“What good is knowing my name? Kid.”
I’m Lee Sangmin, he added in a whisper as he moved closer to Eunhong. For some reason, Eunhong’s pheromones were growing stronger, making the alpha’s expression loosen.
“You’re the one who framed An Woohyun for drunk driving, aren’t you? Lee Sangmin.”
“Yeah. So what if I did?”
“Did you or didn’t you? Say it clearly.”
Sangmin snorted, grabbed Eunhong by the collar, and slammed him hard against the wall. Eunhong’s head shook, and a groan escaped involuntarily. Yet strangely, the impact cleared his nausea, making him feel like he might survive. Eunhong raised his head and glared directly at Sangmin.
“An Woohyun was in the passenger seat, and you were driving. Mr. Lee Sangmin.”
“Yeah. I did it. So what?”
Eunhong looked down at the wrist gripping his collar, then raised his hand to grab the watch.
Sangmin’s gaze followed in the same direction. Heat rose where their skin made contact.
“This. This watch. You’re the one who ordered him to steal this and other items, aren’t you? Told him to bring them… And you’re the one who sold everything and pocketed the money, right?”
“…You.”
Sangmin narrowed his eyes. His already hostile appearance looked even filthier, making Eunhong frown. Then, as he was examining Eunhong with heavy breaths, Sangmin suddenly began to pull open his collar.
“Ugh!”
Eunhong struggled to avoid the rough hands groping his body.
“What are you doing? Are you crazy? Stop it!”
After finding what he wanted on Eunhong’s body, Sangmin pushed him away. Eunhong quickly reached for what had been taken, but Sangmin moved faster.
With a thud, Sangmin threw the phone he’d found in Eunhong’s possession to the floor, shattering the screen loudly. Simultaneously, a short notification sound indicated that the recording function had turned off. As if that wasn’t enough, Sangmin, unable to contain his anger, repeatedly stomped on Eunhong’s phone with his dress shoe. Pieces of the completely destroyed phone scattered everywhere.
Damn… my phone… As Eunhong muttered while catching his breath, the alpha’s face twisted with rage.
“This crazy bastard, oh! Shit! Hey, who the hell are you?!”
Perhaps more angered that he had been momentarily swayed by Eunhong’s pheromones, Sangmin was going wild. Eunhong staggered to his feet.
“Even though you destroyed that, it’s already saved. On the cloud.”
He actually wasn’t sure whether it had saved or not, but he tried bluffing. Eunhong laughed coldly while straightening his clothes.
“It would be better for you to turn yourself in now. For both theft and drunk driving.”
Sangmin, who had been standing still and glaring at Eunhong, rubbed his face and smoothed out his crumpled expression. He cracked his neck and massaged his shoulders before standing straight in front of Eunhong.
“So it’s you. That pathetic sucker An Woohyun always ridiculed and mocked over drinks.”
“…”
“Fuck, just my rotten luck.”
After chuckling and sneering for a while, Sangmin continued.
“Sorry, but you’re greatly mistaken. That bastard An Woohyun handed everything over himself. Don’t you get it even after being played like that? You came all this way just to confirm that it wasn’t his doing. That’s why you get stabbed in the back and treated like a sucker, you deficient bastard. Your back must be really sore, huh?”
Eunhong clenched his jaw so hard it felt like it might break. The discomfort he’d been feeling in his stomach flared into fire. He tightly balled his fists.
Coming all this way, confirming things at this point? He had hoped Woohyun hadn’t done it. He had hoped that a relationship he’d maintained for over 10 years wasn’t like that. His true desire was to hear that someone else had tricked or ordered Woohyun to do it, that Woohyun hadn’t done it voluntarily.
Until the end, he couldn’t bring himself to discard his faith in his friend like an old shoe. It would make all the feelings and time he had invested feel too hollow.
“What a piece of trash, making me feel disgusted. Today’s already been nothing but problems.”
“…”
“So what if it’s saved? What are you going to do about it?”
Sangmin approached Eunhong with a sly smile, then suddenly twisted his face.
“Well, look at this. You’re trying to seduce me in this situation.”
“What are you…?”
Sangmin grabbed his shoulders, and strangely, the strength drained from Eunhong’s body. Staggering, Eunhong unconsciously grabbed the body in front of him. It was a reflexive action to avoid falling, but it ended up looking like an embrace. As the scent and pheromones came close, the nausea that had subsided rose again like a storm.
“Ugh, hack…!”
“What’s this, are you putting on a show?”
At the same time, the black watch on Eunhong’s wrist lit up red and began to beep frantically. Eunhong used every ounce of strength he had to push the alpha away. As he braced himself against the ground and dry heaved, sweat poured down like rain. No, rather than sweat, it felt like the pheromones pooled inside his body were flowing out.
“Ugh! Let go!”
Sangmin slipped his hands under Eunhong’s armpits and lifted him up with a jerk. Then he threw the limp Eunhong onto the hood of a nearby car. Just as Eunhong was trying to turn his body to escape, Sangmin pinned Eunhong’s legs, climbed on top, and yanked open the front of his coat. The pheromones that had been trapped inside the thick clothing gushed out like a bursting dam.
“…Shit, are you crazy? What kind of pheromones… What are you? Really.”
The alpha’s glossy eyes revealed a sticky gaze like they were coated in oil. Seeing his own reflection in those eyes, Eunhong trembled and struggled.
“Let go, you crazy bastard!”
“Stay still, just stay still for a bit. Fuck!”
Slap. Eunhong’s head jerked to the side from the back of Sangmin’s hand.
It wasn’t just that his skull was ringing from that single blow. His body wasn’t obeying him. Eunhong shook his head in confusion. This filthy feeling of being completely intoxicated was the same as that time. The day of his manifestation.
The alpha, chewing on curses, pinned Eunhong’s body down and buried his face in his neck. Trying to push him away with a feeling of revulsion, Eunhong found his fingertips wouldn’t respond properly. The pheromones released by the unfamiliar alpha felt like needles piercing his skin, creating a horrible sensation.
Eunhong raised his eyes, which were blurring with pain. His mouth seemed to have burst open, as a metallic taste of blood circulated, and his vision swam due to the rising fever.
Along with a filthy premonition, his heart pounded painfully. What should I do, what should I do? His thoughts weren’t functioning properly. Amid all this, thoughts of Jaeha suddenly welled up, tormenting Eunhong even more.
Cancel what I said about not wanting to worry him. Cancel what I said about wanting to make him angry. Eunhong repeatedly banged the back of his head against the hood, trying to regain his senses.
As Eunhong struggled, the alpha seemed more stimulated and began to bite his neck, not satisfied with just sucking on it. The filthy sensation of hands roaming his body drove Eunhong to thrash around.
“Ah… Get… get… off… Ah…”
It seemed like his voice wasn’t coming out properly anymore. His entire body felt heavy as if submerged in water, and his senses tangled as time seemed to slow down.
“Y-you… ugh… you… dog… bastard… Let go…”
Eunhong reached out with his trembling hand and felt Sangmin’s face. Concentrating all his strength into his thumb, he jabbed it deep into the eye.
“Aaargh!”
As he stabbed hard enough to feel the soft, damp sensation, Sangmin screamed and violently shoved Eunhong away. Eunhong’s body rolled across the hood and fell onto the road beside the car.
“Ugh!”
Eunhong cried out as his back hit the cold asphalt hard. Just as he was trying to somehow get up, the bright light of headlights suddenly shone into his face. A screeching sound of tires tore through the air.
Eunhong closed his eyes tightly. He thought he would be hit by the car without being able to move.
“…Hah, hah.”
Even breathing heavily was difficult. The sound of his heart pounding resonated loudly in his ears. As Eunhong, gasping for breath, barely opened his eyes, he saw a silver grille stopped right in front of him. In the driver’s seat sat Lee Jaeha with an expressionless face.
“…!”
Seeing him felt like coming back from the dead, and Eunhong trembled before collapsing flat on the ground. Not only did he have no strength left to endure, but the moment he saw Jaeha’s face, what little strength remained drained away completely.
“…Ha… haha.”
Absurdly, laughter escaped him. He truly was a consistent guy. How do you always manage to appear exactly when I need you?
“…Jae, Jaeha.”
As he was gasping for breath, Jaeha’s legs, rushing toward him from the driver’s seat, appeared to be six in number.
Ha, shit. Even this is similar to that time. The memory of his manifestation day was maddening. The pheromones flowing down his skin felt like lava, making his whole body burn. What would Jaeha say when he saw him? Regret and shame rose up, making his already hot face feel like it would completely burn up.
However, Jaeha bypassed Eunhong and rushed toward Sangmin, who was rubbing his eyes. Then, with the same momentum he had rushed in with, he launched a kick with his full weight behind it. Sangmin let out a bestial scream at the barrage of kicks that came without a word. There was also the sound of something breaking with a crack.
Ah, is this a bit different?
Eunhong forgot his panting and opened his eyes wide. He wanted to stop Jaeha, but his body was stiff, and his voice wouldn’t come out properly. It was because the sweet taste in his mouth was so thick that his tongue felt completely dry.
