One early summer weekend, Kang Chi-yu’s parents and Hyun Tae-oh’s parents came to visit. Originally, Chi-yu and Tae-oh had planned to head over to the Z-Zone, but since Catdog was still too frightened to leave the house, they had no choice but to invite the parents instead.
Because both families already knew about Catdog and Hayang, the moment they laid eyes on them, they were overjoyed. After offering only the briefest greeting to their sons, they eagerly unpacked their arms full of gifts—everything prepared with the two creatures in mind.
“Look at this, Catdog. You like this kind of toy, don’t you?”
Chi-yu’s mother waved a cat fishing rod through the air, and Catdog spread its wings wide, leaping up to chase it around.
“Oh my, even its wings are beautiful.”
Since they already knew both Catdog and Hayang had been through beastification experiments, none of the parents made the mistake of asking why Catdog had wings.
“Oh, Mother, did you dye your hair?”
Chi-yu slipped off his cap and asked Tae-oh’s mother, who was admiring Catdog’s wings.
After the two had started dating, they’d agreed over the phone to call each other’s parents “Mother” and “Father.”
“Yes, I did. How does it look? Does it suit me?”
“It makes you look so much younger. Honestly, it looks amazing on you.”
Chi-yu couldn’t take his eyes off Tae-oh’s mother as he spoke.
Watching this, Chi-yu’s own mother—who had been feeding Catdog treats—smiled knowingly.
“Ever since he was little, the moment he saw yellow, his eyes would change like that.”
“Ah, that’s right. Chi-yu, you always loved yellow, didn’t you?” Tae-oh’s mother nodded.
Sitting beside Tae-oh’s father, Chi-yu’s father stroked Hayang curiously as he chimed in,
“He was obsessed with yellow. So much so that I even painted the car yellow just to drive him to and from school. He begged me for it, said he wanted the car to be yellow.”
At that, everyone laughed together. Looking at his son, Chi-yu’s father asked if he remembered. Chi-yu gave an awkward smile.
“Of course. That was my favorite car. What color do you drive now?”
“Black. Always liked black.”
At his father’s reply, Chi-yu murmured under his breath, “Ah, black.”
Across the room, Tae-oh rested his chin on his hand, staring intently at him.
“Hey, why can’t you take your eyes off Chi-yu? You’re about to burn a hole in his face.”
Unable to take it anymore, Tae-oh’s mother tapped his thigh lightly.
But Tae-oh didn’t even glance away. He replied flatly,
“Why shouldn’t I look at what’s mine?”
Tae-oh’s mother flustered, fanning herself. “Oh my, oh my!”
Chi-yu’s mother tried to hide her grin, pretending to fuss with Catdog. Both fathers coughed at the same time.
Even in front of their parents, Tae-oh was shameless. Chi-yu could only shoot him a brief glare.

The parents, who had spent the entire day doting on Catdog and Hayang, finally left after dinner. When Tae-oh’s mother announced she’d come again next week to see the creatures, Tae-oh frowned. But Chi-yu smiled warmly and said they were always welcome, seeing them off.
After the house quieted down, Tae-oh suddenly asked as they tidied up,
“You really like yellow?”
“Hm? Yeah. I always have, you know that.”
“True. But during filming, you didn’t pick the yellow ball.”
His lips pushed out into the faintest pout.
Chi-yu let out a laugh, shaking his head.
“Wow, you’re the type to hold grudges? That was ages ago.”
“With you, I’ve got a beginning and an end. So be careful. If I get hurt, it lingers.”
His brows twitched as he spoke, making Chi-yu’s lips curl into a smile.
“So… you’re asking if I still like yellow?”
“Yeah. You know what? With yellow… I just want to have it all.”
As he gathered up the fishing rod toys scattered across the couch, the words slipped out without much thought.
But Tae-oh’s eyes lit up as he pressed,
“You want all the yellow?”
“Yeah.”
Chi-yu’s casual answer made Tae-oh nod slowly. To him, it was just a throwaway conversation.
But two days later, when Hyun Tae-oh showed up with his hair dyed a vivid golden blond, Chi-yu realized just how badly he had misspoken.
“Tae-oh, your hair…!”
Chi-yu’s eyes widened as he pointed.
“Do you want it?”
The words froze him in place.
That was it. The reason Tae-oh had suddenly abandoned the hair color he’d kept for over twenty years.
He had forgotten—if only for a moment—that Hyun Tae-oh was a madman, at least when it came to Kang Chi-yu. No, not forgotten—he just hadn’t thought Tae-oh would actually go this far.
Too late, Chi-yu regretted ever saying he wanted “all the yellow.”
“Say it, Chi-yu. Do you want it?”
His sheer intensity left Chi-yu at a loss for words. And yet… Tae-oh’s golden hair suited him so well that asking why seemed impossible.
“You look good blond, too.”
The truth tumbled out before he could stop it.
At that, Tae-oh’s lips curved into a slow, satisfied smile.
“Good?”
“Yeah, really good.”
“Do you want it?”
He wouldn’t let it go until he heard it. So Chi-yu nodded.
“Yeah. I want it.”
And only after saying the words Tae-oh wanted did Chi-yu realize what he truly meant.
“Then I’ll give it to you.”
Tae-oh pulled him into his arms and kissed him like he was devouring him whole.

That night, with his hair dyed bright yellow, Hyun Tae-oh was relentless. His kisses were rough, his touch deep and consuming. His lips and tongue moved greedily, sucking and licking every inch of Chi-yu’s body.
What had he been thinking about while he dyed his hair? Chi-yu absentmindedly ran his fingers through the golden strands as Tae-oh buried himself against his chest, lapping at him without pause.
Mistaking the gesture for approval, Tae-oh lifted his saliva-slicked face and asked,
“Should I make my eyes yellow too?”
Chi-yu’s head snapped up, brows furrowed in alarm. Turning one’s eyes yellow meant entering the pre-Rampage stage—where even breathing came with pain.
And for no reason other than Chi-yu’s fondness for the color, Tae-oh was the kind of man who would endure that agony.
Seeing the sharp disapproval in his expression, Tae-oh lowered his head again, mouthing at his chest as he murmured,
“Just kidding.”
But his expression said anything but joking. Chi-yu sighed and let his head fall back onto the pillow.
More and more lately, he realized—Hyun Tae-oh had no middle ground. Especially when it came to Kang Chi-yu, moderation didn’t exist.
It thrilled him… but it also frightened him. Because anything that burned that fiercely would eventually be reduced to ash.
“Spread your legs a little, Chi-yu.”
Tae-oh’s hand stroked his thigh gently as he spoke. His tongue still teased his nipple, while his hand prepared carefully to move inside.
Quietly, obediently, Chi-yu parted his legs.
Tae-oh straightened, rising onto his knees, and reached into the bedside drawer for something.
