#78
Looking at the intercom, he saw a familiar face.
“Shin-woo-ssi?”
[Ah, Ha-seong-ssi, fortunately you weren’t sleeping. Sorry, but could you open the door for me?]
“Ah, yes.”
Shin-woo was sweating profusely as he made his request. Ha-seong felt relieved that it was someone he knew who had pressed the doorbell, but also a bit puzzled. After opening the door like that, and shortly after, Ha-seong opened the door to welcome Shin-woo who had come over the garden.
“Uh…”
And what he saw was not so much the suddenly visiting Shin-woo, but Cha Do-hyeok being carried like a piece of luggage beside him.
“Hey, what’s wrong with him?”
Han Shin-woo came in, barely making it past the shoe rack while struggling to support the drooping Cha Do-hyeok. Though he had a large build, it looked quite difficult to carry someone who was so drunk they couldn’t control their body. Ha-seong stared blankly at him being carried in like a piece of luggage, dumbfounded.
“Ah, the Guild Leader drank a lot at the company dinner.”
Shin-woo smiled awkwardly and dutifully answered Ha-seong, who was demanding an explanation.
“Can’t he handle alcohol originally?”
Ha-seong went to the side and supported Do-hyeok’s other side.
“Yes. If we’re being strict about it, he doesn’t drink well. But all our Nameless team leaders drink well… well, somehow it ended up like this.”
That was a bit unexpected. He seemed like he didn’t particularly like alcohol, but who knew he’d be weak to it. He had unconsciously thought he would drink well too, but apparently that wasn’t the case at all. The two of them struggled to carry Cha Do-hyeok to the room.
Though he was a tall man, with Ha-seong and Shin-woo supporting him together, they were able to safely lay him down on the bed.
“Phew, that was tough.”
“Shin-woo-ssi, you’ve had a hard time too. You could have just put him in a taxi and sent him off on his own.”
“Hey, how could I do that? I’m his secretary.”
Ha-seong had thought Han Shin-woo’s first impression would be a bit cold. With his large build and short hair, outsiders who didn’t know him might think he was some kind of thug. Because that’s exactly what Ha-seong had thought.
But watching him carefully, that wasn’t the case. He had a girlish sensibility that liked animals – specifically monsters – and had a gentler and purer personality than anyone. No matter how much of his boss he was, even though he had gotten so drunk he couldn’t control his body, he was still smiling brightly and scratching his head saying it was okay.
It was a moment when he suddenly thought it was fortunate that Han Shin-woo was Cha Do-hyeok’s executive secretary.
“Have a glass of water before you go.”
Ha-seong went to the kitchen and brought cold water. Then Shin-woo thanked him and poured the water into his mouth without rest. Even though he said that, it seemed bringing that Guild Leader here had been quite tiring.
“Ah, Shin-woo-ssi. Um, is my pig doing well?”
“Ah, the pig!”
Shin-woo clapped his hands as if he had just remembered.
“I was actually going to tell you – it’s doing well! It eats well too. It really loves cabbage, doesn’t it?”
“Yes. Because I only gave it that.”
Since it had never eaten anything other than cabbage, how would it know if other things were delicious? Still, it was a relief that it was doing well. When he came here for forced recuperation at Cha Do-hyeok’s house, he had unintentionally ended up sending it to someone else’s house, so he had been thinking about it occasionally.
“It gets a bit sulky sometimes saying it misses Ha-seong-ssi, but it’s doing well. Don’t worry.”
“Yes. Thank you.”
Ha-seong thanked Shin-woo, who had unintentionally become a pet sitter, and asked him to tell the pig he would come pick it up soon.
“Then please take good care of the Guild Leader! I’ll be going now.”
“Yes. Get home safely.”
Ha-seong saw Shin-woo off to the front door. After the door closed and the light in the shoe area also went out, quiet returned to the house once again.
“Hmm.”
Ha-seong headed toward the room where the drunk Cha Do-hyeok was sprawled out. When he slightly opened the door thinking to check if he was sleeping well, his posture was quite a sight. As if he wanted to show off his long legs, one leg was sticking out below the bed and his shirt had also rolled up slightly.
“He’s become a complete mess.”
Ha-seong entered the room and safely put one of Do-hyeok’s legs back on the bed. Honestly, he didn’t know he was weak to alcohol, so he never imagined he’d see such a scene. Come to think of it, there were really many unexpected aspects to Cha Do-hyeok. When told not to use informal speech, he obediently used formal speech and freely used the title “hyung,” and now he was drunk and unconscious like this.
It was a bit different and fascinating. The long eyelashes draped over his closed eyelids were a bit cute. Ha-seong chuckled and was about to cover him with a blanket and leave, when suddenly Do-hyeok kicked the blanket off with his feet.
“What the…”
Not only that, but as if feeling stuffy, he frowned his neat brow and began fiddling with his shirt buttons, trying to undo them.
“…”
Ha-seong looked at the scene with a troubled face, then seemed to make some decision and sat slightly on the edge of the bed. Though he was drunk, sleeping in outdoor clothes like that seemed quite uncomfortable.
Since pants were a somewhat dangerous territory to touch even between men, even if he couldn’t do anything else, he was thinking of at least helping him take off his upper clothing. Normally, he would have thought “why should I care about some guy who’s become a mess” and just gone straight to sleep, but since Do-hyeok had helped with his uncomfortable right arm while staying in this house, he was thinking of repaying that favor.
Do-hyeok kept fiddling with his hands, earnestly touching buttons that wouldn’t come undone. He was somehow trying his best to undo them, but it didn’t seem easy. Indeed, alcohol was something that turned people into pathetic humans who couldn’t even undo buttons.
Ha-seong sighed deeply and slapped his hands away.
“I’ll specially help you.”
He didn’t have a hobby of undressing others, but this was an unavoidable situation. Ha-seong first got up and headed to the dressing room on the side. He brought one of the short-sleeved shirts Cha Do-hyeok mainly wore when resting at home, placed it beside him, and sat on the bed again.
Ha-seong’s hand slowly touched Do-hyeok’s collar. He undid the buttons of his black shirt one by one from the top. But come to think of it, he had shown his bare skin to this guy several times, right? Huh? He had even undone buttons freely at the hospital last time, hadn’t he? This was quite unfair.
Ha-seong undid the last button with such thoughts. Now trying to at least take off the shirt, he grabbed Do-hyeok’s shoulders when his eyelids slowly rose.
“…Are you awake?”
He was trying to help, but like someone who had been caught doing something strange, Ha-seong’s actions suddenly became flustered.
“Hey, you looked too uncomfortable so I was just trying to change your clothes. Don’t get any weird ideas.”
But Cha Do-hyeok just blinked his eyes slowly without responding. Ah, come to think of it, this guy is drunk. Ha-seong was making unnecessary excuses to someone who wasn’t even in his right mind. But suddenly Cha Do-hyeok slowly raised his left hand and placed it on Ha-seong’s cheek.
“…It’s hyung.”
“Yeah. It’s me, so what. At least you recognize people.”
“Hyung.”
Do-hyeok didn’t remove his hand and continued to touch Ha-seong’s cheek.
“Hey hey, move aside a bit. Let me finish taking off your clothes.”
Why does he keep touching my face? Ha-seong tried to push the hand away, but even drunk, he still had strength left, so pushing the hand away wasn’t exactly easy.
The hand that had been stroking Ha-seong’s cheek was now touching his lips. Whether it was because he was drunk, Do-hyeok’s eyes were languidly unfocused.
“This is a dream, right?”
“Where are you getting the idea to think whatever you want? It’s not a dream, okay? When you wake up tomorrow, I’m going to tell you everything exactly as it happened…”
The words of warning couldn’t come out of his lips. The reason was nothing special. It was just because Do-hyeok’s thumb was rubbing and stroking Ha-seong’s lips.
“It really is a dream. You’re not even avoiding it.”
“No, that’s not…”
He had no idea why he kept saying it was a dream, and moreover, why he was touching his innocent lips. He was just about to leave, clothes and everything. Do-hyeok slowly sat up and then grabbed Ha-seong’s hand and pulled him over.
“Uh, hey, wait…”
In his defenseless state, Ha-seong, who had been pulled by Do-hyeok’s touch, found himself under Do-hyeok when he opened his eyes. Cha Do-hyeok had sat up and pressed down on Ha-seong’s wrists, laying him on the bed.
“…”
Was it his imagination that his gaze seemed deeper than before? Do-hyeok’s black pupils were persistently scanning Ha-seong’s face.
“Hey, sorry but I don’t have a hobby of being pinned down by anyone.”
Even when fighting monsters. If he was going to crush something, he crushed it, but he had never been crushed! Ha-seong put a bit of strength into trying to free his wrists from Do-hyeok’s grip. But no matter how hard he was pressing down, it didn’t budge.
“What are you doing? There’s a limit to what I’ll let slide because you’re drunk.”
Could this be some kind of revenge for all the things that had built up against Ha-seong? Telling him not to use informal speech, making him do a bunch of things he didn’t want to do, huh? Could he be trying to get revenge now? Such flights of imagination were spreading in Ha-seong’s mind.
If that were really the case, sorry but he had no intention of just taking it. Even if this house got a bit chaotic, he would have no choice but to fight back.
Thinking that way and about to give a final warning, Cha Do-hyeok slowly started bringing his body closer. He wasn’t going to strangle his neck or something, was he? Hey, even so, that’s a bit much. What had he done so wrong? It was when Ha-seong was about to reason with him nicely.
“Hey, stop it and…”
Something soft touched his lips. Ha-seong opened his eyes wide and stared blankly at Cha Do-hyeok’s face right in front of him.
And a few seconds later, Do-hyeok slowly pulled his face back.
“…What did you just do…?”
Ha-seong blinked and tried to follow what had just happened to him, but his head absolutely refused to function properly. He could only ask what the other person was doing, but Do-hyeok was in no state to answer Ha-seong’s question.
“You didn’t hit me. It really is a dream.”
Do-hyeok, who had been muttering strange things, placed his lips on Ha-seong’s lips once more.
