I’m Not That Obsessive – Chapter 147

Chapter 147

It’s already been two weeks since we moved to New York. Although I haven’t had a chance to properly explore New York due to busy film shooting, I didn’t feel any regret thanks to having a home with a view overlooking the city.

What’s amazing about Mitchell’s house is that you can see all of New York from the apartment. There’s a floor-to-ceiling window in the living room facing Central Park, and every room has windows that allow you to view the surrounding scenery without missing anything.

At first, I was thrilled to be able to look down at Central Park and the city from home, but now I wanted to block off an entire side.

I came down the second-floor stairs after completely closing the blinds on a specific window. After confirming Mitchell wasn’t in the living room on the first floor, I headed to the study. Finding Mitchell sitting at the desk looking over the script, I approached him.

“Mitchell, I deliberately lowered the blinds on the left side of the second-floor stairs. They’re up again.”

That window offered a view of Jeff’s Saint Hotel. Although it looked like a tiny dot smaller than a fingernail due to the distance, I didn’t even want to see that much. Every time I passed by, I felt like spitting in its direction.

I had anticipated that the filming location would be New York since Nathan’s job was a New York State prosecutor. It’s also nice to experience a new city from a new home by moving to New York entirely.

However, no matter how generous I try to be, I can’t tolerate the fact that we’re closer to where Jeff is. Just hearing the words “Saint Hotel” makes my blood boil. I didn’t even want to mention that unsettling person.

“Can’t we keep it down?”

I made a modest request, thinking it would be best to keep it out of sight entirely. Although it would be inconvenient to have part of the view blocked, I could endure that much. It would be a simple matter if Mitchell agreed.

“Jeff is originally from Las Vegas.”

However, Mitchell brought up a completely different topic. But it wasn’t unrelated to our conversation. The perceptive Mitchell seemed to have already noticed why I was fixated on the blinds of that particular window, even though I hadn’t specifically mentioned it.

“…Las Vegas? So what? Is he going back there?”

Since he had already noticed my feelings, I wanted him to understand more, so I responded with a sarcastic tone.

Mitchell just nodded without further explanation.

“Ah, well… I see.”

Since I had decided to leave Jeff’s matters entirely to Mitchell, I didn’t press further. I believed that he would leave New York, though I didn’t know when that would be.

“Have you showered? Shall we head out?”

It’s still early for the morning shoot. Nevertheless, I nodded at Mitchell’s words. As he brushed his bangs aside and slowly walked out, for some reason, I felt like hugging him. Despite feeling annoyed, I ended up seeking Mitchell’s warmth first, ultimately feeling disappointed.

I lifted his t-shirt and kissed his chest. As I nuzzled my face and touched my tongue to his chest, I heard Mitchell’s laughter.

Well, on the way to the dressing room, my pants came off, my underwear got caught around my ankles, and I ended up lying on the marble table having my lower half touched, but…

Logan’s house was near the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. It’s a set that was found, renovated to fit the movie’s setting, and will be the main filming location. The Federal Prosecutor’s Office is not far away, and Mitchell’s and my actual home is less than 30 minutes from there.

The building right next to Logan’s house was rented entirely for the filming team to use as they come and go. It was set up so that staff could eat or rest in the waiting rooms and preparation rooms.

“Geon-woo, you’re doing well.”

We were spending time in the waiting room during a brief pause in filming. Director McKenney said a word as he passed by me. The person who seemed almost dead before filming began was now full of energy. Despite hours of filming, there was no sign of fatigue.

The director disappeared outside, asking for a little more patience as the shooting preparations would soon be complete. As I was watching his back as he entered Logan’s house, the person I had been waiting for appeared.

“That guy again…”

Mitchell, who had changed clothes in the wardrobe room on one side, looked around. After confirming where I was, he slowly walked towards me, holding an unopened bottle of water.

“Is your costume always like that?”

I turned towards Mitchell. I pulled up a nearby chair for him, and Mitchell sat down. Our gazes were directed at each other, but the chairs were placed at a slight angle. It was an appropriate distance, neither too close nor too far, so that it wouldn’t look strange to others.

“Like what?”

Mitchell looked down at his own costume. He was wearing brown cargo pants and a blue vest, with nothing underneath the vest. Only one button was barely fastened.

The outfit, which clearly showed his bare chest and arm muscles, was appropriate for highlighting Logan’s natural masculinity, but it wasn’t to my liking as someone who wanted to protect Mitchell.

I thought the blonde hair, intentionally disheveled to fit the role, suited Mitchell well. On the other hand, I wanted to properly button up his vest. If not that, then maybe the hoodie hanging on the wall as a prop would be fine to put on him.

“Your body is always exposed.”

“Ah.”

Mitchell tugged at his vest once, then touched his own chest. He pressed firmly on the area where I had kissed this morning. His gaze immediately scanned my crotch.

Damn him.

Mitchell then opened the water bottle and didn’t take his eyes off me even while drinking. Under his intense gaze, I felt like I was being stripped naked.

I quickly lowered my head due to the many people around. I brought over an innocent square bag and placed it on my legs. The bag had saved me several times before.

I was suffering because of the lewd thoughts that had started at some point. I tried to focus only on acting as much as possible, but Mitchell wouldn’t leave me alone.

Although Mitchell was unlikely to notice my fantasies, he occasionally flustered me with suggestive glances. That impressive man kept tempting me and putting me in a tight spot, but it wasn’t really Mitchell’s fault. The cause was ultimately me and my lewd thoughts.

“Geon-woo.”

Mitchell pulled his upper body forward and beckoned to me. As I leaned forward at his signal to come closer, he whispered in my ear.

“So, do you want to touch?”

At that moment, a staff member passing behind Mitchell glanced at us. Even other groups of staff in the distance peeked at us.

I can’t read other people’s minds. But at this moment, I was certain their ears had perked up. We were the only two actors using the waiting room right now, and one of us was Mitchell. The staff members were showing curiosity about Mitchell’s every action.

“Ah… well.”

Mitchell, seemingly unsatisfied with my answer, raised and lowered his eyebrows. He glanced around briefly, then tilted his head to the side and asked me.

“Is that all?”

Even though we hadn’t said anything special, people’s gazes were fixed on us. If they had been sneaking glances until just now, this time they were openly staring at us.

Only I, who knew the real content, was fidgeting. I gave an ambiguous answer, worried that someone might have heard Mitchell asking if I wanted to touch.

“Well, I guess so.”

Mitchell clicked his tongue audibly and leaned back in his chair. He distanced himself from me and even turned his gaze away as if uninterested.

That. That behavior.

Could it be… he’s sulking?

Even as I broke out in a cold sweat, I found Mitchell’s reaction intriguing. Looking at his disgruntled expression, I wanted to kiss his cheek.

I’m crazy. He looked cute.

To think that Mitchell Cronenwirth, a handsome man with sharp features, a large build, and a fastidious personality, could look cute.

They say when you start finding the other person cute, the game is over.

I, who should be the cute one, am just handsome, while the guy who should just be there is being all cute and causing a fuss.

As I chuckled and my shoulders shook, Mitchell asked with a suspicious look.

“Why are you laughing?”

As I leaned my upper body towards Mitchell, he, who had been hesitant for a moment, also came closer to me.

I didn’t care about the people around and just acted as I pleased. Because Mitchell was cute.

“I really… like you.”

Unable to say he was cute, I whispered something similar. It was difficult to utter a word that didn’t suit Mitchell’s image at all.

“I like you.”

As I couldn’t control my rising smile, Mitchell followed suit and laughed. He said with a meaningful smile.

“Of course you should.”

Then he lowered his voice and whispered in precise Korean pronunciation.

“Keep liking me, Geon-woo.”
