My Home As a Filming Location! 91

#091

“Is it tasty?”

“Yes.”

Lee Yeonwoo answered while scooping up a handful of corn kernels to eat. Because of his lip injury, he couldn’t gnaw on the corn, so Kang Dojun had been sitting beside him, carefully separating the kernels by hand.

If it was going to be like this, they should have just bought canned corn.

That’s what anyone watching this scene would have said to the two of them.

The location was rural, and without Yeonwoo lifting a finger, Kang Dojun did everything for him. Being taken care of like this made him feel slightly like he’d come to recuperate.

Lee Yeonwoo spooned a mouthful of loose kernels into Kang Dojun’s mouth as he worked hard separating the corn, then said:

“Uncle Cheolsu is going on a trip.”

“Really? When?”

“The day after tomorrow, I think. So I’m going to look after the bees for a while. That’s okay, right?”

The meaning was: since I’m staying in the countryside, you should stay in the countryside with me too.

Kang Dojun gladly nodded. Yeonwoo’s bold requests always made him happy. He didn’t have any schedules for a while anyway, and it would be wonderful to spend time here leisurely, just the two of them.

Woof! Woof woof!

Just then, the sound of a dog barking from the yard drew Kang Dojun’s gaze toward the front door.

“Ah, it must have come looking for someone to play with.”

Yeonwoo grumbled as he sluggishly got up and opened the front door.

Kkamie’s puppy Spotty perked up its ears. It seemed confused to see Yeonwoo come out instead of Cheolsu, whom it always saw.

Yeonwoo roughly rubbed Spotty’s face with his coarse hands.

“Hey, I’m the homeowner. Did you forget already?”

It seemed like because he’d been away from the house briefly, the dog had started recognizing Cheolsu as the homeowner. The dog just stuck out its tongue trying to lick his hand that was close to its face, whimpering.

Is it hungry?

“Want food?”

Woof!

As if it understood the word “food” like a ghost, the dog barked loudly at Yeonwoo’s words.

“Sit.”

At his command, Spotty plopped its rear on the ground and sat down with a thud. Its tail was wagging vigorously.

“Wait.”

Whining and whimpering, Spotty brought its nose to Yeonwoo’s feet. It looked like behavior asking for food quickly.

Yeonwoo smiled with satisfaction and looked back at Kang Dojun standing behind him.

“Hyung, did you see? It listens to me.”

“…Yeah.”

There was a hint of reluctance in his answer. Even if it was because of food, it did listen after all.

Yeonwoo told Spotty to wait just 10 seconds and dashed into the house to get food, then quickly came back out with dog food in a food bowl.

Spotty, who had been sitting, suddenly stood up.

“Tsk, sit.”

Woof!

Gone was the frighteningly obedient behavior from before, and unable to easily calm its excitement in front of food, Spotty ran toward Yeonwoo.

Kang Dojun stood in front of Spotty and blocked its path with his legs. After interfering with Spotty’s advance a few times, he spoke in a short commanding tone:

“Sit.”

At Kang Dojun’s words, Spotty immediately sat down as if it had never been excited. Yeonwoo felt slightly hurt that Spotty listened better to Kang Dojun, a complete stranger, than to his own words. And he was curious about what he’d done to make Spotty, who used to rush at food like crazy, become so docile. Yeonwoo looked at Kang Dojun with wide, sparkling eyes.

“What did you just do?”

“Just…”

Sometimes Park Daeho would ramble in front of Kang Dojun about what he’d studied to train his companion dog. When puppies do this, do that – he’d apply what videos taught him to Louis, and it really worked. That sort of thing.

It was content he didn’t want to know about and thought he’d never need, but somehow he ended up using it here.

“Hyung, you’re good at taking care of dogs too.”

Kang Dojun looked at Yeonwoo as he offered the food bowl to Spotty.

“I guess so.”

Maybe it was natural talent.

***

That day they caught wasps, cleaned the house, measured the room dimensions, then looked up and purchased furniture online.

It was a simple, peaceful daily life.

In the evening, they watched variety shows. It was exactly that observational variety show they’d filmed.

Yeonwoo couldn’t contain the laughter that escaped at Kang Dojun’s appearance on screen. His upturned mouth corners looked slightly stiff.

“Hyung, were you nervous then?”

“…I was bored.”

Yeonwoo scrutinized the MCs with eagle eyes. One was a famous MC anyone would recognize, the others were faces he’d seen on variety shows at least once. And a rookie actress who was apparently a regular cast member recently.

Yeonwoo pointed at the TV with his finger.

“Is that the person?”

“What?”

“The one who borrowed your jacket.”

“Yeah.”

Yeonwoo frowned and stared directly at that actress. As the screen kept changing and the camera showed other people, he picked up his phone and searched for the actress’s name.

She had inner double eyelids and a modest, pretty face. …Is this hyung’s type? I’m not sure. Yeonwoo turned his gaze back to the TV.

A scene came on showing Kang Dojun lying in bed, then drawing the curtains and walking awkwardly toward the bathroom.

‘Since I know all the content here…’

Rural Conquest at least had more dynamic editing and subtitles that made it enjoyable to watch, but this one showed daily life flowing quietly, so it wasn’t without boring aspects.

As he lay with his head on Kang Dojun’s knee watching the broadcast, his eyes gradually began to close. The noisy TV sound and the whirring of the fan blades could be heard.

It was an old fan, so even after running for just a few hours, the motor in the back would definitely be hot to the touch.

Ah, I should buy another fan too. But it’ll be fall and winter soon, so should I buy it next year? Since I can just use the air conditioner… Yeonwoo’s eyes began to slowly close.

When Yeonwoo opened his eyes, the observational variety show was still airing on TV. It seemed like he hadn’t slept for long. On TV, Kang Dojun and himself were fiddling with clay trays.

“Sleep more.”

Noticing that Yeonwoo had woken up, Kang Dojun covered his eyes. Then he placed his hand on his clearly exposed forehead.

“Are you hot?”

“Not really. Why?”

“…I think you have a fever.”

Yeonwoo also raised his hand to touch his own forehead. He couldn’t really tell.

“Do I have a fever?”

“Yeah, do you have fever reducers at home?”

“There should be some at Grandma Kyeong-i’s place.”

Kang Dojun’s body paused as he was getting up to look for medicine. Why was it that Yeonwoo’s house never had anything, while Grandma Kyeong-i’s place had everything?

“I’ll go get some. Rest here.”

“Let’s go together.”

Kang Dojun pressed down on Yeonwoo’s forehead, making him lie flat. Normally he would have let him follow along, but since he seemed to have a fever, he wanted him to just lie down and rest.

“I’ll be right back.”

At his refusal, Yeonwoo nodded expressionlessly. His face looked a bit sulky. Kang Dojun deliberately looked away from that face, turned around, and went outside.

Knock knock.

He knocked on the door, but there was no sound from inside. Kang Dojun checked the clock on his phone in his pocket. She should be home at this hour.

When he knocked again, after a long while the door burst open.

“Hello.”

“What is it?”

“Yeonwoo seems to have a fever, so I was wondering if I could get some medicine.”

“Come in.”

When he bowed his head and entered, he could see the living room scene.

She seemed to have put all the side dishes into a large bowl to make bibimbap, as there was a spoon placed on top of the large bowl on the living room table. The observational variety show that Yeonwoo had been spreading rumors about all around the neighborhood was playing on TV.

“Why don’t you watch and eat with us?”

“Oh, my son and pretty granddaughter are supposed to come soon. I was waiting for them.”

“Your son?”

The one who installed the CCTV and left… When they caught the culprit who graffitied on the wall, thanks to that CCTV they had sufficient evidence and could proceed with the lawsuit much more smoothly.

The filial devotion of a son who worried about his mother because many outsiders were visiting also saved Yeonwoo. I should bring a gift next time I come.

Kang Dojun rubbed his chin.

…Should I install CCTV at Yeonwoo’s house too?

And if I install one at the apiary, I could check on the bees’ condition from afar – the more he thought about it, the better the plan seemed. I should look into it when I go back to Seoul.

“Where does it hurt?”

“He’s not exactly in pain, but he seems to have a fever. I want to give him something preventively.”

“What’s his temperature?”

“…Higher than mine.”

Kang Dojun answered while avoiding eye contact. Come to think of it, he’d thought it felt hot without even taking his temperature. But it definitely felt hot…

At his obvious behavior, Grandma Kyeong-i clicked her tongue out of habit. He’s been hanging around with a fool and became a fool himself. She went into her room and came back with a thermometer and fever reducer, handing them to Kang Dojun.

“Take his temperature first and then give it to him!”

“Yes. Thank you.”

“Yeonwoo, medicine…”

When he returned home, Yeonwoo had fallen asleep again. Is he really sick somewhere?

Kang Dojun turned on the thermometer and tucked it under Yeonwoo’s arm to take his temperature.

Beep.

After waiting briefly, he checked the numbers on the thermometer after the temperature measurement was complete.

“37.6…”

That’s a bit high. Is it a cold? I should take him to the hospital first thing in the morning. Kang Dojun was satisfied with his choice to make porridge in the morning and headed to the kitchen to get water for swallowing the medicine.

“Hyuung.”

“Yeah. Coming now.”

Kang Dojun brought lukewarm water and stood at attention in front of Yeonwoo. Yeonwoo gulped down the water and took the medicine Kang Dojun had brought.

“Anywhere else hurt?”

“My throat feels scratchy.”

“Should I make honey water?”

“Yes.”

Yeonwoo yawned big and watched Kang Dojun’s back as he headed to the kitchen to make honey water. When he placed his hand on his forehead, it did seem warm. Am I sick?

He couldn’t remember the last time he wasn’t alone when sick. Actually, he had such a healthy constitution that he rarely got sick.

On TV, the variety show had already ended and commercials were playing. He’d been too busy sleeping and missed watching it all.

‘I’ll have to catch up later.’

Meanwhile, Kang Dojun came back with honey water and handed it to him.

“Drink this and go to sleep first.”

“What about you, hyung?”

“I’m going to buy medicine.”

Although he’d received fever reducer from Grandma Kyeong-i, he couldn’t use it as if it were his own. Since his throat hurt too, it wouldn’t be bad to buy comprehensive cold medicine while he was at it.

“Your throat is scratchy – anywhere else?”

Yeonwoo chewed his lips and spoke sluggishly.

“I have phlegm, and I think I have a runny nose, and a slight headache too. My body feels heavy.”

Kang Dojun tugged at Yeonwoo’s nose bridge. He could tell at a glance that he was listing symptoms in a row because he wanted attention.

“You should only mention where it actually hurts.”

“…My throat.”

After patting the head of Yeonwoo who answered honestly, saying he was cute, Kang Dojun stood up.

“Okay. I’ll go and come back, so sleep.”

“Yes.”

After going into the room, spreading out the blanket, and laying Yeonwoo down, Kang Dojun grabbed his car keys.

“Call me if anything happens. Even if you’re not sleepy, at least lie down. I’ll be right back.”

Yeonwoo lay down obediently. It felt like his fever was rising even more from the joy of receiving his care. A reddish flush bloomed on his white cheeks.

“Come back quickly.”

“Yeah.”

Kang Dojun hurried outside and got in his car.

‘It does seem like a cold.’

He needed to quickly buy medicine before the symptoms got worse. Just as he started the engine and was about to turn on his phone to search for nearby pharmacies, Park Daeho called.

“Yeah.”

What Park Daeho said as soon as the call connected was enough to make Kang Dojun angry.

– You need to come to Seoul.

[Did anyone watch today’s Observer’s Point of View? Ureong Dojun X Puppy is love]

Watching it makes me fucking happy. There’s even a part in the middle where Grace and Shin Gihyeon briefly talk on the phone… oh my god… are you guys really doing this…..ã… ã…  Can’t you include me in Inside Us too? Fucking crazy, they got rejected from Arcade so now they want to do Inside Us… Shin Gihyeon is so guilty. I seriously want to find out Shin Gihyeon’s number and call him right now to say let’s do Inside Us together, but I’m restraining myself – I’m quite gentle.

-You don’t even know his number though

â””True that

-For real, the Kang Dojun X Lee Yeonwoo combo never fails. When I turned off the TV, there was some blobfish on the black screen.

â””What’s a blobfish?

â””It’s a deep-sea fish that looks fucking ugly

â””That’s only because of water pressure differenceã… ã…

â””So the original commenter looks like that even without water pressure difference…(covers mouth)

â””Gotcha. Where do you live?

[Lee Yeonwoo grows Venus flytrapsã… ã… ã… ã… ã… ã… Is this real?]

Haah, finally found one thing in common. If I keep copying him like this bit by bit, someday I’ll be able to meet Ureong Dojun too. I’ll endure until that day… Endurance leads to victory!!!!!!

-Did endurance really always lead to victory?

â””What does that mean?

â””….^^ (rest omitted)

-For real, almost getting bitten by a Venus flytrap and getting scared and stepping back looked just like me ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

â””Please stop looking for similarities, you’re not like that

â””?? Why is this person suddenly losing it? So funny ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

[I hope Ureong Clumsy Hands goes to a pet grooming salon]

I’ll write this seriously in Gungseo font. Please send the puppy to a pet salon. This isn’t a request, it’s an order. If you don’t listen to this order, within 3 days a ghost will appear in your dreams and within 7 days you’ll suffer from insomnia… I’ll skip the detailed explanation! So… what was it… a salon please

-What is this ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ A chain letter?

-Lee Yeonwoo said he doesn’t want to go to a salon

â””How would you know?

â””Me? Kang Dojun.

â””Ah, so annoying

[Is it real that Soft Kongddeok can’t sleep alone… Thank you production team ã… ã… ]

This is truly a blessing. Lord, I’m leaving my 22 years of life without regret. Going out to the terrace alone in the middle of the night then getting scared by himself and going into his owner’s room is otherworldly cute;;; This is insane, it needs to become a gif

-Like a dog that wanders around the house when the owner is sleeping, then when it gets tired, it sticks to the owner’s bed ㅜㅜㅜㅜ

â””For real, there’s no other electric fly swatter like that ã… ã… ã…

â””?? Electric fly swatter?

â””Nah nah, human wasp swatter

â””What are you talking about;;;;;;;

[Lee Yeonwoo’s screen time being less than 10 minutes is fucking unfair;; If the production team has any conscience, release more. How stingy, watching it alone. This is a great national loss and constitutes a crime. Therefore, release Lee Yeonwoo’s appearance time. Edited version? I don’t even want that. Give us the unedited version]

Fucking agree

-Where did the PD’s conscience go, wanting to keep this cute thing to themselves? Not a chance

-Thank you. I’ve been wanting to hack broadcasting stations lately, and after seeing this I’ve decided to hack them. I was hesitant because it’s a crime, but I realized that not releasing Lee Yeonwoo videos is a bigger crime. I’ll release the unedited version soon.

â””? Is this real?

â””Obviously a joke ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Is this real ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ They’re like this ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

â””The person calling this person a serious bug over this is the serious bug

â””The person saying that the person calling this person a serious bug over this is the serious bug is the serious bug

â””The person saying that the person saying that the person calling this person a serious bug over this is the serious bug is the serious bug is the serious bug

â””The person saying that the person saying that the person saying that the person calling this person a serious bug over this is the serious bug is the serious bug is the serious bug is the serious bug

[What’s that jacket behind Kang Dojun?]

Isn’t that jacket hanging behind Kang Dojun’s chair the one Han Huiyeon wore on Star Show? Han Huiyeon was wearing it… is there something between them? Some kind of romantic tension only I don’t know about?

-Stop talking shit

â””No no, this is credible

â””Credible is bullshit. Kang Dojun has never had dating rumors

â””Guess today’s the day

-It’s not worn, it’s covering his knees. Han Huiyeon was wearing a skirt. He just lent it to her briefly

â””Is that really the truth?

â””Being kind? Agreed, but he lent it because he’s interested

â””Stop fortune-telling~

-I support Kang Dojun’s dating. So the target is Lee Yeonwoo, right?

â””I have nothing to say to that
