“Then what… if Yeonwoo-ssi becomes the manager, you’d have to do the driving, and you’d have to arrange the schedule too…”

Park Daeho spewed out random words while imagining a future where Yeonwoo became the manager, in a whatever-happens-happens manner.

“Yeonwoo has good work sense. He’ll learn quickly, right?”

“I am going to learn to drive… but since you have work you’re already doing, you should continue being the manager.”

“I won’t do it! I won’t. I won’t take it!”

Park Daeho waved his hands dismissively at the feeling of being offered the manager position like giving candy to a crying child.

“Just go down to the countryside together and live happily.”

Who am I to worry about in my situation, sheesh.

He was getting heated up inside from worrying about them. He tried to calm himself by gulping down his drink in one go.

He thought Yeonwoo would be easily swayed, but when it came to Kang Dojun, he was someone you couldn’t communicate with, and in the end Park Daeho decided to compromise to some extent.

It’s not like he was completely quitting acting.

“So what are you going to do when you go down to the countryside this time?”

“I’m just following Yeonwoo.”

Kang Dojun shrugged and waited for Yeonwoo’s answer.

“Clean the house and bring in some furniture…”

“Furniture? Is there anything you need?”

“The house just seems too empty.”

Since Kang Dojun would be coming to the countryside frequently now, even if he didn’t decorate the house, there was a need to fill it up to make it seem like a place where people could live.

“Yeonwoo-ssi’s house was quite empty.”

Park Daeho agreed, recalling the interior of his house he’d seen during “Rural Conquest.”

There were absolutely no sofas, beds, or things that would make life more comfortable – only furniture that was really just for survival. Yet the computer was the latest model… Though he lived alone, he was too focused on a life of just getting by.

“When are you going furniture shopping?”

“Let’s go shopping together.”

At their words, Yeonwoo answered while drinking Kang Dojun’s coffee placed in front of him.

“I’m going to measure the length with a measuring tape at home and buy online.”

“You’re not going to look in person?”

Hearing Kang Dojun’s question, he chewed on the straw. Since it was furniture that Kang Dojun would use, maybe it would be better to go look together.

Sorry, but no matter what, he still didn’t like crowded places.

After finishing his thoughts, Yeonwoo answered:

“Yes, I can just order online. Delivery is good these days.”

Kang Dojun agreed with his words and slowly prepared to get up. It was almost lunchtime when people would crowd in, and it seemed like they had roughly finished what they had to say.

“Let’s get up. It’s almost lunchtime.”

“Yes. Manager-nim, would you like to come eat lunch together too?”

Yeonwoo looked at Park Daeho in front of him.

“No?”

Park Daeho shook his head in shock. What would I do squeezing in between you two? You two go together.

Yeonwoo, who had sucked up the remaining coffee in one gulp, stood up from his seat.

“Shall we get up then?”

They returned their drinks and came outside. The muggy air made their skin feel sticky. Kang Dojun pressed car keys into Yeonwoo’s hand.

“Go to the car first and rest. It’s hot, so turn on the air conditioning.”

“What about hyung?”

I want to go together… Yeonwoo’s lips stiffened slightly. Kang Dojun immediately noticed Yeonwoo’s state, which wasn’t even clearly visible because of his mask, and patted his head.

“I have something to talk about with Daeho. I’ll be right there.”

Yeonwoo said goodbye to Park Daeho with a sullen expression, telling him to get home safely, and headed to the car.

He should call Cheolsu to ask if there’s a measuring tape at home. Anyway, he’d probably be holed up at his house with his best friend Choi Seongwoo. It was obvious without even looking.

When Park Daeho was left alone with Kang Dojun, he glanced at him sideways out of guilt for secretly calling Yeonwoo to come to the cafe.

“What… what do you want to say to me. Text me.”

“Give me your phone.”

Kang Dojun extended his long, slender hand. Park Daeho hid his phone behind his back.

“Why again.”

“Hurry up.”

Even while watching his behavior completely, Kang Dojun didn’t withdraw his extended hand. His expression didn’t change at all, but somehow there was a feeling of urgency.

When Park Daeho had no choice but to reluctantly hand over his phone, he tapped the screen several times. But he had to stop his hand before long.

Park Daeho chuckled inwardly at that sight.

Changing the password last time had been a stroke of genius. Praising his clever self, he called out to Kang Dojun to get his phone back.

“That’s enough now, right? Give me my phone.”

Kang Dojun ignored his words and pondered before moving his fingers again. Soon he saw through Park Daeho’s petty trick and swallowed his laughter.

“It’s auntie’s birthday.”

After continuously using his own birthday, the password he’d bothered to change was his mom’s birthday.

“You even know our mom’s birthday?”

“Why wouldn’t I know?”

They’d known each other for decades, so it would be stranger not to know. On the other hand, Park Daeho didn’t know his parents’ birthdays, so he could only grumble.

Meanwhile, Kang Dojun seemed to have finished his business and handed over the phone, saying:

“Here. Don’t contact him anymore. You didn’t memorize Yeonwoo’s number, did you?”

“Why would I memorize it?”

“Anyway. Contact me from now on. If you contact Yeonwoo again next time, I’ll really block you then.”

Park Daeho looked through his phone’s contact list and let out a deep sigh.

“Is Yeonwoo-ssi really okay with you doing this? You’re not just pretending it’s okay?”

Kang Dojun pressed his mask down to his nose, smiled prettily with his eyes, and turned his back.

“Yeonwoo is waiting. I’ll go first.”

There was no response. Park Daeho was flabbergasted by his attitude that it was so obvious he didn’t even feel it was worth responding to.

It was none other than Yeonwoo who ignited Kang Dojun’s somewhat obsessive attachment.

Park Daeho, who had thought it would be easy to just persuade Yeonwoo, completely withdrew that thought. He had dismissed him as easily swayed, but that was only limited to Kang Dojun.

They were indiscriminately permissive only toward each other.

“Ah.”

Yeonwoo unwrapped a chocolate wrapper and held it to Kang Dojun’s lips. Kang Dojun, who had gotten into the driver’s seat, paused at his action.

‘What kind of cute thing is this now.’

“You’re supposed to eat something sweet after something bitter. There’s even a saying about how bitterness comes before sweetness.”

He hadn’t forgotten to take care of Kang Dojun, who had drunk americano that was practically espresso level.

Kang Dojun stared at him and then gobbled up Yeonwoo’s fingers holding the chocolate as well. He sucked on the sweet chocolate residue that had melted on his fingers from the heat.

Yeonwoo didn’t forcibly pull his hand away and waited quietly until he was satisfied. Eventually his hand came out and he watched without missing the scene of his red tongue licking his own fingers.

When this continued into biting his hand with no sign of ending, Yeonwoo opened his mouth as if to say something while doing it:

“Where should we eat lunch?”

“Should we get takeout?”

“Sounds good.”

When his hand was finally free, he fastened his seatbelt and thought of the list of furniture he needed to buy.

He definitely had to buy a bed, and since there would be more clothes, it would be good to have a wardrobe too, and when they went down to the countryside this time, he had to connect the TV so it could get more diverse channels.

Yeonwoo had the goal of watching all the movies and dramas that Kang Dojun appeared in. Then for a sofa… let’s just look at that for now.

‘Will I have enough money…’

To calculate how much would be left in his balance, Yeonwoo checked his phone’s banking app. Kang Dojun, who didn’t miss watching that, told him to relax:

“I’ll buy it for you.”

“Hyung, if you keep buying everything for me like that, I’ll get spoiled.”

He was worried he might start taking it for granted when he bought things for him, but Kang Dojun only responded firmly:

“I want you to get spoiled.”

I wish you’d develop some bad habits. The psychology was that he’d do everything others wouldn’t do, so he wanted him to only make demands of him. Moreover, he roughly guessed the reason why Yeonwoo suddenly wanted to bring in furniture.

“You’re buying it because of me, aren’t you?”

Yeonwoo, hit right on target, rubbed his neck and answered:

“That’s true… but I want to buy it for you.”

“It’s fine.”

Yeonwoo would probably be the same as him. The heart that was anxious about not being able to give more was admirable, but it was right for the person with money to spend it. It would be more comfortable for Kang Dojun if Yeonwoo used that money to make a savings deposit later.

“Right, do you know where the accelerator is now?”

He stepped on the accelerator and spoke playfully. Since Yeonwoo had agreed to learn driving when they went to the countryside, it wouldn’t hurt to ask to check.

“Yes. On the right. I got insurance too.”

Yeonwoo spoke clearly, not knowing he was joking around.

‘Hmm, is he a little nervous?’

While waiting for the light, he looked at Yeonwoo and massaged the back of his neck.

“It’s okay. Even if we get in an accident, I’ll be right there with you.”

At the ominous words he heard before even starting, Yeonwoo pouted his lips.

“What accident. I don’t cause those kinds of things.”

Kang Dojun chuckled and offered an apology:

“Sorry. I was wrong.”

“I’m a best driver.”

“We’ll know when the day comes.”

Yeonwoo quietly picked up his phone and studied traffic signs.
