#128
In a brief moment, all sorts of thoughts crossed his mind.
If the helicopter had exploded in mid-air, the chances of survival were nearly zero. However, Choi Hanseo was not an ordinary human. He was an S-class hunter. So even if he was injured to some extent, there was no way he would die. It had to be that way.
“Both the ship that witnessed the helicopter explosion and the coast guard who received the report have dispatched search teams and are currently searching. The guild has also hurriedly sent out a search team.”
“…When did it explode?”
His voice, coming out of his throat, was extremely cracked.
“It’s been just over an hour now.”
His chest churned and his head spun. Eunseok felt like he had become infinitely small and weak. His heart felt desolate, just like when he had lost his family and was left alone in the world.
“The sea! If he fell into the sea, he’ll be alive! The Guild Master is an S-class hunter after all!”
Kwon Eunchae shouted, grabbing and shaking Eunseok’s arm as he stood dazed. Eunseok slowly returned to reality at her shout and touch. His reason began to function again, creaking into action. Eunseok thought. No, he tried to think. Right. He was no longer the powerless child he used to be. Choi Hanseo would be alive, and he had to find him.
“I need to go to the search site,” Eunseok said in a resolute voice.
“Yes. Eunseok oppa needs to go there quickly,” Kwon Eunchae said, clutching Director Lee and pleading.
“Let’s go together in my car. Since we don’t know why the helicopter exploded in mid-air, it’s dangerous to take another helicopter,” Director Lee said.
Director Lee was right. Eunseok nodded.
“Take care, Eunseok oppa. Make sure to find the Guild Master and bring him back!” Kwon Eunchae said, pushing Eunseok towards the car.
Just as Eunseok was about to get into the back seat of the car, Director Lee’s phone rang. Her expression suddenly brightened as she answered the call. Without even hanging up, she shouted towards Eunseok.
“They found him! They say they’ve found the Guild Master!”
Eunseok, who had been imagining all sorts of worst-case scenarios, almost collapsed on the spot.
The first team returned to the guild building in a limousine van. Choi Hanseo was on his way back to the guild in an ambulance instead of a helicopter, just in case.
His heart was racing madly, as if he had just discovered an enemy’s gun barrel aimed precisely at him. Eunseok tried to stay calm as he quickly showered and changed clothes.
Waiting for several hours sitting on the living room sofa was quite painful. Was his condition critical, or had he escaped with minor injuries? Why did the helicopter explode in mid-air?
“…”
He felt anxious and scared. It was the first time he had felt such anxiety and fear since losing his family.
Suddenly, he felt resentful towards Choi Hanseo.
This was why he hadn’t formed deep relationships with anyone. He had endured alone, stubbornly refusing to create any existence that would cause him pain from loss, even if it meant being lonely…
Choi Hanseo. You must be alive. And you must be safe. Otherwise, I’ll never forgive you.
Eunseok covered his hot eyes with his hands and repeated this to himself dozens of times.
After what seemed like an eternity, his phone rang.
“Hello.”
“This is Secretary Lee Eunju. The Guild Master has just been moved to the treatment room in the guild building.”
It was the news he had been waiting for. Eunseok didn’t even think to listen to the rest, throwing his phone on the sofa as he ran out of the penthouse.
As he got off the elevator, he saw the door to the treatment room. Director Lee was standing in front of it with a stern face.
“Where’s the Guild Master?!” Eunseok asked, walking quickly towards her.
Director Lee held out her hand to stop Eunseok as he tried to push open the treatment room door. His heart sank.
“Is it serious?”
“No. It’s not. But there’s something you should know before you go in, Guide Lee.”
“What is it?”
Eunseok asked, suppressing his pounding heart. Director Lee looked at Eunseok for a moment before speaking with difficulty.
“The Guild Master is miraculously safe. He sustained some injuries, but they’ve healed cleanly after receiving healing from Hunter Kwon Eunchae just now. However…”
The ominous word “however” finally came out.
“But as an aftereffect of hitting his head, his memory isn’t intact. It seems he doesn’t remember you at all…”
Eunseok didn’t listen any further and brushed past her, pushing open the treatment room door. Everyone in the treatment room turned to look at him.
“Eunseok oppa…” Kwon Eunchae’s voice was heard, but Eunseok could only see Choi Hanseo sitting on the bed. His neat suit was gone, replaced by hastily acquired pants and a shirt. His hair, which seemed to have been soaked and then dried messily, was covered in thick, red blood.
Eunseok quietly looked at Choi Hanseo. Choi Hanseo looked back at him.
‘I’m back. Were you worried?’
Words that Choi Hanseo might have said automatically came to mind, but Choi Hanseo didn’t say anything. He was observing Eunseok with a relaxed and leisurely gaze. It was a gaze that looked at an interesting subject, without any trace of personal emotion mixed in.
“Is this the S-class guide Director Lee mentioned?” Choi Hanseo finally spoke. His gaze was on Director Lee standing behind Eunseok.
“…Yes, it is,” Director Lee answered, a beat late. Her voice sounded perplexed.
Choi Hanseo reached out his hand. And he gestured as if to say come closer. Eunseok didn’t move. The man before him was not his Choi Hanseo.
“Come closer. I won’t eat you.”
‘I won’t eat you.’
Words Choi Hanseo had said in the past came to mind. Of course, he hadn’t kept that promise in the past either.
“Aren’t you an S-class guide? I heard you have a contract with the guild. Shouldn’t you be guiding me in this situation?”
Choi Hanseo said, tapping his watch. The watch he glanced at was showing red.
It was clearly a painful level. Eunseok couldn’t ignore Choi Hanseo’s pain and approached him step by step. Choi Hanseo held out his hand, slightly wiggling it as if to say grab it. Eunseok stared at that well-shaped hand for a moment before slowly reaching out.
Tak-
The hand was grabbed. Choi Hanseo’s fierce and wild energy could be felt entirely. The guiding energy was being sucked into Choi Hanseo like crazy.
“Ha-! You really are an S-class guide.”
Choi Hanseo said with a slight grin, showing one side of his teeth. Just as a gleam of ecstasy flashed in his eyes, the grabbed hand was suddenly pulled.
When Eunseok came to his senses, Choi Hanseo was showering him with kisses that seemed like he would devour him. Though it was clearly Choi Hanseo, it wasn’t Choi Hanseo. Even the kiss felt that way.
Eunseok couldn’t stand it and pushed Choi Hanseo away with all his might. And then he immediately swung his hand.
Slap-!
The palm swung with all his strength properly struck Choi Hanseo’s cheek.
Huh.
Choi Hanseo let out a faint snort.
He could have easily blocked it if he wanted to, but he deliberately let himself be hit. That too was unlike Choi Hanseo. He was the type to block rather than let himself be hit when Eunseok swung his fist in anger. When it became clear that he wasn’t pretending to have memory loss, all strength left Eunseok’s body.
“If you’re an S-class guide, it’s worth taking this much temper.”
Choi Hanseo said, lightly rubbing his slapped cheek with the back of his hand. Then he got up from the bed and suddenly grabbed Eunseok’s hand as if snatching it, and started walking towards the exit of the treatment room.
“Guild Master?!”
“Guild Master!”
People behind them called out in surprised voices, but Choi Hanseo paid no attention. Eunseok also tried to resist with force, but there was no way that would work.
Honestly, he thought he would be dragged to the penthouse. But the place Choi Hanseo took Eunseok to was the guiding room.
“Ugh…!”
Eunseok, thrown onto the guiding room bed, immediately sprang up. His teeth chattered at the fact that to this man, he was just a guide to provide guiding.
“I’m sorry for this sudden meeting, but I’m in a bit of a hurry,” Choi Hanseo said, forcefully pushing Eunseok down onto the bed. As always, there was no way to physically resist Choi Hanseo.
“Fuck. Let go of this,” Eunseok cursed involuntarily. Choi Hanseo’s disappearance, discovery, and injury had already put a strain on his mind. Accepting this Choi Hanseo now was simply too much.
Choi Hanseo, pinning Eunseok down, made a puzzled expression.
“Don’t tell me we’ve never had proper guiding before?”
“…I said get off,” Eunseok glared at Choi Hanseo and warned.
“So we have,” Choi Hanseo asserted with narrow eyes.
“Why are you being so reserved when we’ve already seen everything? Ah, do you prefer it more gentle and kind? I’m sorry. Was I too rough?”
Choi Hanseo asked in a pretend gentle voice. But he had no intention of moving his body off Eunseok.
“I’ll be gentle,” Choi Hanseo whispered, pretending to be kind as he pressed his lips against Eunseok’s.
Chomp-!
Eunseok bit Choi Hanseo’s lips mercilessly. Red blood dripped onto his chin. Choi Hanseo’s eyes narrowed. With his levels high enough to be close to berserk, he could no longer exercise patience.
Rip-!
The shirt was torn apart on both sides at once. Instead of kissing, Choi Hanseo bit Eunseok’s nape and started undoing his pants. The damn thing was, even though he was being forcibly touched, the guiding was proceeding very smoothly.
“Ha! So this is an S-class guide.”
Choi Hanseo exclaimed in admiration as he nibbled on Eunseok’s nape. Then he slid his hand into the undone pants.
