“Was that Yeo Jeongyun?”
Just as Domin was finishing his call with Jeongyun, Junyoung, who was entering the waiting room with perfect timing, asked. Domin lightly ignored the question and put down his phone.
Considering how uncharacteristically he had sent a call first, he probably wanted to continue the conversation they hadn’t finished that day. After all, three days had passed, which was plenty of time. Now he could talk calmly with Jeongyun without getting excited. That is, if Jeongyun had stopped giving Guiding to other Espers after hearing what he said.
Of course, Domin was confident that Jeongyun would have stopped Guiding after hearing his request. It would be difficult to refuse a request from him, of all people.
‘Maybe I shouldn’t have asked him to come to my house.’
He wondered if it was necessary to ask Jeongyun to come all the way to his house when he could have just said they’d meet another time if there wasn’t enough time. But he couldn’t take back what he’d already said.

If Junyoung found out that Domin had invited Jeongyun to his house, he would definitely make a fuss. He’d probably say things like “the sun is rising from the west” and other nonsense. It was better to keep quiet rather than listen to such comments.
‘Today I can do Guiding at a leisurely pace.’
The conversation would end quickly, so he planned to use the remaining time to do a satisfying Guiding session after a long while. Lately, to accommodate Jeongyun, they had only held hands or at most, just brushed lips.
So, wasn’t it about time he acted as he pleased? The thought of doing Guiding all night already made him feel good. The timing was also perfect since tomorrow was the weekend.
Though he had other things to do, Jeongyun didn’t have to go to work, so there was no burden. After all, compared to Espers, a Guide’s stamina was terrible.
Domin picked up his phone again and sent a message to Jeongyun with his home address and time. As always, but especially today, he hoped time would pass quickly.

The time Domin called Jeongyun was later than expected. Because of this, even reporting his outing wasn’t easy, but Jeongyun made the effort to head to Domin’s house anyway.
Fortunately, he had time to stop by his own home to change clothes and buy a gift. After worrying about what would be good, he bought a safe choice of wine based on an employee’s recommendation, but he was concerned about what to do if Domin didn’t drink alcohol.
‘Maybe I should have asked before buying.’
It was too late to change the gift despite his regrets. Jeongyun immediately caught a taxi and gave the driver Domin’s address. The roads were quiet after rush hour.
He tried to calm his pounding heart while watching the streetlights flash by. It wasn’t just a casual visit; he was going to have a conversation. So there was no need to feel this excited, but that was easier said than done.
But how could he stay calm? After all, he was going to Domin’s house, not just anywhere.
‘Will we do Guiding today?’
He had showered just in case, but wondered if he was being too eager. Even if they did Guiding, lately it was just kissing at most.
Still, just in case. Being prepared wasn’t a bad thing. Light Guiding could escalate if it wasn’t enough.
“Driver, may I open the window for a moment?”
“Yes, go ahead.”
When he opened the window wide to cool the hot flush on his face, cold air poured in. His face had been hot earlier, but now it became ice-cold in an instant.
Jeongyun closed the window again and waited for his face to warm up. Not long after, the taxi gradually slowed down, seeming to arrive at Domin’s house.
“We’ve arrived.”
“Thank you, driver.”
After getting out of the taxi, Jeongyun saw a high-rise officetel that required him to tilt his head back fully to see. It was the same building that had once appeared on a variety show introducing the most expensive homes in Korea.
‘So this is Choi Domin’s house.’
After sufficiently admiring it, Jeongyun checked the building and unit number and went between the officetel buildings. Domin’s house was on the very top floor. Wasn’t this called a penthouse? Suddenly, Domin felt even more distant.
“What brings you here?”
An employee guarding the entrance asked Jeongyun, who was hesitantly entering. When he said he came to Domin’s house, the employee checked something and only then let Jeongyun in.
Jeongyun got on the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor. The doors closed, and the elevator carrying Jeongyun rose quickly. As the numbers on the panel got higher, his ears felt stuffed.
[The doors are opening.]
Along with the friendly announcement, the doors slid open as they arrived at the floor.
He expected to see a hallway first, but instead saw an entrance. Confused, Jeongyun hesitantly stood in front of the entrance.
‘The door is open.’
The front door was slightly ajar, perhaps left open by Domin. Jeongyun took off his shoes and neatly arranged them, then peeked through the slightly open gap.
“Excuse me…”
Beyond the front door was not a room, but a long hallway. It was very different from his own home where the living room was visible right away. Jeongyun opened the door and entered, putting on one of the slippers neatly arranged on the rug.
‘I guess I can go in.’
For some reason, the wine he had bought as a gift looked so unimpressive. He had bought it based on an employee’s recommendation that it was popular as a housewarming gift, but it seemed like a more expensive wine would suit this house better.
No, actually, to bring a gift that matched this house, he would have to spend more than his monthly salary. In the end, no matter what he brought, it wouldn’t have matched.
‘Where is Choi Domin?’
Past the hallway was a spacious living room. The moonlight pouring through the large windows gave the living room a dreamy color.
It was also incredibly high up, with a night view outside the window that looked like something you would see from an observatory. Jeongyun unknowingly headed toward it.
The night view was so beautiful that it made him momentarily forget that he should be looking for Domin. Jeongyun stared blankly at the night view, leaning close to the window. He had never seen such a beautiful night view before.
“—go.”
Just then, Domin’s voice was heard from somewhere.
Coming to his senses, Jeongyun turned away from the window and looked for where the voice had come from.
Crossing the darkened living room and going deeper inside, he saw a room that looked like a bedroom. He felt a presence through the gap in the door where light was leaking out.
Calming his nervous heart, Jeongyun walked to where Domin was, tightly holding his gift. The moment he gently grabbed the doorknob and opened the door, someone staggered backward and bumped into Jeongyun who had just entered.
“Ouch!”
“Ugh.”
Startled, Jeongyun unknowingly dropped the wine he was holding. Fortunately, the bottle didn’t break, but the box that the employee had carefully packaged was crushed.
Trying to suppress his disappointment, Jeongyun bent down to pick up the gift and then raised his head again. Their eyes, discovering each other, shook aimlessly.
“…Ah.”
His mind went completely blank.
How could he explain this situation? Domin was indeed here, but he wasn’t alone. And the person who was with Domin in this room that looked like a bedroom was none other than Saeon.
“Why is he here?”
Saeon asked Domin. Jeongyun, whose question had been stolen, also looked at Domin. Seeing the two people demanding answers without hesitation, Domin placed his hand on his forehead as if having a headache.
He seemed to have just finished bathing, as Domin was wearing a robe. Jeongyun quickly checked Saeon’s condition. Fortunately, he was properly dressed.
“Shit…”
Instead of an answer, Domin cursed and approached with large strides. Then he grabbed Saeon’s arm. Could it be that he was choosing Saeon again like before? His vision turned white at the repeating nightmare.
“You, get out.”
“Why should I!”
But fortunately, the reason Domin grabbed Saeon was to throw him out of the house.
Domin dragged out Saeon, who was resisting and yelling loudly, not wanting to leave. Left alone, Jeongyun’s legs gave way and he sat down right there.
‘Why… is Ju Saeon here?’
The question he couldn’t ask because he was too shocked kept popping up in his head countless times. Jeongyun hugged the crushed wine box and exhaled a deep breath.
“Guide Yeo Jeongyun.”
Meanwhile, Domin, who had returned after throwing out Saeon, called for Jeongyun. Startled by the sudden tap on his shoulder, Jeongyun roughly swung his hand. Domin, hit on the back of his hand, widened his eyes.
“Ugh—”
Jeongyun bit his lip, which habitually tried to say sorry. Domin looked at his reddened hand and sighed deeply. Then he passed by Jeongyun without a word.
It felt like they had returned to the cold days of the past. Staggering to his feet, Jeongyun asked Domin’s back:
“Why… was Ju Saeon here?”
