The Main Character is Obsessed With a Foreign Substance, Volume 2
Seunghyun was in his best mood in recent times. It was the first sense of fulfillment he’d felt since his family went bankrupt and they scattered to live separately. Seunghyun’s steps were light as he left the house.
He recalled Suhwan’s face, blushing at a brief kiss. Despite doing far more intense things at night, he would still blush at childish pecks every time.
Come to think of it, the first kiss Suhwan gave him was also a peck. Back then, he’d found it ridiculous and was even angry, but now he felt somewhat regretful. It seemed like he was the only one who was impatient and anxious almost every day.
Still, Suhwan was so pretty and lovely when nestled in his arms that Seunghyun felt nothing else really mattered. So he deliberately ignored the small anxiety stirring in his heart.
“Oh? Seunghyun!”
“Hi.”
“Seunghyun, hi~”
As he entered the lecture hall, familiar faces greeted him. They had been wondering why Seunghyun, who always used to arrive early to prepare for class, was now coming at the last minute, though they couldn’t express it openly.
“Hey, Seunghyun.”
Finally, after exchanging glances among themselves, Chanwoo, who was considered the most sociable—or rather, the most loose-lipped—among them, spoke up.
“What?”
“Well… is something going on with you these days?”
“Me?”
“Ah, yeah. Just, you suddenly leave while drinking, and you’ve been late to lectures lately. I was wondering if something was up.”
“Ah.”
Seunghyun, who was taking out a thick textbook from his bag, let out a light exclamation. Then he smiled as if it was nothing and answered.
“I’m fine. Nothing’s wrong.”
“R-really?”
The classmates who were observing the conversation exchanged glances again. They also wanted to ask about Jin Suhwan, but their major professor entered the lecture hall, so they couldn’t. They had no choice but to wait for another opportunity to interrogate Seunghyun later.
However, when the lecture ended and they were about to go eat, Seunghyun slipped back and told his classmates:
“I’ll just make a quick phone call and join you.”
“Huh? Oh, sure.”
They responded reflexively and walked to the school cafeteria. Chanwoo, with a serious expression, spoke first.
“I told you, he’s got a lover.”
“What, a lover?”
Gahyun asked in surprise. She looked as if the world had collapsed.
“No way. Our innocent Seunghyun…”
“An alpha lover? Or a beta?”
“I can’t even guess if it’s a man or a woman.”
“…”
While everyone was saying something, Heeyoung kept her mouth shut. She glanced slightly at where Seunghyun had disappeared and then turned her head away.
“Should we ask?”
“Ask what?”
“If he got a lover? Who it is?”
“Are you crazy?”
For some reason, Seunghyun’s vibe had subtly changed recently. Before, he gave off the impression of a perfect all-rounder who quietly kept people at a distance, but these days it felt like he was openly putting up a wall. Because of this, his classmates found it even more difficult to approach him than before.
“Oh? Seunghyun, here!”
The classmates who had already found seats in the cafeteria waved to Seunghyun, who entered late. His expression looked a bit dark. Did his conversation with his presumed lover not go well?
Seunghyun was absentminded even while eating. He couldn’t reach Suhwan by phone. Even if Suhwan had slept more after he left, it should be time for him to be awake by now. Did he have something urgent to attend to? But what kind of urgent business could someone who stays at home all day have?
Though he wanted to rush home immediately to check, Seunghyun suppressed the urge. He still had that much reason left. It was just a missed phone call, after all. Seunghyun decided to try contacting him again after classes ended.
And when he checked his phone after all the tedious lectures had ended:
“…?”
There was a message from Suhwan. Seunghyun’s eyes widened slightly before quickly darkening.
“By the way, I heard there’s a club meeting this weekend.”
“Oh, are you all going?”
“I don’t know. I don’t like club meetings because the seniors make us drink too much.”
“Seunghyun, what about you?”
At his classmates’ question, Seunghyun picked up his bag and stood up.
“I can’t go. And I’ll head back first.”
“Huh? But it’s Friday night!”
“Sorry, something urgent came up.”
“Uh…”
Seunghyun, speaking in a cold tone, turned away heartlessly. His classmates couldn’t stop him and just stared blankly.
Seunghyun bit his lip as he rushed home. Urgently pressing the door code, he entered to find an empty entrance hall greeting him.
Going to the living room, he saw the pizza Suhwan had mentioned in his message placed on the dining table. When he pressed the box with his palm, it was still warm. It hadn’t been long since Suhwan left the house.
“Damn it.”
Continuously biting his lip, Seunghyun paced the living room anxiously. He had been calling continuously since checking the message at school, but Suhwan wasn’t answering this time either.
At least this time he hadn’t disappeared without a word. He had left a message saying he had an appointment and would be back soon. Yet Seunghyun couldn’t calm his anxious heart.
Seunghyun finally turned on the location tracking app again.

“S-Seunghyun.”
Suhwan, barely separating his stuck lips, called his name. The eyes that had been glaring at Hamin turned toward Suhwan.
“How did you…”
“Senior.”
Though his gaze was fierce enough to kill someone, his tone remained gentle and soft. Seunghyun continued in a somewhat forceful tone.
“Get up right now.”
“But… ngh.”
As Suhwan hesitated, glancing at Hamin sitting across from him, pain shot through his shoulder where Seunghyun gripped. A low voice fell on his head.
“Now.”
Unable to withstand the piercing pressure all over his body, Suhwan staggered to his feet. Hamin looked at the two of them with a bewildered face and opened his mouth.
“Suhwan-ssi?”
“Ah, well…”
But before Suhwan could answer, Seunghyun, who had snatched his wrist, spoke in a chilly voice.
“Don’t ever meet my fiancé again.”
“…!”
Hamin was not one to be intimidated easily. He had grown up as the youngest in a royal family, receiving only love, and even as an omega, he had never been disrespected anywhere. He had even successfully run businesses among formidable alphas. Yet even he couldn’t utter a word in front of the dominant omega before him.
So this is what dominant means. Hamin blinked as he looked at the sculpturally beautiful face glaring at him. Cold sweat trickled down his tense face.
“Let’s go.”
“Ah!”
Spitting out the words as if grinding them, Seunghyun roughly pulled Suhwan. Suhwan was dragged along without being able to resist. The pheromones flowing from his entire body were fiercely emitting an angry aura.
What should I do? He seems really angry. Suhwan, observing cautiously, was led by Seunghyun’s hand out of the hotel.
“…Seunghyun.”
At his soft call, Seunghyun, who had been walking ahead, stopped abruptly. Then he slowly turned to look at Suhwan.
“What?”
I need to tell him. That it’s all a misunderstanding. That my grandfather forced me into a blind date and I met him just once. That I absolutely had no other intentions. However, his demeanor was so cold that Suhwan’s lips wouldn’t move.
“Well, I mean… just now that was…”
Seunghyun’s lips curved crookedly as he looked at Suhwan, who couldn’t finish his sentence.
“Just now? You were cheating on me?”
“It’s not cheating…”
“No? Didn’t I just get rejected by you?”
Seunghyun raised his other hand and firmly gripped Suhwan’s shoulder. Suhwan frowned at the pain that felt like his shoulder might crumble.
“Ugh.”
“Do you think I’ll let you go because of that?”
“S-Seunghyun…”
Eyes glimmering with obsession and possessiveness stared persistently at Suhwan. The fiercely pressuring pheromones made it hard to breathe. Just as Suhwan, with a pale face, was trying to somehow continue the conversation:
“Look at those people…”
“…!”
People around them were whispering as they watched Seunghyun and Suhwan in front of the hotel. This was Hwamyeong’s affiliate hotel, a very famous place in the country. People who seemed to recognize Jin Suhwan were glancing and saying something. Feeling their gazes, Suhwan finally opened his mouth again.
“Let’s… go home and talk.”
Seunghyun, apparently also realizing that people were watching, released Suhwan’s shoulder. However, he absolutely wouldn’t let go of his wrist. Suhwan followed him, perplexed.
No one spoke on the way back. A strange silence settled between the two. Yet the precarious quietness felt like it was choking them.
Beep.
“Ugh…!”
As soon as the door opened, Seunghyun roughly pushed Suhwan inside. Suhwan, whose shoulder hit the shoe cabinet, let out a small groan of pain. Seunghyun’s hand on his shoulder roughly turned Suhwan’s body around.
“You want to marry that omega instead of me?”
“That’s not it.”
“If you met at a hotel, you must have wanted to roll around with him. Sorry I interfered. Must have been disappointing.”
At these sharp words, Suhwan desperately shook his head. But no matter how many times he denied it, Seunghyun wouldn’t believe him.
“You should have told me. If you wanted, I could have let you top me too.”
“No… ugh, that’s not it.”
“Or what? Did you want that omega to penetrate you?”
Seunghyun was already out of his mind with anger. With his vision turning red, he pinned down Suhwan, who couldn’t even resist properly, and stripped off his clothes.
“Seunghyun, listen to me, ugh.”
The expensive suit was removed and tumbled to the floor. Seunghyun, trampling on the clothes that had fallen on the entrance floor, savagely bit Suhwan’s snow-white neck.
