#91
It was then that a hot touch grazed his chin. The skin that met those fingers burned as if scalded. It was the temperature of emotion.
All of Eunsol’s senses were so focused on him that even a light touch felt overwhelming.
“…”
As if entranced, he found himself gazing into Hyun-oh’s eyes. Despite their different colors, at this moment they seemed to sparkle with the same feelings as his own.
Their gazes intertwined like vines in midair. A tension that made it difficult to breathe properly weighed down his entire body.
It wasn’t fear. Rather, it was a fresh tension like what a child might feel before unwrapping a beautifully packaged gift, causing Eunsol to close his eyes gently with a different meaning than before.
As if it had been waiting, a soft sensation touched his lips. Just the simple contact filled his heart with a sense of fullness, as if they were deeply exploring each other’s breath.
Although this wasn’t his first kiss with Hyun-oh, his heart pounded rapidly with excitement, just like a first kiss.
“…May I kiss you?”
The moment of lightly savoring each other’s warmth briefly paused. Hyun-oh gently tucked Eunsol’s sideburns behind his round ear and lightly pressed his forehead against Eunsol’s.
Without even opening his eyes, Eunsol slightly nodded. It was at that moment the gap between his tightly closed lips parted slightly.
“Mmph…”
Eunsol’s upper body arched backward as something instantly delved into the gap. His closed eyes tensed at the dizzying sensation.
But soon he comfortably leaned into the hands that firmly supported his nape and waist.
The breaths exchanged with Hyun-oh in this space that had previously been denied to him seemed to confirm their changed relationship.
Even though Hyun-oh had treated him with unprecedented kindness after he woke from his comatose state, Eunsol couldn’t fully accept his sincerity.
This was because the accumulated time kept locking and barring his heart.
But now he seemed to understand a little. How Hyun-oh’s feelings toward him had changed.
He could feel Hyun-oh’s heart in his more desperate breathing than usual and in the touch that caressed his skin preciously.
…He felt loved.
It was like a story he might have read in a fairy tale as a child. One where a mistreated child meets someone who loves them and finds a happy ending.
Eunsol gathered his courage and wrapped his arms around Hyun-oh’s neck. Their lips were already intertwined as if they were one body, but he wanted to be even closer to him.
Hyun-oh lifted Eunsol’s body. Before he knew it, Eunsol was straddling his thighs, legs wrapped around his waist.
The two moved onto the sofa.
“Haa, ha…”
The breath flowing through his small lips grew rough. Hyun-oh soothed him by lightly capturing Eunsol’s lips and then releasing them, repeatedly kissing his swollen lips and the corners of his mouth with small smacking sounds.
“Is it very difficult?”
He didn’t know how much time had passed, but he felt a slight burning sensation inside his mouth.
If he said it was difficult, Hyun-oh would likely take him to the bedroom to rest immediately. Eunsol’s grip crumpled the fabric near Hyun-oh’s shoulder.
Watching Hyun-oh’s expression, Eunsol lightly shook his head. He was breathless enough to make his chest rise lightly, but he wanted to continue the sweet time they had been sharing.
His desire to be constantly reassured by Hyun-oh until all his doubts disappeared without a trace was strong.
Until he could fully enjoy the joy instead of doubting whether Hyun-oh truly felt the same way as him.
“Allow me to kiss you again.”
Hyun-oh felt the same reluctance. For him, this entire situation felt like a dream. He was anxious, finding it hard to believe that he was kissing Eunsol and that Eunsol wasn’t pushing him away.
He lowered his head and touched his sharp nose tip to Eunsol’s round nostrils.
At the tickling contact, both of Eunsol’s cheeks flushed red like peach blossoms.
This time, Eunsol was the one who approached first. He tilted his head and pressed his lips against Hyun-oh’s shapely ones.
He carefully rubbed his flesh against the tongue that came out to meet him. Soon, moist sounds densely filled the previously quiet study.
The kiss continued for a very long time.
Though Hyun-oh’s hands lifted Eunsol’s top and lightly caressed his lower back, they didn’t progress beyond that.
Eunsol also felt the regret. In fact, it was easy for him to notice because he too felt the same lack.
“Shall we go to the bedroom together?”
Hyun-oh tenderly caressed the swollen lips.
Eunsol was resting his temple against Hyun-oh’s chest, trying to steady his heaving breath. His entire body had gone limp like water-soaked cotton. Lacking the energy to get up, Eunsol nodded his head up and down.
Hyun-oh’s pheromones settling on his body like sweet rain felt good. It was the first time he had been able to rest comfortably in his arms like this, so his consciousness became hazy in an instant.
As soon as Eunsol’s eyelids closed, Hyun-oh rose from his seat. The warm temperature enveloping him felt good, but it also worried him as it felt like a slight fever.
Eunsol smiled broadly like a child receiving a gift, feeling his body float up. His eyelashes slowly settled as sleepiness washed over him.
Hyun-oh entered the bedroom and climbed onto the bed, still carrying Eunsol. Then Hyun-oh laid Eunsol down beside him.
Even so, his large hand still lightly wrapped around Eunsol’s waist like a lock, pulling him close.
“…Every time I slept here, I was tormented by not being able to sense your pheromones.”
Eunsol’s eyelashes twitched at the voice settling over his face. Hyun-oh used his thumb to gently rub the slightly furrowed space between his eyebrows.
Eunsol couldn’t open his eyes, as if his eyelids were the heaviest in the world.
While Hyun-oh wanted to see those dark eyes, he felt embarrassed about confessing his past weakness, so he pressed his lips against the closed eyes.
Eunsol’s breathing deepened even further. Hyun-oh instinctively realized that he was about to fall asleep.
He brushed aside the hair, which had grown much longer since he’d last seen him, and stroked along the round head. Enjoying the touch, Eunsol’s pheromones began to seep out.
A faint smile spread across Hyun-oh’s lips at the fragrant lily-of-the-valley scent that stimulated his senses.
“My insomnia got worse too.”
It had been a chronic condition that stuck to him like a part of his body before meeting Eunsol. No matter how good the bed, Hyun-oh could sleep deeply for at most 30 minutes.
Beyond that time, he was always in a light sleep, waking up at the slightest stimulation as if pricked by a needle.
“I know why you took… the only thing of mine you took with you. My cardigan.”
Eunsol, who had been quietly nestled in Hyun-oh’s arms, shifted his body. The cardigan that Hyun-oh had draped over his shoulders was still wrapped around Eunsol’s body.
“…Because I too hugged clothes with traces of you when I slept.”
It was an item he had found after thoroughly searching the dressing room. To be precise, it had been at the very bottom of the laundry box.
The clothes Eunsol usually wore had disappeared along with him.
Every night when Hyun-oh couldn’t sleep, he hugged garments with faint traces of Eunsol’s pheromones and scent, forcibly suppressing his heightened nerves.
Nevertheless, unable to surpass the real Eunsol, Hyun-oh had spent many sleepless nights after his departure.
Even after their difficult reunion, the situation was similar. He had almost lost Eunsol before his eyes. The explosion and hot air that burst out behind him when he turned around carrying Eunsol still disturbed Hyun-oh’s sleep.
“I’m sorry. For driving you to the point where you had no choice but to escape in that way.”
Eunsol had sent signals to Hyun-oh multiple times. He had tried in various ways to tell him that he was pregnant with his child, and to please reconsider the cold words he had spoken in the past.
It was Hyun-oh who had ignored Eunsol’s feelings. Even though he knew Eunsol clearly had something to tell him, he pretended not to know.
“I was happy that it was you, not someone else, who was carrying my child.”
Originally, he should have said these words on the day Eunsol first found out about the pregnancy.
Hyun-oh carefully extended his hand downwards. He gently placed his palm on the still thin stomach.
He couldn’t feel the baby’s movement, but instead, Eunsol’s pheromones intensified.
He had once heard that an omega’s pheromone concentration changes when pregnant.
It really was true. Hyun-oh buried his nose below Eunsol’s ear where the pheromones were flowing thickly and took a deep breath.
Finally, the master of the bedroom had returned. It had been a space he had used alone for quite some time, but when the person who had warmed half of the bed disappeared, it had become an unfamiliar place.
