Newlyweds – Chapter 13.1

“Ugh….”

A wave of nausea hit Seong-hyeon, and his phone slipped from his hand. His vision cleared, as if he had finally taken off sunglasses he’d been wearing all along. Like someone who hadn’t realized they were wearing sunglasses, unaware that the world looked different from its true light.

Seong-hyeon looked around in bewilderment.

Then, he saw his reflection in a large mirror.

“No, no, this can’t be….”

His body and face, now so different from his memories, looked obscene and lewd even to himself. His face flushed with embarrassment. Seong-hyeon cursed under his breath again. Perhaps it would have been better if he hadn’t remembered anything, like the last time when he had only vaguely regained consciousness.

But miserably, disgustingly, the current Yoon Seong-hyeon remembered everything. From the day he reunited with that bastard, to the moment he enjoyed being penetrated, moaning in pleasure. Calling him “honey” and “darling,” fawning over him, and being obsessed with his cock. And the shameful marks left on his body by him….

Seong-hyeon’s trembling fingers traced his lower abdomen. As his fingertips touched the wide tattoo, a held-back breath escaped his lips.

“Ah, ah….”

It wasn’t just the familiar, unsatisfying pleasure that made him feel this way. The unfamiliar sensation under his fingertips gave him a harsh realization—this filthy, changed body was truly his.

“No, no, this isn’t me.”

Denying it, Seong-hyeon shook his head vigorously. Then, his eyes fell on the pile of shopping bags Jin-woo had left behind.

“Ah.”

In that moment, life returned to Seong-hyeon’s lifeless eyes.

“That!”

Seong-hyeon had already flipped through a yearbook once to find that bastard’s name. But it had been erased with a marker, making it unreadable. Even as his mind was clouded, accepting everything that bastard did, Seong-hyeon instinctively knew he couldn’t give up.

So,

“Yearbook!”

He had asked Jin-woo to bring him other friends’ yearbooks. Unlike his own, those would surely have that bastard’s name written in them.

“If I can just remember his name, he promised to undo everything..!”

Despite being the one who did this to him, the man’s promise was now Seong-hyeon’s only hope.

“I just need to find it, just need to find it.”

Biting his trembling lips, Seong-hyeon tried to calm his rapid breathing. There were quite a few yearbooks, brought randomly as he had requested. Any of them, any one of these.

Seong-hyeon desperately grabbed the top yearbook. His trembling fingers struggled to turn the pages, revealing his anxiety. One page, two pages, three, four….

Finally reaching the desired page, Seong-hyeon’s face lit up briefly before darkening with despair.

“Why……?”

Why was the name erased here too? Seong-hyeon’s lips quivered. Why was it all blackened out, unreadable….

At that moment,

“Honey, are you ready yet?”

The familiar voice from outside the door made Seong-hyeon’s body jolt, dropping the heavy yearbook to the floor with a loud thud. He flinched again at the sound.

“Seong-hyeon? What was that noise? Did you drop something?”

The man called his name again, puzzled by the lack of response. Instead of answering, Seong-hyeon hurriedly grabbed another yearbook.

I have to find it, quickly. It’s not too late, not yet.

His trembling hands flipped through the pages urgently. One page, two pages, three…. All blackened out.

“Damn it!”

He threw the yearbook down. It hit the floor with a heavy thud and tumbled. Seong-hyeon quickly picked up another yearbook. Swiftly turning the pages, his fingers started to get small cuts, but he didn’t notice the sting. Finally, he found the page, but the name was blackened out again, darkening his vision momentarily.

“This fucking…. Why……!”

Who would do this to a yearbook? Was it that bastard? Did he anticipate Seong-hyeon looking through other yearbooks and erase his name from all of them?

“Fucking hell……”

Just as Seong-hyeon was about to throw the yearbook,

“Seong-hyeon.”

The man’s voice, too close, made Seong-hyeon’s heart drop. He slowly looked up, sensing the shadow over him. The man stood there, smiling softly with his head slightly tilted.

“Were you looking at the yearbook?”

The man’s gentle demeanor sent chills down Seong-hyeon’s spine. Shit, insane…… Pale and frozen, Seong-hyeon’s lips trembled, but no words came out. The man, gazing at his lips, whispered,

“Seong-hyeon, our ceremony is about to start.”

Ceremony. Wedding. The man’s words jolted Seong-hyeon back to reality.

“Get away from me, you crazy bastard!”

Seong-hyeon threw the yearbook at the man. It hit him with a thud, but the man’s expression remained unchanged, as if he found it endearing. He slowly bent down to pick up the yearbook.

“It was you, wasn’t it? You erased all the names!” Seong-hyeon accused.

The man flipped through the pages casually, finding the section where his face and name were blacked out. He smiled.

“……What?”

“You did it, Seong-hyeon. You erased them.”

Seong-hyeon’s eyes widened in disbelief. The man pointed to his blacked-out name, smiling shyly.

“You didn’t want others to remember my name, right? I understand that feeling. So, I was happy, Seong-hyeon. Happy that you wanted to possess me so much.”

It was insane. Fear instinctively rose within Seong-hyeon, and he backed away. His heel hit something—another yearbook he hadn’t checked yet. He dropped to the floor, grabbing it desperately.

“There has to be something, anything, that isn’t erased……! I have to find it……!”

Seong-hyeon frantically opened the yearbook, only to be met with more despair. He grabbed another, and another, each time finding the names blacked out. The man watched him with an affectionate gaze.

“Seong-hyeon.”

The man reached out to lift Seong-hyeon, but at that moment,

“ㅁㅁㅁ!”

Seong-hyeon shouted a name. The man froze, his movements halting like a broken doll. His gaze slowly shifted to the yearbook in Seong-hyeon’s hands, where a name remained untouched by the black marker.

“Your name…… It’s ㅁㅁㅁ, right?”

Despite his trembling, Seong-hyeon’s voice was filled with conviction.

“Answer me! ㅁㅁㅁ!”

The man remained silent, his expression unreadable. Seong-hyeon laughed bitterly.

“You bastard. I won. I found your name.”

The man’s dark, beastly eyes gleamed. Seong-hyeon swallowed hard, feeling as if he was being strangled. Was this bastard refusing to admit defeat, even now?

“Keep your promise.”

There was no way he could live like this, subjected to such horrors. He had to make this bastard keep his promise.

“Undo everything you did to me. Make it all go back to normal.”

Seong-hyeon’s fingers trembled as he clutched the yearbook.

“ㅁㅁㅁ”

He repeated the man’s name, emphasizing that he truly knew it, urging him to keep his promise.

“…”

Each time Seong-hyeon called his name, the man’s eyes flickered. His beastly, gleaming eyes held an incongruous light, like a young boy thrilled to hear his crush say his name.

Shit. What the hell is he looking at me like that for? Feeling uneasy, Seong-hyeon turned his head to avoid the man’s gaze. He felt the man slowly leaning closer. Bracing for whatever might come, Seong-hyeon flinched as he heard,

“……Alright, Seong-hyeon.”

The long-awaited words finally came.

“Let’s make it all go back to normal.”

Seong-hyeon’s head jerked up. He was about to ask, “Really?” with a bright smile, but hesitated. The man, who had agreed to let him go, was smiling. In fact, he looked overjoyed.
