Kwon-ju, who had been lying in his room, answered the phone and hung up with a tired face after talking for quite some time. His throat hurt from having to speak unnecessarily because of that stupid idiot.
It seemed that the senior who had grabbed Ji-won’s collar—Beom Ji-ho—had reported him. From what he heard, the guy seemed to come from a well-off family. One minute he was stubbornly refusing to settle no matter how much money was offered, and the next, after a little pressure and throwing him some settlement money, the situation was resolved so peacefully it was practically spotless.
It was really nothing serious, but his father found out and scolded him. Said he tarnished the Jang family name. His father’s misaligned nagging—that if he was going to hit someone, he should have beaten him to a pulp, and that getting hit even once was wrong—left his ears ringing on the way home. For Kwon-ju, who had never looked up probabilities while playing the game, it was an unfamiliar concept. He just kept trying until he got what he wanted or succeeded, so he’d never really thought about it. Maybe I should try for +15 on my hat today.
