I Became a Foreign Element in the Guideverse 1

Chapter 1

I first realized I had been reincarnated into my sister’s novel “Seeping Through” after previously being reincarnated into a martial arts game when I saw Lee Ha-min standing before me.

Everything about Lee Ha-min was exactly as I had read in the novel.

It now feels like ancient history how I was forcibly enlightened to stories about men that I really didn’t want to know about, all because he followed me around asking me to evaluate his novel and reading it to me.

Though his level doesn’t show because it exceeds measurable limits, Ha-min is an S-class Guide with the ability to simultaneously guide three S-class Espers who had conquered the most dangerous dungeons, getting them back on their feet within just one day.

The essence that makes the lives of S-class Espers possible.

That was Lee Ha-min’s true identity.

With his fragile atmosphere that seemed like he might shatter at the slightest touch, transparent-looking skin, and a face that could be the model of beauty.

Looking at Ha-min, who naturally made me feel that I should never compete with him no matter what, I finally acknowledged the truth.

That this man was Lee Ha-min and that I had entered the novel “Seeping Through.”

It had been almost a year since then.

But because of the lengthy irregular publishing schedule, I hadn’t accepted that fact until recently.

Here, I was Seo Eunwoo, a twenty-year-old Esper.

In the novel, I’m the foreign element “with rare beauty rarely seen in this life” who becomes jealous of Lee Ha-min, the dedicated Guide for S-class Espers, deploys all sorts of schemes, and ends up being brutally killed by those S-class Espers.

Ha-min thought the S-class Espers liked Eunwoo, and Eunwoo believed it too.

Since the S-class Espers themselves didn’t recognize their feelings for Ha-min, it wasn’t strange that people around them misunderstood their feelings.

Obsessive yandere, self-deprecating bottom, multiple tops for one bottom, beautiful top, beautiful bottom.

The foreign element caught in those keywords.

That was me. Fuck.

Since I couldn’t meet such a death, I’ve been diligently avoiding any contact with them.

If there’s any silver lining, it’s that I was reincarnated at the beginning of the novel.

At this point, there might still be a chance to avoid death.

But while I could avoid the S-class Espers, I couldn’t completely avoid Lee Ha-min, the main bottom character of the novel.

That’s because lower-ranked Espers and Guides have overlapping living areas.

While S-class Espers receive special treatment with separate living quarters, lower-ranked Espers share many aspects with Guides.

So I unwillingly ended up seeing Ha-min frequently, and just as much as I saw him, Ha-min must have seen me too, seemingly becoming increasingly aware of my existence.

With his beautiful face, Ha-min was busy observing people’s reactions.

He seemed preoccupied with trying to erase his presence, thinking people wouldn’t like him.

Although Guides were treated poorly in this world, not all of them received such treatment.

If a Guide frequently guided higher-ranked Espers and received their attention and protection, others couldn’t treat them carelessly.

However, Ha-min, despite showing incredible compatibility with the three S-class Espers in Korea (out of less than a hundred worldwide) and providing them with effective guiding, had been coldly treated by them, which led others to treat him carelessly as well.

‘Those bastards didn’t even understand their own feelings and acted so recklessly.’

The S-class Espers didn’t want to acknowledge their turbulent feelings when seeing Ha-min, and couldn’t understand why they, as men, were obsessed with and craving for Ha-min.

And the stronger their desire for Ha-min became, the more they wanted to deny it, tormenting him terribly.

People who witnessed this thought the S-class Espers disliked Ha-min, and joined in tormenting him, collectively completing his self-deprecating bottom character.

Since the moment I woke up in Eunwoo’s body, Ha-min had always been alone.

Espers and Guides tormented him without feeling any guilt, and Ha-min seemed to have come to accept it as natural.

Although they appeared not to see him, the S-class Espers always kept an eye on Ha-min, which is why I had no desire to get involved with Ha-min.

I thought that the moment I did, I would naturally catch the attention of the S-class Espers, making it impossible to avoid the brutal death route.

However, I couldn’t keep ignoring Ha-min, who seemed to be slowly dying inside.

I thought that if the S-class Espers tried to attack me, I’d just snap their necks one by one, so I’d been quietly preventing people from bullying Ha-min, and it seemed like he had noticed.

I’d tried to do it secretly, but he has good intuition.

And that’s why this situation was happening now.

“Um… Eunwoo.”

When I came to the cafeteria after waiting at the center, Ha-min spotted me and called out.

After I lined up, put food on my tray, and sat down, Ha-min scurried over with his tray.

I knew how uncomfortable he felt coming to the cafeteria.

When coming to the cafeteria, he inevitably had to bump into people, and Ha-min dreaded this time terribly.

To receive good treatment here, one had to be born into a good family or be a high-ranking Esper.

And Ha-min didn’t qualify for either.

Me?

I’m originally a character who bullies Ha-min due to inferiority complexes about my low status and rank, eventually gaining attention through unique political maneuvering, but right now only the “low status” part had developed.

So my treatment wasn’t much different from Ha-min’s.

Moreover, to avoid the brutal death route, I wasn’t joining any factions and was working hard to stay alone, which made it even worse.

So Ha-min seemed to feel something like kinship with me, but for me, it was just burdensome and I wished he wouldn’t come close, because my own life was overwhelming enough without having to carry Ha-min’s burden too.

“Can I sit with you?”

His plump, red lips moved, and a pleasant, beautiful voice flowed out.

“Is this all my seat? If it’s empty, just sit. Why ask?”

I said without properly looking at him, only staring down at the food on my tray.

With the sole intention of quickly devouring the soy sauce baked chicken on today’s menu.

“Um… is there room?”

“Can’t you see it’s empty?”

“Ah! Then can I sit here?”

“I already said you can, Ha-min. How many times do I have to repeat myself?”

Finally, a long sigh escaped me.

To be able to drain my energy with just a few conversations.

He’s really exhausting.

“No. I… thought you might not like me sitting in front of you…”

I knew what he meant as he mumbled with his head down.

I knew from the novel that Espers often said such things to Ha-min while getting annoyed.

That he was disgusting and nauseating, so get lost.

Especially Kyun In, who would spout such words every time he opened his foul mouth, cutting away at Ha-min’s already low self-esteem.

“Sit down. It’s fine.”

I took my eyes off the tray and looked at him as I spoke.

I had no interest in other people’s lives before being reincarnated, but Ha-min was forcing me to change my personality.

Every time I saw him, I felt his beauty was truly unrealistic.

I’ve thought many times that even the most skilled writer couldn’t have found a way to express this beauty.

“Are you… really okay with it?”

“Yes. It’s fine. Ha-min, please just sit down. Don’t make me repeat myself.”

“Okay. I’m sorry. I have an annoying personality, don’t I? I’m sorry.”

A little?

It seems extremely so…

Thinking he might keep asking while holding his tray if I didn’t do something, I told him to quickly come and sit down, and for a brief moment, Ha-min’s eyes crinkled beautifully.

“Thank you. Do you like soy sauce baked chicken too? Want me to give you my drumstick?”

This kid is incredibly nice?

When I look carefully, his personality doesn’t seem that bad either.

I think we could get along well!

Then the smile suddenly disappeared from Ha-min’s face, and suddenly his body tilted forward as his tray shot up into the air.

“Aaaaah!!”

With all sorts of Espers with various strange abilities crowding around, such incidents happen casually.

Hearing snickering from nearby, it seemed someone had used a strange method like suddenly immobilizing Ha-min’s legs or making the floor under him slippery.

An Esper could quickly deal with such situations, but a Guide who was merely an ordinary person would be helplessly victimized.

Like Ha-min right now.

Ha-min was in a situation where he nearly fell while moving, thinking he could naturally walk.

‘Ah, shit!!’

With no time to go around to the other side, I planted my hand on the table, launched myself onto the tabletop, caught Ha-min’s body, and grabbed his tray too, causing murmurs from all around.

“What the… he caught that? The falling tray?”

I returned to my seat as nonchalantly as possible.

Hoping everyone would pretend not to notice and move on.

There were murmurs from here and there, but I kept my head down and focused solely on my meal.

“Thank you, Eunwoo. Because of me, you…”

“No. There’s nothing uncomfortable because of you, so from now on, let’s just quietly eat. If you can just do that, I’d really appreciate it. Okay?”

“Yes!!”

He picked up his spoon as if that was something he could definitely do well, and even his hands were somehow so beautiful.

Kyun In, the telekinetic ability user who was only obsessed with the uke in the original work, attempts awkward flirting. Not only are all the semes in the novel gravitating toward me... "Eunwoo.
