Chapter 77
It sounded like he was talking to himself.
“Right?”
Mujin asked once more.
“What do you mean?”
“What I’m saying is… nothing just passes by in the end.”
“I don’t know what you’re talk—”
Eunseong couldn’t finish his sentence as Mujin kept closing the distance between them.
What situation is this now? Surely not?
Had he fallen prey to another hallucination?
Just as he turned his head to look for an enemy that might be lurking somewhere, his jaw was gripped firmly. As the large hand’s body heat felt unrealistically hot, and in the moment he thought this was strange, Mujin filled his entire field of vision.
“Mu…!”
Their lips pressed firmly together, and Eunseong stopped breathing.
His eyes were wide open and blinking when Mujin tilted his head, bringing Eunseong back to his senses. Eunseong pulled his face back and pushed against Mujin’s shoulders with both hands.
“What kind of buff is this?!”
Somehow his waist had been grabbed, and the distance between them had only widened by a hand’s breadth. When he unconsciously licked his heated lips, feeling like they might burst, Mujin’s eyes watching him flashed bright yellow.
“Mujin- mmph!”
Just as he was about to ask again, his lips were devoured once more.
What on earth?
The reason he kept wondering what was happening was because he didn’t understand what was going on in Mujin’s mind. His vision filled with bright yellow eyes. Eunseong had never imagined this kind of eye contact or kissing. Not content with just sucking on his lips, a tongue parted his teeth and entered. His whole body began to tremble with shock.
The hot, wet tongue swept through his mouth. Electricity ran up his spine, making Eunseong’s shoulders shudder. This was the first time he realized that such a soft, squishy piece of flesh could move so roughly.
With trembling hands, he tried pushing against Mujin’s shoulders, tapping them, even pinching them, but the difference in strength was too great. Mujin enveloped Eunseong with both arms, practically trapping him. He felt like he was being devoured. His pupils dilated with fear. Yet even then, he didn’t think to bite the invading tongue. He just trembled and received him.
“Haah!”
Just before his face exploded from lack of oxygen, their lips separated. He was so startled that tears welled up in his eyes. When he glared at Mujin with a look demanding explanation, Mujin blinked his now-black eyes twice.
“Why, why suddenly… what is this…”
As the pooled tears streamed down his face, the arms around his waist loosened. Eunseong, backpedaling, ended up sitting on the floor after pushing aside the folding chair with his body. His legs had given out completely. Only then did an alarmed Mujin approach to help him up.
“E-explain. Baek Mujin.”
Eunseong retreated, dragging his backside across the floor. His voice trembled terribly. Being overpowered by Mujin was a first for him, and he was unconsciously frightened.
With the thick tent fabric bulging outward, Eunseong pressed himself against the edge. Mujin knelt in front of him like a four-legged beast.
“Eunseong.”
One step closer, and there was nowhere left to escape. Eunseong lifted only his eyes to look at the ceiling of the waiting tent. The side was being pulled, causing the frame to bend.
“This is your skill, you know.”
“…”
“Don’t you remember?”
At Mujin’s soothing voice, Eunseong lowered his eyes to look at him again.
“My skill?”
Despite the gentle voice, he couldn’t relax because of Mujin’s gaze. Those brightly glowing eyes were too unfamiliar. With eyes like a caged beast finally unleashed, Mujin closed the distance by another step.
Mujin’s eyes rippled deeply. Tilting his head, he smiled softly, curling up the corners of his mouth. As if trying to reassure him, but Eunseong wasn’t fooled. Those predator-like upturned eyes declared that the hunt had begun.
“You really don’t remember?”
The lips that whispered the question descended upon Eunseong again.
“…!”
Eunseong was startled and tried to escape, but it was useless. Mujin pushed the cornered Eunseong down and easily mounted him. He firmly restrained Eunseong’s defensive arms and once again deeply locked their lips together.
The tip of his tongue wedged between Eunseong’s lips, diving in as if to suck out his very breath. His trapped arms couldn’t move at all, and his lower body, caught between Mujin’s thighs, was also firmly squeezed. This caused his weakened waist to go limp.
With each rub of their lips, Mujin’s tongue scraped against the tender mucous membrane as if biting into it. Their teeth clashed from the misalignment. Even that was a stimulation that made Eunseong’s body shiver. It was a hot, savage contact. Mujin seemed not to be breathing at all. He just attacked as if he would devour Eunseong completely. His whole body radiated anger, as if refusing to allow Eunseong to escape his embrace.
“Hm… nh… Mu-jin.”
Eunseong twisted his head, panting for breath. Just when he thought their lips might finally separate, his hair was gently gripped. The next moment, hot breath rushed against his nape. His skin was strongly sucked by lips, and the sensation of sharp teeth grazing over it made Eunseong stiffen and swallow his breath. Even the air inside the tent seemed to tremble finely.
“Calm, calm down. Just wait… let’s talk, Mujin!”
He tried pushing against Mujin’s chest with his freed hands, but it looked more like clinging to him instead. The pattern repeated: Eunseong struggling, Mujin grabbing him, and Eunseong pushing back again. Pinned down, Eunseong pushed against the floor frantically with both legs.
Creeak— Finally, the tent frame that couldn’t withstand the pressure made a sharp sound as it tilted. The entire tent, unnaturally pulled due to the barrier Mujin had set up, was trembling.
Pop! Something was uprooted, and as the supporting pole tilted, the tent ceiling collapsed as if pouring down. Mujin instinctively arched his back, shielding Eunseong in his arms. Thick metal frames rained down on Mujin’s back.
Clang! Clang! After a series of noises, the beige fabric completely covered the two of them. They were instantly trapped inside the collapsed tent.
“…Huk.”
Eunseong opened his eyes, which had been tightly shut, from within Mujin’s embrace. He looked around, trying to steady his uneven breathing. His blue eyes trembled back and forth.
Mujin slowly raised his face. He suppressed his excitement while listening to Eunseong’s panting breaths. Only now did he feel like he was coming back to his senses. He noticed that Eunseong’s knuckles had turned white as they gripped his wrist.
“Were you scared?”
When he asked in a thoroughly hoarse voice, Eunseong looked up fearfully.
“But you still haven’t given me a buff, Eunseong.”
Again? With no way to push Mujin off, Eunseong covered his lips with his hand. This elicited a short laugh that scattered over the back of his hand. Lick—as if regretfully tasting the back of his hand, it left a cool sensation.
As Eunseong, malfunctioning and unsure how to react, could only blink his eyes, the sound of people gathering and muttering outside grew louder.
The next moment, wind rushed in as the collapsed tent debris was lifted away.
“…!”
Simultaneously with the strong light pouring in, Mujin shielded Eunseong’s body. Then, moving with surprising quickness, he found the helmet. It took less than a few seconds to put it on Eunseong’s head.
“Are you two alright?”
As soon as they straightened their posture, Rift Control Agency staff who had removed the tent rushed in. Mujin retorted in a cold voice.
“Please inspect the facilities properly.”
It was an incredibly shameless statement. Hard to believe it was the same person who had been licking his lips and showering kisses just moments ago. Moreover, he was the very culprit who had destroyed the tent…
Eunseong took deep breaths. His mouth tasted sweet, and his cheeks were burning hot. The inside of the helmet was filled with his own hot breath.
‘…What was that?’
His mind had gone completely blank.
As he reached out fumblingly, Mujin, recognizing Eunseong’s need, found the collapsed folding chair and set it upright for him. Once he barely managed to sit down, his knees started trembling. He had to press them down with both hands to avoid looking unsightly.
As the tent debris was cleared away, he naturally felt the gazes of nearby hunters gathering one by one. Eunseong unconsciously tried to touch his cheek but ended up just rubbing the helmet.
Mujin stood by Eunseong’s side, dusting off the dirt from his shoulders and back before accepting the briefing materials handed over by the Rift Control Agency staff. With one hand on Eunseong’s shoulder, he began reading the materials.
Tap tap, the fingertips tapping his shoulder moved in a steady rhythm as if telling him to calm down.
His breathing gradually returned to normal. Eunseong slightly lifted the helmet visor to release the heat. When he looked up at Mujin, the eyes that had been reading the briefing materials smoothly moved to meet his gaze.
‘You need to give me a buff.’
His persistent gaze still glistened.
‘What is this?’
His heart beat irregularly again. His ears rang, and his breath quickened. Eunseong froze with his lips parted, swollen and tingling. He simply couldn’t shift his gaze away from the man looking down at him.
‘Do you like me?’
🙈🙈🙈HOLY MACKEREL-
