The Dokkaebi Waiting for the Moon Side Story 1

An Untold Story. Winter Evening Primrose

“A, B, C, D, E, F, G…”

The alphabet capital letters were written in order on a lined paper.

The letters Eun-hwi had written resembled winding drawings rather than proper characters. If one had to compare, they might be said to resemble hieroglyphics.

However, the deep amber eyes focused on the mechanical pencil tip showed no wavering. Only his lips moved slightly as he read the pronunciation guide.

“…Ah!”

Just as he was drawing the round circle of the letter Q, the pencil lead broke with a snap. Still unaccustomed to writing with tools other than ink-soaked brushes, he had failed to properly control his strength.

Click, click.

As Moon-beom had taught him, he calmly pressed the pencil cap to expose a shorter length of lead. Then he used the magical eraser that makes writing disappear to erase the stray line.

“Phew…”

Again, his hand holding the pencil moved busily. Characters composed of curves and straight lines were drawn in sequence.

“P, W, X, Y, Z…!”

With the final letter, all twenty-six alphabet letters were completed. Eun-hwi quickly opened a book titled “My Child’s First Phonics” and carefully examined everything to check for any mistakes.

Soon, a bright smile like a full moon appeared on his gentle, white face.

“Yeo Moon-beom! I memorized all the alphabet! Look at this!”

His voice was filled with excitement. Moon-beom, who had been quietly working, poked his head out from behind the monitor.

“You’ve memorized it all already?”

“Yes!”

“Let me see.”

Unable to believe it, he stood up from his seat and stretched his long legs to take a step.

With his movement came a momentary waft of mint scent that felt particularly adult-like today, probably due to his changed appearance.

Unlike his usual modest appearance at Wolhwa, Moon-beom had neatly combed his hair and was wearing an elegant outfit without a single wrinkle.

The blue Western suit, tailored without a millimeter of error, wrapped around his muscular body impressively. Though Eun-hwi didn’t know much about it, it seemed like clothing specially made exclusively for him.

Having succeeded his deceased biological father to become the head of the massive Gang-il Group, his attire befitted his position.

The half-dokkaebi stared blankly at his true love, forgetting the joy of his correct answers.

He looks so handsome. So attractive.

His heart pounded regardless of where he looked. His round cheeks turned plum-red.

“Hmm…”

He calmly approached the sofa and picked up the practice notebook. His finger moved slowly along the lines, carefully checking each letter.

A watch with blue jewels reminiscent of dokkaebi fire embedded on its side peeked out from his sleeve. It was the watch Eun-hwi had carefully selected to give him previously.

“Well done. You got everything right without a single mistake.”

“Wow, I’m so excited!”

At the burst of cheer, Moon-beom’s eyes curved pleasantly. Under the gently curved eyelids, dark eyes with a grayish-blue tint were filled with Eun-hwi’s face. His bright, clear smile reflected like it was seeping into their smooth surface.

“Eun-hwi, you’re really smart. Intelligent.”

“…I’m smart?”

His small head tilted in confusion. He was used to being called an idiot, stupid, retard, fool, mongrel.

Moreover, the only squiggly foreign words he knew were “Riumrium,” “television,” “candy,” and “sex,” which he had learned by chance, making him far from deserving praise for being intelligent.

Moon-beom gently stroked his fine hair as if telling him he could be confident, and replied:

“Of course you’re smart. I didn’t expect you to perfectly memorize the pronunciation in just an hour. You’ll become a native speaker at this rate.”

“Na-ti-beu seu-pi-kkeo?”

“I mean you’ll soon speak the squiggly language as fluently as the long-noses.”

“Ah…”

Only then did the half-dokkaebi understand the meaning and opened his mouth into a circle. Moon-beom’s gaze lingered on his neat teeth and pink tongue.

“What? You don’t like the idea of becoming like a long-nose?”

“No. I want to become a native speaker quickly so I can speak to Father in the squiggly language!”

There were still fifteen days left until the full moon night.

Though he could have stayed at Wolhwa waiting for that day as before, Eun-hwi chose to spend the remaining time in Hanyang.

Having become human, he wanted to show Gabi not just his physical transformation but also new aspects of himself.

The foreign language had been something he’d wanted to learn for a long time, and it was the only language that Gabi, who seemed capable of everything, hadn’t mastered.

He felt certain that showing the results of his efforts to adapt to the human world, though still clumsy, would make Gabi happy. He also wanted to boast about having something only he could do.

Being someone who loved to move around chattering, nothing was more distasteful to him than sitting with his bottom glued to a desk to study. Nevertheless, after receiving praise just as when he learned numbers, he felt a welling desire to learn even more diligently.

Proving his usefulness was very important to Eun-hwi.

He wanted to quickly become a native speaker and proudly fulfill his role like the other Mr. Kims.

“Kim Gabi will be shocked to see Eun-hwi speaking English.”

He softly laughed and stroked Eun-hwi’s head, now without horns. The pleasant baritone laughter spread like waves, stirring Eun-hwi’s heart.

The half-dokkaebi, who had been obediently accepting the caresses with his long eyelashes lowered, tugged slightly at Moon-beom’s clothes and whispered:

“And I want to get a reward from Yeo Moon-beom too.”

He wanted to spend a special moment with him, like when he received a reward in the secret place filled with fireflies.

Eun-hwi fidgeted with his hand neatly placed on his thigh, more precisely, on his groin. He gently moved his thumb as if peeling something, while also making motions like sucking on candy.

Watching these subtle hand movements and their private signal, Moon-beom pulled one corner of his lips while sitting on the sofa armrest. A refreshingly bitter scent rushed dizzyingly into Eun-hwi’s nostrils.

“Then, as an incentive to do even better.”

“Hmm?”

“How about I give you a little taste of your reward?”

Holding his chin to make him look up, Moon-beom lowered his waist. His lips touched the cheek where fine, immature peach fuzz grew softly.

Smooch.

His moist tongue slid down along the skin. The jelly-like sensation was incredibly ticklish.

Surprised by the unexpected contact, Eun-hwi blinked his wide-open eyes and stretched his arms to pull Moon-beom closer. In that moment, the weight that came with him made Eun-hwi lose his balance and fall back onto the sofa with a thud.

“You said you wanted a reward.”

“Mm-hmm. That’s why I’m doing this.”

Looking up at the face filling his view, he asked:

“Can’t you give me all of it now instead of just a little?”

If he was going to give it anyway, he wanted all of it. He looked up with an expression earnestly asking not to tease him too much.

Moon-beom, who had been supporting his collapsed upper body by propping against the opposite armrest, stared at the pouting Eun-hwi with darkened eyes and said:

“You mischievous dokkaebi. All you think about is getting laid whenever you get the chance.”

“But I’m not a dokkaebi anymore, right?”

“What do you mean you’re not? You’re still acting like a baby dokkaebi.”

Perhaps it was because he inherited the blood of Kim Gabi, the king of dokkaebis.

Despite gaining a human appearance, Eun-hwi’s dokkaebi abilities hadn’t disappeared.

He still had excellent night vision, senses several times more sensitive than others, and could create dokkaebi fire in his hands.

Considering that the amount of spiritual power transferred through physical contact remained unchanged, it seemed only his outward appearance had changed.

“I’m not a baby. I’m an adult human…”

Moon-beom carefully examined the half-dokkaebi who was chattering while rolling his large eyes like hard candy.

Under the fine hair that scattered gently at the slightest touch were eyebrows as neat as if drawn; clearly double-lidded eyes with mysterious pupils that, though darker in color now, still didn’t seem human; lips with seductive shadows unlike his skin that smelled of unripe sweetness like a baby’s.

His body was smooth, without curved hills or bumpy muscles.

The excitement of being able to leave his mark on that snow-white body came simultaneously with guilt piercing his heart. Moon-beom casually stroked the cheek his tongue had touched and offhandedly replied:

“You’re talking about being an adult human when you haven’t even fully peeled your skin yet.”

“Huh? I practiced while Yeo Moon-beom was away, and now I can peel it completely. Want to see?”

Eun-hwi, with an impossibly innocent face, fumbled with the front of his pants. He seemed quite accustomed to modern clothing, as his hand naturally lowered the zipper.

“What are you doing, pulling down your pants in a place like this?”

“Isn’t this Yeo Moon-beom’s room?”

Since he was using an entire floor as the chairman’s office except for part of the secretarial area, Eun-hwi wasn’t entirely wrong. Moon-beom glanced at the nameplate on Jang Gitae’s desk bearing his own name and the title of chairman.

“Ha…”

It was laughable to be picky about location now, after having outdoor play in front of thousands of fireflies. In this already arousing situation, the special nature of being in the chairman’s office made his lower body unbearably tense.

“Look, Yeo Moon-beom. The head of my pepper is showing.”

Taking out his dick from his underwear with the glans slightly exposed, the half-dokkaebi chuckled and asked as if seeking confirmation:

“I’m really an adult now, right?”
