Paired with My Childhood Friend 77

Childhood Friends, First Love, and First Lovers (1)

“I already erased it.”

Tae-oh grinned mischievously, like a boy caught up in mischief.

He said he deleted the coordinates the moment he teleported here, then asked if Chi-yu had seriously been bothered by it—all while his hand slid past Chi-yu’s collar and into his shirt.

“No, it’s just… you’re from another division, and this isn’t some random facility—it’s his private home…”

Chi-yu bent away, trying to slip out of Tae-oh’s snake-like touch.

“I just don’t want you keeping his coordinates… Can you let go?”

Chi-yu gripped Tae-oh’s solid forearms as he spoke, but Tae-oh had no intention of releasing him.

Pinned down, Chi-yu let out a frustrated groan.

“Hearing you get jealous makes this even more thrilling.”

“Jealous, what are you—ah, cut it out.”

Tae-oh’s big, rough hands kept folding Chi-yu forward like paper.

With Tae-oh’s arms locking him in place, he couldn’t break free, but bending his body forward was the only resistance he could manage against those shameless hands.

“Stop… don’t, ah…”

“Every little whimper makes me lose my mind.”

“Who’s whimpering… ah, seriously.”

“You’re already so damn cute I could die, and then you keep doing things that make you even cuter. What am I supposed to do with that?”

Tae-oh’s hands teased him mercilessly as he spoke.

“How did I never realize just how adorable you are until now?”

Chi-yu wondered the same.

He’d never known Hyun Tae-oh could be so brazen, so shamelessly flirtatious with both words and actions.

Still, that didn’t make this outdoor harassment any more acceptable.

Chi-yu shoved him away with all his strength.

Contrary to his expectation that Tae-oh would immediately pounce again, the other man simply stopped a few steps away, grinning brightly.

“Even your jealousy is precious. A rare sight I might never see again—let me enjoy it while I can.”

“What do you mean, something you’ll never see again?”

Chi-yu muttered while straightening his rumpled shirt.

“Because I’m not going to give you any reason to be jealous.”

And then Tae-oh’s next words froze him on the spot.

It felt like a heavy blow landed squarely in his chest.

Even back when Chi-yu had been pining alone, Tae-oh had never once done anything to provoke jealousy.

Just twice—rumors with Min Yu-hyun, and the time Yu-hyun was seen leaving his house.

But those, in the end, were only misunderstandings born of work. Tae-oh himself had done nothing wrong.

Hyun Tae-oh had always been innocent.

From before they started dating, to now, and likely far into the future, he would remain innocent.

Kang Chi-yu stared at Tae-oh’s smiling face.

A raw, unsteady feeling rose in his chest, as if it might spill over.

He felt ashamed—petty—for demanding Tae-oh erase the coordinates out of jealousy.

Sensing his expression instantly, Tae-oh stepped closer.

“What?”

“……”

“Did I piss you off by touching you? Okay, I get it. I won’t touch you outside anymore.”

“……”

“Come on, how could I hold back when you, Kang Chi-yu, get jealous? You’re too damn cute.”

Chi-yu stayed silent, just staring at him. Tae-oh grew restless, fumbling to soothe him.

“I swear I won’t do it again. If you say stop, I’ll stop—no exceptions. Are you mad? Huh? I won’t do it again, I promise. At least not outside, okay?”

“…Tae-oh.”

“Yeah, say it. Yell at me if you want.”

“You didn’t do anything wrong.”

“…What?”

“It’s me. I’m just… wired this way. It’s not like having a Guide’s coordinates matters, but I’m petty, and it bothered me more than it should have…”

“You’re not petty. Of course it would bother you. It would bother me too. Honestly, it would bother me more.”

Tae-oh’s eyes made it painfully clear how hard he was trying to protect Chi-yu’s pride.

“Anyway… I just think I’ll probably keep doing this. Acting jealous over nothing. So I wanted to tell you beforehand…”

With Tae-oh, it felt okay to admit that.

Chi-yu knew he had rough edges, and Tae-oh was handling them with grace even now. All he wanted was for him to keep doing the same in the future.

“Go on. Say it all. Whatever’s on your mind.”

“…I don’t want you tied up with any other Guide.”

So he exposed the insecurity buried deepest inside him.

More embarrassing than showing his naked body, he revealed the most selfish, vulnerable corner of his heart.

“Don’t look at anyone else. Don’t talk to anyone else. Don’t do anything for anyone else. Just look at me, like you do now. I want all of you to be mine.”

It was probably too much to ask.

If the roles were reversed, he probably couldn’t grant all of it either.

But still, he asked.

And Hyun Tae-oh—naturally—nodded without a second thought.

His voice and smile carried the same calm certainty, soothing Chi-yu completely.

“From head to toe, I’m yours. I can promise not to look at anyone else, not to talk to anyone else. As for not doing anything for anyone else—I’ve got more than enough confidence there. Looking only at you, like I do now, is basically my specialty and my hobby.”

“……”

“Even if I’m surrounded by your clingy fans, I can keep my mouth shut.”

“That’s not what I meant. I’m not telling you to ignore people like that. I mean… the ones who look at you that way…”

“I know. I get it. I understand everything.”

Tae-oh pulled him gently into his arms, speaking softly.

“I won’t. I’ll never do that.”

“Thank you. And… sorry, for being so difficult.”

“Don’t apologize. Keep being jealous. Keep being cute. I’m going crazy over it.”

Tae-oh tightened his arms around him.

Chi-yu wrapped his arms around Tae-oh’s back in return, closing his eyes.

God, he loved Hyun Tae-oh.

He loved how naturally Tae-oh said of course even to his most selfish demands.

And he loved, maybe even more, how Tae-oh never made the same selfish demands back.

Tae-oh knew their differences too well. Even though he was probably more jealous, more possessive, more obsessive by nature, he never burdened Chi-yu with it.

Chi-yu nestled against his chest and whispered softly:

“I really love you, Tae-oh.”

“Jun-hyung-ah—Lee Jun-hyung—”

Beom Do-il’s drunken mouth kept repeating Jun-hyung’s name.

Slurring, Min Yu-hyun teased him, asking if he was Jun-hyung’s mom or something. Do-il, equally slurred, shot back that he liked him more than his mom.

They kept bantering in drunken voices—“If your mom hears, she’ll cry,” and “It’s a different kind of love, so she won’t be upset.”

Do-il’s name slurred into “Beong-deo-ri,” Yu-hyun’s into “Min-yu-eong.”

And yet, somehow, they perfectly understood each other, trading nonsense back and forth.

Meanwhile, Jun-hyung was in the room Do-il and Do-jae were supposed to share, digging into the Anti Club Sung Ji-yeol ran.

Joining the Anti Club was easy, but climbing ranks was stricter.

With just an email address you could sign up, but full membership required real-name verification and various proofs.

Since neither Jun-hyung nor Do-jae could register under their real names, Do-jae reached out to Jeong Seong-gon.

Seong-gon had thought everything was over after Hyun Tae-oh roughed him up. But when Yoon Do-jae called demanding an ID and password for the Anti Club, a chill ran down his spine.

Do-jae asked with such gentlemanly politeness it barely sounded like a threat. Only after hanging up did Seong-gon realize how frighteningly coercive his words had been.

He’d already been beaten bloody by Hyun Tae-oh, and he’d paid the full cost of repairing Kang Chi-yu’s home. He thought he’d made amends.

Now Yoon Do-jae was calling too, politely but firmly demanding login credentials.

In the end, Seong-gon sank into self-reproach, wondering why he had ever dared to blackmail Kang Chi-yu at all.

Chi-yu was, without question, the number one Guide no one should ever, under any circumstances, cross.

With Seong-gon’s ID and password, Do-jae and Jun-hyung combed through the Anti Club—checking how many full members there were, how it was run, and how targets were chosen and harassed.

The site’s stark white background with the blood-red header “Anti Club” was strikingly ominous.

It felt as if you could actually see the hatred radiating from every member gathered there.

Jun-hyung and Do-jae went post by post, looking for evidence of illegal activity so they could dismantle the group properly.

It was long past midnight. They were supposed to be on a weekend trip, but naturally, they poured their time into hunting down those who had tormented Kang Chi-yu.

Min Yu-hyun and Beom Do-il eventually collapsed drunk in Tae-oh and Chi-yu’s living room, having bet on who could hold their liquor better.

Lee Jun-hyung and Yoon Do-jae stayed up until dawn digging through the Anti Club. Eventually, Jun-hyung crashed on Do-il’s bed, while Do-jae fell asleep in his own.

As for Tae-oh and Chi-yu, who never returned by sunrise, they were tangled together in a hotel next door, exploring each other without restraint.

After exposing his petty jealousy and confessing his love, Chi-yu’s whole body burned hot.

For the first time, he was the one to take the lead.

His “seduction” wasn’t much—just: Since you teleported, I’ll give you some Guiding.

Hearing “let’s go inside and I’ll do it,” Tae-oh assumed he meant saliva-contact Guiding.

But when he thought about the drunk idiots likely occupying their room, he steered them into the hotel next door instead of their original lodging.

Luckily, there were plenty of rooms. One had a view almost identical to the one he’d reserved earlier on purpose, so they picked that.

But the moment they stepped inside, Chi-yu wrapped his arms around Tae-oh’s neck and pulled him in, leaving no chance to admire the view.

Caught off guard, Tae-oh’s eyes widened, but then he hugged him tightly and kissed him back with joy.

Their lips alternated between Guiding and kissing, between duty and desire.

A kiss disguised as Guiding stretched endlessly through the night.

And when at last their kisses left them satisfied, becoming one was as natural as breathing.
