Stalkerizing – Chapter 113

[Guild] Chasa: This is from back when commander designation transfers were a thing.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: That’s ancient history.

[Guild] Freedeal: Before the third update?

[Guild] Freedeal: Damn, that brings back memories… Reality check, those were the days.

[Guild] Shokrates: Grandma, your old stories are so entertaining.

[Guild] Chasa: There used to be a ranker named Go Se-won.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Ah.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Oh.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: I know that guy.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Warlock.

[Guild] furple: ???

[Guild] Chasa: Yeah, that’s right.

[Guild] Shokrates: Damn.

[Guild] Shokrates: How do you even know a ranker from another server?

Sa-yoon agreed as well. Someone else actually knew about Go Se-won?

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Have you guys never seen his videos? For real???

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: He was kinda famous back in the early days for posting Warlock skill combination guides.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Then he just disappeared at some point.

[Guild] Freedeal: Frog, breathe when you talk.

[Guild] Shokrates: Classic PvP Warlock behavior.

[Guild] Freedeal: So you’re saying this guy made all the rankers quit?

[Guild] Chasa: Nah, not exactly.

“Hmm… where do I even start?”

In the beginning, there was a guild called GLORY. A small elite group that had migrated from another game, they were well-known for having members with above-average specs and skills. But among them, the most outstanding figure by far was their guild master, Go Se-won.

Sure, being the guild master of a ranker guild made him famous, but what really set him apart back then was that, while everyone else was flocking to the obviously overpowered, meta-dominating classes, he was the only player uploading Warlock gameplay videos.

Back then, Sa-yoon was bedridden after ligament surgery. With nothing else to do, he mindlessly consumed whatever videos the algorithm recommended, eventually stumbling upon Go Se-won’s content. He got so absorbed in the mute gameplay videos that three hours passed in a blink. After thoroughly analyzing them, he immediately started playing Divine. At the time, he genuinely believed Warlocks were the ultimate god-tier class.

[Guild] Chasa: Go Se-won lost a character deletion match.

[Guild] Freedeal: What?

[Guild] furple: Was there some kind of character deletion tournament on the server?

[Guild] Chasa: No, but ever since I started playing, there’s been bad blood between Go Se-won and Noize.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Wait, Noize? Again? They’re involved in this too?

[Guild] Freedeal: You really don’t know how Noize operates, huh?

…Wait, this wasn’t right.

Unfortunately, Sa-yoon was terrible at summarizing. The more he explained, the deeper he felt himself sinking into a mess. Panicking, he hurriedly opened the game’s homepage.

[Guild] Chasa: Hold on.

[Guild] Chasa: Someone must have already written a summary about this.

If he couldn’t explain it properly, he’d just show someone else’s explanation. Searching through the server forums, he found countless old threads from that era. Sorting them by most upvoted comments, he quickly located the post he needed and copied the link.

[Cygnus] From the Glory vs. Noize War to the Character Deletion Match

Author: Summary King Dormammu

※※※ This is a summary.

※※※ No personal opinions included.

※※※ If anything in the main post is incorrect, assume you’re right.

First Siege War

([Server Announcement] ‘Go Se-won has transferred commander status to Bbaero.jpg’)

Go Se-won, who had held the title, transferred commander status to the Spearmaster, Bbaero.
(Noize_“Blatant Clique Favoritism.jpg”)

Noize criticized the decision, claiming, “Appointing a Spearmaster instead of a Guardian is blatant clique favoritism.”
(GoSe-won_“If you’re salty, just be #1 yourself.jpg”)

Go Se-won fired back at Noize, saying if they had a problem, they should take the top spot themselves.

Noize retaliated with, “Let’s see who gets the last laugh.”

Second Defense War

Noize, failing to secure first place in the defense war, got salty and publicly trashed Warlocks in the server chat, saying, “A Warlock can be wiped out in a single combo.”
(Anyone got a screenshot? Please submit it.)

At this point, opinions were divided. Some people thought Noize was just overreacting, while others agreed that Guardians were a safer bet for the role than Spearmasters and that the favoritism issue was real.
(Noize_“If you’re so confident, how about a character deletion match?.jpg”)

The two kept arguing in the server chat until Noize suddenly challenged Go Se-won to a character deletion match. Go Se-won accepted.
(Cygnus_Gambling_Party.jpg)

The entire server lost its mind. Everyone and their mother started betting on the outcome.
(Shocking_Character_Deletion_Result.jpg)

Go Se-won lost.

Go Se-won, staying true to his word, live-streamed himself systematically destroying his items one by one, saying, “I accept my loss with humility.”

The Aftermath:

“I bet everything on Go Se-won winning and on the loser running away without deleting their character. Lost it all.”

Living up to the name. GG

This ending is too sad, take my upvote.

Se-won hyung ㅜ I refuse to accept this result ㅜ

└ Lmao your “hyung” is already deleting his gear.

Why does it physically hurt to watch his destruction stream? That gear was priceless, man…

Warlocks have been doomed since they started acting like a god-tier class lol.

Let’s be real, Go Se-won’s Warlock videos were insanely overrated. So many people got baited into making Warlocks because of that hype.

└ Bruh, it was just a joke, no need to get serious.

That character deletion match was legendary. If it were me, I’d be too devastated to follow through and just dip.

└ Tch, like that’s something to brag about.

Se-won, you bastard! My money! Se-won, you bastard! My money! Se-won, you bastard! My money! Se-won, you bastard! My money! Se-won, you bastard! My money! Se-won, you bastard! My money!

   └ Dude, calm down.

└ Do I look calm to you?!

└ Wait… did you bet on Go Se-won and lose?

   └ F**… He was rank 1, I thought he’d win…ㅠㅠ*

   └ Same, man…

At first, I thought Noize was just throwing a tantrum over not getting commander, but turns out they were actually skilled enough to be pissed about it lol.

└ If they were that mad, they should’ve just climbed to rank 1 and taken commander fair and square. Why challenge a character deletion match?

   └ Welcome, chaos gremlin.

└ Tbh, once you’re commander, you get exclusive skills, so it naturally favors whoever held the role before.

└ Then shouldn’t they have petitioned for a system rework instead of throwing a fit?

Where can I watch the character deletion match?

   └ (Link)

   └ Thanks, thanks.

└ Who is this guy? His channel is all Xion content except for this one random deletion match video. Super sus.

└ Look at that clickbait title: “Teaching a fake god-tier class a lesson.” Lmao.

└ Trying to cash in on the Go Se-won hype?

└ Nah, that channel belongs to Noize’s younger brother. He’s a variety streamer, just uploaded the match to show off his brother’s win.

└ How do you even “cash in” on a character that’s in the middle of deleting itself…? ㅠ

└ (This comment has been deleted.)

└ (This comment has been deleted.)

└ Damn, look at the hate comments.

└ How does everyone just know this kind of stuff? Am I the only one playing this game like I’m stranded on a deserted island?

└ Some people treat the server chat like their personal group DMs. Just by playing, you end up absorbing an insane amount of TMI.

└ After watching this video, I realized it’s damn near impossible to beat a broken meta class with a dumpster-tier one. Screw this, I’m deleting my Sharpshooter.

So if Go Se-won quits, what happens to Glory? Weren’t they all from another dead game?

└ I know someone in Glory, and apparently, they’re all quitting together.

[Guild] Freedeal: Oh, I just watched everything.

[Guild] Oath’s Vow: Honestly, having a Warlock as commander was a bit much back then.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: I still can’t believe Noize beat Go Se-won.

[Guild] Shokrates: No way a top-tier Warlock loses to a normal Guardian, right?

[Guild] Oath’s Vow: Well, considering the era, it actually makes sense.

[Guild] Oath’s Vow: Back then, Guardians dominated the entire meta…

[Guild] furple: Ugh, meta abusers, begone.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Is the deletion match video still up?

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: I clicked the link in the comments, but it says the video is private.

[Guild] Chasa: Hold on.

This matchmaking delay was getting ridiculous. Sa-yoon checked the timer—over twenty minutes had passed. With a sigh, he reopened the game’s homepage and searched for the old character deletion match video.

“Huh?”

It was definitely there before… But now, it was nowhere to be found. Even on the supposed channel of Noize’s younger brother, there were no results.

Looked like they’d set it to private.

[Guild] Chasa: Looks like they took the video down.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: This is seriously weird…

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: It doesn’t make sense that Go Se-won lost.

[Guild] Chasa: I mean, I lose to Noize sometimes too.

[Guild] Shokrates: No way. You’re lying.

It was true.

The only reason it seemed unbelievable was because Reaper guild members were all exceptionally skilled. In reality, Noize wasn’t some complete scrub.

No matter how backwater a server was, you couldn’t become a ranker without solid fundamental skills. The only thing holding Noize back from being a consistently top-tier player was just one thing: their skill level fluctuated wildly.

[Guild] Chasa: When they’re bad, it’s like, how the hell did this idiot climb this high?

[Guild] Chasa: But when they’re good, they play like they’re possessed.

[Guild] Shokrates: They were absolute garbage during the deletion match, though.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: I couldn’t believe my eyes watching them walk straight into a trap.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Watching Cygnus’ commander maneuver and then seeing Noize’s movement felt like night and day.

[Guild] Shokrates: No, no, THIS was the real moment:

[Guild] Shokrates: Oath’s Vow: Ah, this one’s already mine.

[Guild] Oath’s Vow: 🙂

[Guild] Shokrates: You’re not even denying it, huh?

[Guild] Freedeal: LOL

Even with Sa-yoon’s explanation, the guild members still didn’t fully believe it.

Noize’s usual pattern was exactly this: when they played well, they were insanely good, but if they underestimated their opponent or got too flustered, they wouldn’t even perform at half their true potential.

It hadn’t seemed strange when facing them in battle before, but now that they were actually talking about it, something felt off. Could a player’s performance really fluctuate that much just from nerves?

But the thought didn’t have time to go any further.

The long, agonizing queue had finally ended. A match had been found.

Revealing his hidden nature, he sneered— “I bet this is how you always play it off when you get rejected after creeping on people. I’m the one being stalked here, so why the hell are you acting like the bigger person?” After being repeatedly accused, Sa-yoon’s patience snapped. “Alright, Shin-jae.
