#57. Memory and Recollections (4)
Full spring had arrived.
Busy days continued. It was difficult but enjoyable, and as smooth as our efforts.
In June, as the schedule for our first mini-album activities was set, we literally became bound spirits of the practice room. We would go there before the morning sun rose for dance practice, vocal practice, eat meals, then record, rehabilitation therapy, practice again, practice, practice.
On really busy days, we literally only slept at the dorm and came out. When I barely got three or four hours of sleep and had to move my body from the next morning, honestly it was overwhelming.
But it was enjoyable. I felt proud each time we accomplished things I thought would be impossible, and when I chatted with the members, the hardships quickly faded away.
“Hyeonjun hyung said he’ll bring lunch boxes for dinner. Should we eat and practice just one more time? I keep getting my feet tangled when moving with the choreography for the music video filming in mind.”
“Let’s do that. When is he coming?”
“Looking at the text, he sent it 10 minutes ago. He’ll probably arrive in about 20 minutes? Seowoo hyung, you should eat too before leaving.”
“I’m……”
“You keep skipping meals saying you’re tired and you’ll collapse. Eat at least a little before Jihan hyung scolds you.”
“Got it.”
“……Then I’ll get some sleep for a bit.”
Leaving only brief words, Joo Lee Seon immediately fell asleep. It happened within 5 seconds of putting his head on the floor.
I looked at Joo Lee Seon with somewhat pitying eyes, then looked up at the large calendar hanging on the wall.
Since the point of this new song’s choreography was changing formations while utilizing cameras, timing the positions correctly and handling eye contact was extremely important. Especially since Na Jihan and Hapil Jae were the ones leading the atmosphere, the two practiced the choreography with a very enthusiastic attitude.
Hapil Jae and Na Jihan were interested in choreography, and Ahn Haesol showed ambition in composing. Joo Lee Seon, who liked playing instruments, was very good at coming up with arrangement ideas that could be used in various situations.
Being such people, it was inevitable that talk of making a self-produced album would come up.
‘At first I thought it would be difficult……’
Looking at what they’re doing these days, I sometimes think it’s not unrealistic talk. They don’t just show passion but have quite good abilities too, so there were countless times when the trainers were surprised.
Lost in various thoughts, I leaned against the mirror wall of the practice room and picked up my phone. I hadn’t been monitoring for a while for my mental health, but with the comeback approaching, I couldn’t help but unconsciously reach for it.

I tried to see only positive reactions, but getting lost in the flood of information, I inevitably had to see negative comments too.
