# Chapter 57
At Origin, tracking devices were secretly implanted in Espers to effectively control and track their locations, but Cha Yoon didn’t have one.
The people who pushed for this initiative refused to have devices implanted in their own bodies, and the Center Director also didn’t have one for the same reason.
‘We should have found a way to implant it somehow.’
The Center Director thought, shaking his head.
However, it wasn’t that they didn’t want to do it; he knew well that it would have been impossible even if they had used all their power.
The Center Director looked at the S-class Espers and Lee Ha-min.
S-class Espers were already powerful on their own, but after meeting the monster that was Ha-min, they seemed to have become dangerously untouchable.
If these people confronted Cha Yoon, Cha Yoon might die.
That’s what he thought.
‘Maybe this is for the best.’
Though Cha Yoon had certainly done great things for Origin, he was like an uncontrollable time bomb.
If the S-class Espers took the initiative to deal with such a person, he might end up owing them a great debt.
“How long do we have to wait?”
Byun Tae-young asked irritably, and the Center Director broke into a sweat.
What he thought was sweat was actually blood, but he was unaware of this fact.
“People are out looking, so they’ll find him soon.”
He tried to speak calmly, but all color had drained from his face, and the trembling of his hands grew increasingly worse.

Travel restrictions were imposed in Origin Central.
After an hour had passed, no one had discovered Cha Yoon’s whereabouts.
Origin’s Center Director never imagined he would have to contact Beta’s Center Director himself, but he had no choice.
Since they had confirmed through CCTV that Cha Yoon had taken Seo Eunwoo out of the restaurant in Beta Central, he thought they needed to start tracking from there.
When the Center Director requested cooperation, thinking they must find Cha Yoon’s trail even if it meant checking surveillance cameras on the roads, Beta’s Center Director was relaxed.
Origin’s Center Director’s approach must have been quite an entertaining spectacle for him.
Seeing Beta’s Center Director repeatedly make humble requests, Byun Tae-young approached and snatched the smartphone.
“Does this seem like a joke to you?”
The Center Director couldn’t even respond.
He didn’t ask who it was or what they were talking about.
Though he felt tremendous humiliation, he said he would take immediate action and asked to speak with Origin’s Center Director.
It was an unprecedented operation.
Such an operation had never occurred even once before.
Most people thought that as long as they actually conducted the operation, finding a missing person wouldn’t be difficult at all, even though they had never done such a thing before.
The S-class Espers also thought it was just a matter of time.
Cha Yoon’s movements after leaving the restaurant were gradually revealed.
The route he traveled for about 30 minutes quickly became clear.
It was confirmed that he had left Beta Central and gone to Origin Central.
But then Cha Yoon suddenly got out of the car with Seo Eunwoo and entered an unfamiliar building, and from that point, his trail became vague.
The building was a mixed-use complex with numerous people coming and going.
They clearly saw them entering, but there was no sign of them coming out.
They speculated that he might have changed clothes in the meantime and looked for people with similar builds exiting.
However, even with several people on the case, they achieved no significant results.
It was the same even though all of Origin Center’s Espers were mobilized for the task.

Cha Yoon lit a fire in the fireplace of the cabin he hadn’t visited for a long time.
Seo Eunwoo slept for a long time.
It was because of Cha Yoon, but he slept much longer than Cha Yoon had expected.
Cha Yoon didn’t want to tie up or imprison Seo Eunwoo, so he chose to make him sleep.
He had pulled the bed closer to the fireplace and was keeping it warm, but occasionally wondered if this was something to sleep so long for.
It had been three days since he came here with Seo Eunwoo.
He didn’t know what was happening outside right now.
On the day he met Seo Eunwoo at the restaurant and brought him here, he knew both Beta and Origin Central had been turned upside down.
When he asked the person in charge of Central’s perimeter security what had happened, the man told him everything that had occurred in the meantime.
Even though the man knew he was talking to Cha Yoon, he was under Cha Yoon’s mental control and told him everything he knew.
After entering the building with Seo Eunwoo, Cha Yoon went to a clothing store and bought clothes.
After purchasing several outfits, he left Seo Eunwoo there briefly, went to the bathroom, and put on all the clothes.
As he layered several thick clothes and wore a sweater on top, his body appeared bulky.
He made Seo Eunwoo wear shoes with insoles and left the building, and though he wondered if all this was necessary, he was excessively cautious at every moment until they reached the cabin.
After arriving at the cabin, he turned off his concern and paid no attention to outside affairs.
The Center was in turmoil.
Bringing Seo Eunwoo had been an impulsive decision.
Regrets?
A little.
But it also seemed like it could be fun.
Seo Eunwoo obeyed his words well.
His hypnosis had worked well, which delighted him.
Cha Yoon questioned Seo Eunwoo and discovered many things.
Though he had collected information about Espers from both Origin and Beta Centers to the point of exhaustion, if not for this opportunity, he would never have been able to find out about Seo Eunwoo.
What Seo Eunwoo said was too bizarre.
So Cha Yoon thought his mind control might not have worked properly.
Even now, he hadn’t completely abandoned that thought.

‘I’ve rummaged through too many people’s memories. I should have only done that to people who were absolutely necessary.’
He had dealt with too much information and therefore deliberately tried not to remember unimportant things.
It was a kind of emptying process, and he did it compulsively, feeling that if he didn’t free up capacity this way, he wouldn’t be able to remember new things.
‘But considering how carelessly I emptied it, it probably wasn’t an important person.’
Sometimes he had disposed of information this way without realizing it might be needed later.

Cha Yoon, looking at Seo Eunwoo through his glasses, became lost in thought again.
Seo Eunwoo had said he was an S-class Esper from the beginning.

He would return eventually, but not yet.

Until now, Cha Yoon had never properly revealed his power, and no one knew for certain who he was or what kind of being he was.

No one here knew that fact.
He was confident he could make the Center Director’s mental world explode with his ability.
This confidence came from experiments he had conducted on several Espers.
“Seo Eunwoo.”
Sitting at the edge of the bed, he quietly called that name.
Seo Eunwoo’s body was prepared to respond to Cha Yoon.
If told to wake up, he would wake up; if told to continue sleeping, he would sleep.
Cha Yoon pondered for a moment.
Then he decided to wake him.
“Open your eyes.”
Slowly, the eyelids lifted.
Long, thick eyelashes rose along with them, revealing mysterious and remarkable eyes.
Could they really be so clear?
While looking at those eyes, as if peering into the abyss of a lake one shouldn’t look into, Cha Yoon found himself thinking this unconsciously.
Looking at them, it felt like he could fall in beyond control.
It was an open secret that the S-class Espers had fallen for Seo Eunwoo.
Although the S-class Espers themselves were unwilling to admit it, it had been confirmed multiple times, and Cha Yoon himself had witnessed it several times.
He had been present when Byun Tae-young was dining with Seo Eunwoo at the Central restaurant.
Although Byun Tae-young hadn’t noticed his presence at all.
