to the company.”
“That’s fine. See Yeonwoo home safely and then go home yourself.”
“Understood.”
Secretary Kang bowed politely and said, “Please enter carefully.”
Munbeom headed toward his personal vehicle that had brought Yeonwoo the previous day. Although he sometimes moved with Secretary Kang, he basically found it more comfortable to drive himself. Hence, there were often occasions when two vehicles moved together like this.
After watching Munbeom’s black sedan glide away smoothly, Secretary Kang got into the driver’s seat.
“I’ll escort you home. If there’s somewhere you’d like to get off along the way, please let me know in advance.”
Yesterday, Yeonwoo had been picked up some distance from the mart. Nodding at the words offered just in case, Yeonwoo indicated the public parking lot behind the station where he had been picked up the day before. Responding that he understood, Secretary Kang started the car.
Upon arriving home, Yeonwoo immediately collapsed onto the cold floor.
“…Hah.”
The March floor, with the heating turned off, was cold, which made the heat that had risen in his body more noticeable. The joints that had been forced to maintain a stiff posture throughout creaked and made their complaints known.
The journey there had seemed to take less than an hour, but the return trip felt at least 30 minutes longer due to road controls and traffic volume. Although Secretary Kang didn’t give him looks or anything, Yeonwoo couldn’t relax due to unrelieved tension.
“My waist hurts.”
Muttering as if to himself, Yeonwoo curled up slightly.
Why were his waist and stomach so sore? It couldn’t just be from sitting in the same position for an hour and a half. It must have been too much for his body to do it again as soon as he woke up this morning.
Thinking about his own body as if it belonged to someone else, Yeonwoo laughed softly. It was ridiculous. Until recently, he hadn’t even held hands with another alpha, let alone had sex.
Honestly, the first time had been frightening. He wondered how others managed something so difficult and uncomfortable. It didn’t seem right to suffer for two days afterward. Looking at his current physical condition, it seemed like he would have to lie down and do nothing again this weekend.
It couldn’t be helped. Sex itself was difficult, and he had to lie under that heavy body the entire time. Plus, something as thick as his forearm had gone in too deep…
“…”
Yeonwoo lay straight and looked up at the ceiling.
Looking at the distinct stain near the light, he placed one hand on his belly.
At first, he had been so disoriented that he spread his legs when Munbeom pulled them apart, and gasped for breath when pressed down. With each thrust, as the face came closer, he had squeezed his eyes shut in surprise and seemed to just wait for the repeated act to end.
But this time was a bit different. His eyes had opened automatically the moment their lips touched. And he saw the hair falling over the always-neat man’s forehead and the beads of sweat on his skin. The moment he saw the subtly furrowed brow, clenched jaw, and strained veins in his neck, strangely… he became excited.
Yeonwoo stretched his hand over his face. At a glance, it looked pretty. But the fingertips were rough, with hangnails around the nails.
He had touched Munbeom’s face with this hand. To be precise, just the nostrils. And with this hand, he had stroked and clung to his neck, arms, shoulders, and back multiple times.
When he tried to move his arm away during the act because it was difficult, Munbeom would stop his laborious thrusting and make Yeonwoo’s arm embrace his neck again. Recalling the large, firm hand that had grabbed his arm and wrist several times, Yeonwoo placed his raised hand on his chest and closed his eyes.
If he slept like this, he would suffer more. He should get up now and move to loosen up his body. Turn on the heating, have something to eat…
Suddenly, he remembered the check Munbeom had given him.
The wealthy really were different. When Munbeom had asked to meet again, Yeonwoo thought he might want the money back, but Munbeom had looked at him as if that thought had never occurred to him. Rather, his face had burned red at the gaze that seemed not to understand why he would say such a thing.
On the other hand, he couldn’t understand how someone could casually give such a large sum. It was something he couldn’t even imagine doing himself. Was this why they said the wealthy lived in a different world? Or was it just this particular person?
Then, what was he?
Even if the other person was Ho Munbeom, how could he have followed a stranger to a hotel room?
The answer was lighter than dust.
If not Munbeom, he would have been sold to another alpha anyway, so he might as well be with someone more handsome and impressive. At least for his first experience.
Now that it’s all over, he wondered what was the use of calling it his first time or whatever, but when he reminisces about today after much time has passed, at least it will be Ho Munbeom, that alpha, who comes to mind.
“…That’s enough.”
Yes, that’s enough.
Yeonwoo exhaled a long breath that rose from deep in his stomach, and as if it had been waiting, a loud sound echoed from his belly. With the hunger that came along with that growling sound like he hadn’t eaten for days, Yeonwoo wriggled and got up.
What was there to eat at home?
Right, there was nothing, so he had planned to do some shopping on Friday.
Not feeling up to making anything new to eat, Yeonwoo briefly considered ordering delivery. But he was too hungry to wait for the delivery to arrive. Thinking he should boil some ramen, he habitually reached for his phone and realized:
“…Big trouble.”
Flustered, he took out the phone from his jacket’s inner pocket and turned it on first. On Friday, after receiving a sudden call from Munbeom, he had turned off his phone as if entranced. What if Lee Jonghoon had tried to contact him in the meantime?
There had been no contact for a while after he told him he had botched the arranged date with Munbeom. He was probably disappointed in him. Yeonwoo hoped that disappointment would continue and there would be no contact today, but human affairs always seemed to come to a head at once.
Seeing the series of calls and messages filled with harsh curses, Yeonwoo bit his lower lip. The calls were from Lee Jonghoon, and the messages were from Lee Seongho—his half-brother and a beta who had not manifested as an omega.
[You beggar bastard. Why did you turn off your phone? Are you in Seoul for fun?]
