Side Story 1.
A man was walking down a well-ordered long corridor. Every time he moved, wearing a long robe commonly worn by people of the Eastern Continent, red liquid dripped from the bundle in his hand. When the seemingly endless path came to an end and a sliding door appeared, the man stopped and lightly waved his hand.
The door, made of merely wood and paper, collapsed miserably, revealing the owner of the mansion inside.
“How dare you, how dare you!”
An old man with an appearance like an immortal raged, grinding his teeth. However, the man standing opposite, Jinhyeon, showed no reaction to this. He simply gently rolled the bundle he was holding onto the floor. As the loosely tied bundle unraveled, a severed head appeared from inside.
“I told you I’d meet you again, didn’t I? Why do you keep running away when I’m already tired?”
Jinhyeon clicked his tongue and raised his sword.
“Why, why are you doing this!”
The old man looked extremely wronged, and indeed he was. His name was Muhan, the leader of a secret organization in the Eastern Continent, a figure who had been moving to gain immortality and power.
If things had gone according to the original story, Muhan would have almost swallowed up the Eastern Continent and then faced off against Leviathan, coveting other continents. But that didn’t happen. It was because Jinhyeon and Yu Jin had joined forces to kill Leviathan’s leader and root out the remaining forces. So Muhan had been trying to lay low, but then Jinhyeon suddenly barged in.
Although Muhan had several powerful individuals under him, he couldn’t defeat the rampaging Jinhyeon. His skills were like those of a heavenly general, and a thousand poisons didn’t work on him, so Muhan could only run away. But Jinhyeon kept finding him, saying he would kill him, which was frustrating.

Yu Jin was staying in a hotel built in the best spot to view ships entering the harbor.
“Master, it’s mealtime.”
Keith, who had followed him here, urged him to eat, but Yu Jin had no appetite at all.
“I don’t want to eat.”
But Keith didn’t back down easily. It had been a week since Yu Jin stayed in the port city, and during that time, he hadn’t properly sat down for a meal. Although he tried to eat somewhat in the beginning after arriving here, as days passed, it seemed food wouldn’t go down, and now he didn’t even pretend to eat.
“I’ll prepare easy-to-eat food, so please eat even a little.”
Only then did Yu Jin nod and turn his gaze back to the window. It was about time for Jinhyeon to return from the Eastern Continent, but he didn’t show up on the expected date. As a result, all sorts of thoughts came to mind, and his hands trembled with anxiety.

Jinhyeon had absolutely refused, but he should have insisted more. Since meeting Jinhyeon, he had never been apart from him for this long. Moreover, Yu Jin knew the reason why he specifically went to the Eastern Continent.

The hidden shadow quickly understood Yu Jin’s intention.

Even the time to go down the stairs seemed too precious. The shadow, following Yu Jin’s order, picked him up and leaped out the window. Stepping on various protruding structures, the shadow instantly landed and put Yu Jin down on the ground.

Keith, who had belatedly returned with food, shouted from above, but Yu Jin didn’t hear. Yu Jin ran quickly towards the harbor. And finally, he met the person he had been waiting for so long.
“Jinhyeon!”
As he called out the name, Jinhyeon, who was standing at the bow of the ship, jumped down.
“Ah!”
“Oh!”
Screams erupted from the gathered sailors, but nothing happened to Jinhyeon. Yu Jin rushed at full speed towards Jinhyeon, who had landed on the shore, and threw himself into his arms.
“Welcome back.”
At the welcoming words, Jinhyeon gently pulled up the corners of his mouth.
“I’m back.”
The anxiety that had built up all this time instantly vanished in the strong arms that embraced him. Yu Jin looked at Jinhyeon and laughed out loud. Keith, who arrived at the harbor belatedly, saw the two and let out a subtle sigh.
Yu Jin left the hotel where he had been temporarily staying and headed to a villa outside the city. This area was known for its beautiful scenery and had many villas owned by nobles and wealthy merchants, and of course, Lucid had one among them.
“What do you want to do first? Eat? Bath? Sleep?”
The first thing Jinhyeon thought of at Yu Jin’s question was sleep, or more precisely, bed. The scent of his lover, whom he had been apart from for so long, unconsciously made his lower body throb, but Jinhyeon didn’t choose that.

Hot and spicy stew and meat that Jinhyeon liked piled up on the table. There were also dishes that Yu Jin liked, but in incomparable quantities.
“It must have been hard, right? What do you want to eat first?”
Yu Jin acted like someone desperate to do something for Jinhyeon. He kept piling food in front of Jinhyeon without taking care of his own meal. As soon as Jinhyeon finished eating, new meat appeared on the plate.
“You should eat too.”
“I am eating.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
Jinhyeon might not believe it, but Yu Jin was eating the most since he came to the port city. He had hardly eaten anything until now, but when Jinhyeon picked up what Yu Jin liked with a fork and brought it to his mouth, he ate it well.
“You’re eating well.”
Jinhyeon’s gaze, looking fondly at Yu Jin’s puffed-out cheeks, was affectionate. Seeing him, Yu Jin swallowed what he was eating and smiled back. After such a warm mealtime ended, the two changed locations. Along the way, Keith looked at the two with an expression of having a lot to say, but he didn’t stop them. Thanks to this, the two settled peacefully in their room.
Yu Jin, who naturally sat beside Jinhyeon, embraced him with both arms. Perhaps because it had been a long time since they met, he didn’t hesitate to do things he wouldn’t normally do easily.
“Was it hard?”
“It was hard. Because I couldn’t see you for too long.”
Although that wasn’t what he meant by asking, Yu Jin had been struggling for the same reason, so he didn’t nitpick.

Although the messenger who arrived before Jinhyeon had delivered brief news, there were still many things Yu Jin was curious about.
“Reading it in writing and hearing it directly are different.”

Jinhyeon began to unfold the story step by step, starting from when he arrived on the Eastern Continent. At his low voice with a constant resonance, Yu Jin sometimes laughed and sometimes frowned. Feeling both grateful and sorry, the words he had been thinking about all along spilled out.

At this, Jinhyeon, who was in the middle of talking, raised his hand and lightly pinched Yu Jin’s nose. It seemed he tried to be gentle, but it still hurt quite a bit, and as Yu Jin wrinkled his nose, Jinhyeon opened his mouth.
“Why are you saying that when I said I would go?”
“Still. I think I should have gone with you.”
Because it wasn’t just his affair.
“I don’t think so. The people of the Eastern Continent have a high sense of aesthetics. They’re crazy about beauty, so what if you had gone? You would have been busy warding off people rushing at you.”
Yu Jin’s face turned red at the sudden praise of his appearance. Jinhyeon was also an extremely handsome man, so hearing such words made him feel embarrassed.
