# Chapter 82
Jeongyun realized that the rules between him and Domin had long been meaningless when he saw their hands clasped together without permission. He had become so accustomed to holding hands with Domin.
‘Is this right?’
He kept wondering. Was it right to terminate the dedicated contract with Domin and go back to how things were before, or should he foolishly fall for him again?
‘He’s a person with severe mood swings. Who knows when he’ll change.’
Considering Domin’s temperament that Jeongyun had observed so far, there was no guarantee that his kind behavior would continue. It might just be a plan to keep a convenient Guiding battery by his side. After all, Jeongyun was weak to kindness.
While pondering, Jeongyun returned to the sofa and drank the coffee Domin had made for him. The sofa was only meant for one person, so Domin had to sit on the floor. Jeongyun tried to stand up, but Domin pressed firmly on his thigh, causing him to sit back down.
Domin rested his head on Jeongyun’s neatly folded knees and asked, “Aren’t you hungry?”
It was well past lunchtime, but strangely, Jeongyun didn’t feel hungry. Just as he was about to answer, Domin stroked his slender stomach.
“What are you doing—”
Startled by the sudden contact, Jeongyun asked, and Domin looked up to meet his eyes with a bright smile.
“I should feed you.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Domin stood up and headed back to the kitchen. Jeongyun hurriedly followed him with his mug that still had some coffee left.
“Is there anything I can help with?”
“No, just sit down.”
“But—”
Domin grabbed Jeongyun’s shoulders and spun him around. Then he gently pushed him out of the kitchen. Despite Domin telling him to go rest, Jeongyun stood there, stomping his feet.
Domin, wearing an apron, opened the refrigerator and looked at the ingredients packed inside. After thinking about what would be good for a light meal, he decisively took out some ingredients.
‘I wish I could help with something.’
Jeongyun wanted to help immediately if there was anything to do, but Domin was cooking without leaving any openings. Before he knew it, Jeongyun was just blankly watching Domin skillfully prepare the food.
“If you’re just going to stand there, come set the table for me?”
“…Oh, yes!”
Delighted to finally have something to do, Jeongyun smiled widely without realizing it and quickly ran to Domin. He neatly placed spoons and forks on the table, and set out the plates of food one by one.
Domin seemed quite pleased with the food he made, as he took out his phone and took pictures. Then he approached Jeongyun, pulled out a chair for him, and said, “Sit here.”
“…Ah, thank you.”
After Jeongyun sat down, Domin went around the table and sat in his own seat across from him. Until now, Jeongyun hadn’t thought about being hungry, but as soon as he saw the prepared food, his stomach began to growl.
“Thank you for the meal.”
“Eat plenty.”
The late lunch Domin had prepared was an omurice. Jeongyun took a bite of the fluffy egg and the rice hiding beneath it, and it melted in his mouth.
“Wow, this is really delicious.”
Jeongyun exclaimed with wide eyes in genuine amazement. Domin, who had been secretly worried about Jeongyun’s reaction, quickly erased his anxiety and shrugged as if it were nothing.
“Eat a lot.”
“Yes, you too, Choi Domin.”
Jeongyun continued eating without much conversation, focused on filling his empty stomach. As he nearly emptied his plate, Jeongyun suddenly realized that this was the first time he was having a meal sitting across from Domin.
‘Well, Choi Domin rarely comes to the headquarters cafeteria.’
Glancing at Domin sitting across from him, Jeongyun took another generous scoop of the remaining omurice. A corner of his heart felt strangely ticklish.
* * *
After finishing the quiet meal, Jeongyun stood up, thinking he should naturally clean up since Domin had prepared the food. However, even this was stopped by Domin.
“Sit down and rest.”
“What? But—”
Domin kicked the hesitant Jeongyun out of the kitchen completely, then cleared the table by himself. Feeling uncomfortable, Jeongyun paced around the kitchen, watching Domin’s back as he began washing the dishes.
After quickly washing the few plates, Domin turned around, shaking his wet hands. As expected, Jeongyun was still standing there, waiting for him.
“I told you to rest, you really don’t listen.”
Though he said that, he wasn’t displeased. Domin strode over and took Jeongyun’s hand. Perhaps because he had just been washing dishes, Domin’s hand was damp and cold.
Domin tried to seat Jeongyun on the sofa again. However, since Domin had prepared the meal and cleaned up afterward, Jeongyun couldn’t bear to be the only one sitting in a comfortable place, so he quietly moved away from the sofa.
“Choi Domin, you sit on the sofa. I can sit on the floor.”
After saying this, Jeongyun immediately plopped down on the floor. Fortunately, the rug on the floor was soft, so it wasn’t painful for his bottom and was quite comfortable. There was also a fireplace right in front.
“I’m fine here.”
Jeongyun looked up at Domin. Domin, who had been making a sullen face, seemed to head toward the sofa, but he only grabbed the blanket on it and sat down next to Jeongyun.
“Then let’s sit together. The floor is comfortable for me too.”
Even though the floor couldn’t possibly be more comfortable than the sofa, Domin shamelessly lied. He spread out the blanket widely to cover Jeongyun’s legs, then subtly leaned against him.
“When are we going back?”
“When I feel like going.”
At this vague answer, Jeongyun quickly thought. He didn’t know how long Domin’s vacation was, but it couldn’t be that long. So if they were to return, it would be tomorrow or the day after, wouldn’t it?
“Just relax without thinking while we’re here. That’s why I came too.”
The original plan was to come here as soon as the vacation started and spend some quiet time, but somehow he ended up coming with Jeongyun.
Well, he had spent more time in the hospital than expected, providing care that wasn’t really nursing. It was a pity that he couldn’t stay here long since his vacation would end the day after tomorrow, but this wasn’t bad either.
“I’m rich.”
“What?”
“Not as much as Yoo Group’s Jung Yoowon, but my parents left me a large inheritance, so I can eat and play for the rest of my life.”
Jeongyun’s eyes darted around, surprised by the sudden boast about money. Domin, who had been leaning against him, sat up straight and asked Jeongyun.
“The villa is quite old, isn’t it?”
The villa by the quiet beach was very beautiful, but it showed clear traces of time. If someone hadn’t been continuously taking care of it, wouldn’t it have collapsed long ago? After considering this, Jeongyun honestly nodded.
“I’ve thought about tearing it all down and rebuilding it, but that’s really difficult.”
“May I ask why?”
“…Well. I don’t really know either.”
Because of his manifestation pain and accident happening together, Domin couldn’t remember most of his childhood. The memories he could clearly recall were few enough to count on his fingers. If there hadn’t been photos, he wouldn’t have even known he had parents.
But when he came here, sometimes forgotten memories would surface. The two gentle people who held his small hands and kissed his cheeks.
“Choi Domin?”
Brought back to reality by Jeongyun calling his name, Domin smiled as if nothing was wrong. Then he leaned his head against Jeongyun again and closed his drowsy eyes.
“I’ll rest a little bit.”
“…Like this?”
Even though it wasn’t a comfortable position by anyone’s standards, Domin insisted on resting this way and leaned even more heavily against him. He patted Jeongyun’s stiff thigh and said in a small voice.
“It’ll just be for a moment…”
Domin trailed off and then let out a deep breath.
After a little time passed, Jeongyun glanced to the side and saw that Domin had already fallen into a deep sleep. Seeing Domin’s neck bent uncomfortably, perhaps due to their height difference, Jeongyun straightened his back.
‘Well, he must be tired.’
From the long drive to cooking alone and cleaning up afterward, Domin had done so many things. In comparison, all he did was stand and wait. Even though he wanted to help, Domin had said everything was fine.
‘I wonder if he’s okay with the aftereffects.’
Even though he must have used a lot of his ability during the air walk, Domin hadn’t asked for Guiding. But it must have been taxing, so Jeongyun carefully took the sleeping Domin’s hand.
‘It’s warmed up.’
Holding the hand that was adjusting to a similar body temperature more firmly, Jeongyun followed Domin’s lead and slowly closed his eyes. Listening to the crackling sounds of the fireplace, he fell asleep just like that.
