The Dignity of the Omega – Chapter 38

#38

Enrique hesitated many times. But leaving his aroused body as it was felt too painful. He wasn’t used to enduring pain or discomfort. In the end, Enrique pulled the cord. He regretted it the moment he pulled, but it was already done.

Somehow his heart was pounding. It felt like he was doing something wrong.

Should I cancel it even now…?

Enrique chewed his lip, considering. But his body was already swelling with anticipation.

A moment later, the door opened and Damiel, in his knight’s uniform, slipped into the bedroom. Unlike usual, he looked slightly flustered, and also a bit pleased.

It was a familiar situation for both of them.

Instead of wasting words, Damiel walked steadily to the bed. The knight’s calloused hand slowly approached and gently stroked Enrique’s slightly flushed cheek. The man’s touch made Enrique’s senses perk up.

“I’m glad you called for me,” Damiel whispered with crescent eyes. Then he put his knee on the bed.

Soft lips met. The familiar large hand slipped under the sheets, caressing up Enrique’s thigh.

“Haa…”

Enrique exhaled a heated breath, twisting his waist slightly. His body grew even hotter with anticipation. The hand that had slipped under the thin nightgown gently grasped Enrique’s erect member.

“Mmm…”

Enrique reacted honestly as he always did. Damiel overlapped their lips. Enrique slightly opened his mouth, welcoming the soft, moist lips.

As the kiss deepened, and Enrique was about to reach out with both hands to wrap around Damiel’s neck—

“…?!!!!”

Damiel suddenly raised his body and darted his gaze towards the window.

With the sound of the window flying open, the cold winter night air rushed into the room. Enrique, startled, also raised his upper body, his hair fluttering in the cold wind.

“Who’s there!” Damiel shouted, taking a defensive stance in front of Enrique.

Enrique saw the curtains covering the window billowing in the wind. Soon, through the curtains fluttering in the wind, he saw a single black shadow standing tall.

“An intruder-!”

Damiel shouted, shielding Enrique with his body. At that shout, the bedroom door burst open and several knights poured in with drawn swords.

The knights surrounded the intruder who had entered through the window. The swords in the knights’ hands flashed menacingly. Only after confirming this did Damiel turn around and carefully wrap Enrique’s body with the bed sheet.

“Who are you!”

“Identify yourself! Or we’ll kill you on the spot!”

The knights shouted with voices full of wariness. Just as the surroundings became noisy with commotion, servants and soldiers poured into the bedroom. With the candles the servants brought in, the room became as bright as day.

In the bright candlelight, the face of the black intruder, alternately hidden and revealed by the curtains, showed itself. The one standing tall by the window, wrapped in a black cloak, was none other than Anture.

“Anture?”

Enrique called Anture’s name in a bewildered voice. The knights who also recognized Anture’s face showed signs of confusion.

“Haah…”

Enrique sighed, roughly running his hand through his hair. He could only sigh at the absurd situation.

His body, which had been fully aroused, had long since cooled. Enrique got off the bed, wrapping the sheet around his body clad in a thin nightgown.

“It’s the Prince of Ruben. Everyone, sheathe your swords and withdraw.”

At Enrique’s low command, the knights immediately returned their swords to their scabbards. However, they hesitated to retreat outside the room immediately.

“It’s fine, so withdraw now. All of you too.”

Enrique waved his hand towards the servants who were each holding vases and candlesticks as makeshift weapons. Hearing his firm tone, they finally disappeared outside the bedroom door. However, Damiel remained in the bedroom, standing firmly in front of Enrique as if to protect him.

“What on earth are you doing, Your Highness?” Enrique asked in a cold voice, glaring at Anture.

Anture’s face, standing under the flickering candlelight, was pale and expressionless. His pitch-black eyes of unfathomable depth looked back and forth between Damiel and Enrique. Then soon, his black pupils fixed on Enrique’s lips. The lips that had just been sharing a deep kiss with Damiel were wet with saliva and flushed red. Enrique unconsciously started to cover his lips, then stopped and raised his chin with cold eyes.

“Even visiting your fiancé’s bedroom in the middle of the night is improper, let alone breaking in through the window without permission. What kind of rudeness is this?”

At Enrique’s cold words, Anture, with a frighteningly expressionless face, opened his tightly closed mouth.

“Am I supposed to just stand by and watch while you try to mix bodies with another man, leaving me behind? Enrique.”

“It’s not your place to interfere with what I do until we’re married, Your Highness.”

“You are my fiancé.”

Anture’s tone was chillingly cold. Enrique was surprised at how threatening Anture’s expressionless white face and cold voice were.

“But we’re not married yet.”

Enrique responded coldly, hiding his inner feelings. Then he glanced at the window where the cold wind was rushing in. Enrique’s bedroom was on the second floor. Surely he hadn’t been climbing up to the bedroom window every night to watch?

“I’ll overlook it this time, considering it an act of remaining youthful impulsiveness. Please return to your quarters now.”

A sound of teeth grinding could be heard from Anture. Expression began to creep into Anture’s white face, which had been frighteningly expressionless.

“You’re going to send me away and stick with that bastard again?”

A vicious expression with a vicious tone. It was a side of Anture Enrique had never seen before. Enrique unconsciously stiffened at Anture’s violent demeanor. The fierce aura emitted by an alpha on the verge of losing control from anger was enough to make one’s flesh tremble.

“Anture!”

Enrique finally shouted Anture’s name loudly. At the sound of Enrique calling his name, Anture’s eyes, which were about to turn completely, wavered slightly.

“Enrique…”

The vicious aura on Anture’s face subtly subsided. And instead, a deep look of distress rippled across it. Just as Enrique was inwardly sighing with relief at seeing this—

“Please withdraw now as His Highness said.”

Damiel spoke in a low but forceful voice. Enrique frowned, glancing at Damiel’s back. Damiel stepping in here would only serve to provoke Anture again. Damiel wasn’t stupid enough not to know that.

“You…”

Anture’s black eyes bore down on Damiel. The fierce and violent aura that had subsided momentarily was felt to be rising explosively again.

“I said, please withdraw now.”

Damiel said again. He seemed determined to provoke Anture.

“Damiel.”

Enrique called Damiel’s name to signal him to stop, placing his hand on Damiel’s shoulder. Anture’s face twisted viciously as he saw Enrique’s hand touch Damiel’s shoulder.

“…!!”

Anture lunged forward in an instant to grab Enrique’s wrist. Or rather, he tried to. Damiel caught Anture’s wrist and stepped in front of Enrique to block him.

“Stop…!”

Just as Enrique was about to speak, the two men lunged at each other as if on cue.

The two large-bodied men began fighting, striking each other. Every time someone’s fist connected somewhere, there was a heavy sound like bones cracking. Their movements were so swift that it was hard to fully grasp how the situation was unfolding, even while watching with eyes wide open.

“Ha!”

Enrique let out a bitter laugh as he watched the two men viciously striking each other right in front of him.

Bang! Crash!

With the two men’s fight, the bedroom furnishings were broken and damaged one by one. Being hit by a punch and flying back to crush furniture with their back, then getting up and grabbing a broken furniture leg to strike the other’s waist, blocking that and delivering a hook to the abdomen, nimbly dodging and striking the head…

In a word… it was chaos.

Enrique had no intention whatsoever of trying to break up the two. Anture, who had lost his reason to jealousy, was a problem, but Damiel, who had deliberately provoked the fight knowing full well he was provoking his opponent, was also at fault. The aftermath should be their responsibility. Enrique had no intention of getting involved and getting hurt trying to break them up, or screaming and wasting energy.
