[Warlock] Since We’re Talking About Cygnus’ Rank 1 Score…
So, their score is over 900 points higher than the top rank on other servers.
If we assume they’re gaining 2 points per match (excluding win streak bonuses), that means they’ve won 450 more matches than other top players.
But since no one has a 100% win rate, they’d have had to recover lost points too—so realistically, they’ve probably played nearly 500 or more extra matches.
Doesn’t that seem weird? At that pace, they’d have to be grinding non-stop 24 hours a day.

Unaware that he had become a minor topic on the forums, Sa-yoon was in the middle of yet another battlefield. By now, he could tell what skills his enemies were using just by sound, even with his eyes closed.
“Agh…”
But just knowing a skill didn’t mean he could always counter it. Struck by the attack of the player Dalat500dong, Chasa collapsed on the spot.
“This flimsy-ass robe…”
If only he’d slotted in one more dodge skill… While Sa-yoon sighed in frustration, the screen, once bursting with color, faded to a dull gray—his character’s death effect.

However, Dalat500dong, who was covered in debuffs, barely managed a few steps before dropping dead as well.
A 1v1 fight remained, but Sa-yoon, stifling a small yawn, stood up without hesitation. By the time he grabbed a glass of water, it would probably be over. He trusted Killer to take care of the rest. Besides, a dead player could do nothing but cheer from the sidelines.

But when he returned with his drink, the battle was still raging. Not only had it not ended, but the fight had taken a completely unexpected turn.

Killer was standing in front of Dalat500dong’s corpse… bowing?
Divine offered a variety of emotes, including different ways to greet other players. The standard wave was the default, but the one Killer was using was a limited-time event emote from two seasons ago.
A slight nod of the head, resembling a solemn bow—players had long since repurposed it. Rather than a simple greeting, it was widely understood as a sign of mourning.

Still confused, Sa-yoon shifted his view. Since a dead player’s vision was restricted, he had to move his mouse around. Only then did he spot the last enemy trapped in a snare in the distance.

Just like Killer pointed out, both opponents flooding the chat with hearts were members of Noize.
They say even a ruined dynasty takes three years to collapse, huh? Even after their guild master went AWOL, they were still somehow scraping by. With over a hundred members, Noize was one of the largest guilds, which might explain why they kept running into them today.

Killer was a lunatic, sure, but he wasn’t the type to do this for no reason. Sa-yoon scrolled up in the chat, and it didn’t take long to find what had led to this.

Sa-yoon clicked his tongue. Guess getting killed by DoT damage really pissed him off. Again, in a battlefield, most insults from the enemy could be translated into compliments.

But if the trash talk turned sexual, that was another matter entirely. Seeing the full story, Sa-yoon could understand why Killer was going off.

Come to think of it, even when he was using a temporary nickname to hide his identity, Killer would act personally offended anytime someone trashed Warlocks. Some things never changed.
“Man, you’re sweet…”
Sa-yoon chuckled softly. When Killer was on the enemy team, he was the most infuriating opponent ever. But as an ally? Absolutely rock-solid. Smiling warmly, Sa-yoon placed his hands on the keyboard.

At some point, the spearman had broken free from the trap and was now charging toward them like a raging bull.
Killer, meanwhile, was still solemnly paying his respects to Dalat500dong’s corpse.
