Gentle Giant Chapter 95

“So what are you curious about? Hmm?”

Dohyeon asked in a suggestive voice. Dain fidgeted with his fingers for a moment before looking at the baby nestled in Dohyeon’s arms. Come to think of it, he wondered if this was appropriate to discuss in front of such a young baby.

“Oh, but is it okay to talk about this in front of the baby?”

“It’s fine, he’s sleeping now and won’t wake up for at least an hour. And we can just talk quietly!”

“Well, sorry to trouble you, but please help me out, Dohyeon.”

“Hehe, don’t worry! Just tell me what you’re curious about. I’ll tell you everything from A to Z.”

Rabbit beast-men were rumored to have vigorous sexual appetites, and Dohyeon was exactly that kind of rabbit beast-man. Plus, with a baby, he was the perfect teacher when it came to ‘sexual intercourse.’

Dain carefully explained his current situation. He wanted to do it with Juho but had absolutely no idea how or what to prepare.

He thought about studying by watching videos, but there was no time when he was apart from Juho to watch them alone. And studying together would be too embarrassing.

Dohyeon, who had been nodding quickly at Dain’s explanation, widened his eyes.

“Wait, you two haven’t done it yet?”

“Huh? Well, um… we’ve only been dating for a few months, isn’t it too soon?”

“What are you talking about? You’re adults. What’s wrong with that? If you’re both into it, you could totally do it right after meeting!”

“Huh…??”

Dohyeon had an expression like it was no big deal. His stance was that since it’s something people do to make each other feel good, there’s no need to set a specific timeframe for it.

Dain’s ears turned red at Dohyeon’s words as he gave an awkward “I-I see” in response. If the modest Juho had come along, he would have been shocked by such an open mind.

Feeling his throat go dry, Dain took a sip of the vanilla latte he’d ordered.

Dohyeon had thought Dain would have already been thoroughly ravished by Juho. Because of that, he hadn’t expected to be asked about such basics.

Dain omitted detailed explanations about Juho’s physical condition. That was Juho’s personal matter, and wanting to know the solution was Dain’s own will.

While Dohyeon was feeling puzzled about Dain and Juho’s platonic romance, Dain once again asked him for advice.

“Hmm, first there are things you need to prepare.”

“Things to prepare…! Got it. Can you tell me in detail?”

Dain hardened his expression as if he wouldn’t miss a single word and began listening to Dohyeon’s lecture.

He broke out in cold sweat at some of the overly explicit expressions. However, since he wouldn’t be able to hear such useful talk if not now, Dain’s concentration didn’t waver even slightly.

Dohyeon was also excited to have such an enthusiastic student with passionate eyes in front of him. Later, he even drew visual aids himself and gave a passionate lecture.

After listening to Dohyeon’s lecture, Dain realized there was a lot he didn’t know. Even though he and Juho kissed and had seen each other naked, he didn’t think he was behind compared to others, but it seemed like he was mistaken.

Dain swallowed a sigh that rose from deep within. If only he had asked Dohyeon a little sooner, maybe Juho wouldn’t have collapsed. It was his own oversight.

As Dain accumulated new knowledge, he also accumulated guilt about Juho. He wondered if Juho was suffering needlessly because he had such a slow and clueless boyfriend. With the determination to repay that sorry feeling with perfect preparation, Dain listened even more attentively to Dohyeon’s final lecture.

“Dohyeon, thank you so much. It must have been a difficult request.”

“Difficult? What’s difficult about this? Just give me a detailed review next time. Got it?”

“Y-yeah, got it. I’ll do my best following what you taught me.”

“Good! Oh, this is the site I mentioned earlier. Hurry and sign up to get the membership coupon! They give discounts and free shipping too!”

“Yeah! This was what you said was good, right Dohyeon?”

“Right. This one, and this one. And this one too.”

He put the products Dohyeon pointed out into his cart and skillfully applied coupons to complete the purchase.

Of course, he also purchased a gift for Dohyeon, who had given such an incredibly targeted lecture today. Dohyeon’s lips curved up refreshingly as he watched the process from the side.

The confidence that had been completely at rock bottom when he came to the cafe was now soaring high by the time he was about to leave. For such adult matters, he, as the older one, had to lead Juho.

* * *

Entranced by Dohyeon’s lecture, he had stayed at the cafe without noticing the time, and before he knew it, more than 3 hours had passed since he left home.

Seeing that he hadn’t sent a single message while he was out, Juho seemed to be thoroughly sulking. Worry began creeping up belatedly.

Dain quickly entered the passcode and opened the door.

“Juho, hyung is ho…!”

He couldn’t finish saying “home” because before he could complete his greeting, his eyes met with Juho, who was crouched right in front of the entrance.

He looked as if he hadn’t moved even an inch from where he’d been standing before Dain left.

Startled, Dain quickly took off his shoes and checked on Juho. Juho’s face was pale white and his eyes were red and swollen. It looked like thick teardrops would fall at any moment if touched even slightly.

“J-Juho! Get up, does it hurt somewhere? Why are you crouched like this??”

Dain reached out his hand to Juho. His intention was to help him out of the uncomfortable position first. However, Juho just stared up at Dain without any thought of taking the extended hand.

Dain quickly crouched down in front of him at Juho’s strange behavior.

“What’s wrong, Juho? Hm?”

“I thought you weren’t coming back.”

“Huh?”

“I thought hyung wasn’t coming back.”

“Me?”

“Yes.”

“Why, why? I told you I was going to meet Dohyeon and come back. Why wouldn’t I come back?”

Dain asked back, not understanding what Juho meant.

He had clearly said he was going to meet Dohyeon, and while he was a bit later than expected, it wasn’t late enough to think he wouldn’t come home at all.

Seeing Dain with such an innocent face and wide eyes made flames seem to rise from within Juho.

Just what kind of conversation could have been so interesting to take this long? Maybe he had even forgotten that he was waiting at home.

Only bad thoughts led to more bad thoughts. As the waiting time grew longer, his heart pounded and he felt anxious, but strangely he couldn’t move. He just didn’t want to move even a single step until Dain came in.

“I don’t know, when hyung left like that… I felt like I was being abandoned.”

“Wh-what are you talking about! Why would I abandon you…! First, get up, let’s sit somewhere comfortable and talk.”

Dain stood up abruptly in his surprised state. Then Juho also tried to get up following Dain this time. However, his legs, which had been crouched for several hours, had no strength.

His large body swayed and lost balance.

“Whoa!”

Dain quickly caught Juho’s arm. However, trying to catch Juho only with his right side, excluding his cast left arm, caused Dain’s body to be pulled toward Juho instead.

Crash.

With a loud sound like something collapsing, both of them tumbled to the floor. If Juho hadn’t pulled Dain and cushioned him underneath at the moment of falling, the impact would have been big enough that Dain might have needed a cast on his right hand too.

“Uh, Juho, are you okay?”

“Ah… yes. What about hyung? You didn’t get hurt anywhere, right?”

“Yeah, I’m fine. Can you get up?”

“Yes. I’m okay.”

Due to the physical impact, Juho felt his previously dazed mind becoming clearer instead.

Regardless of the time, the fact that Dain had come in – that itself was what mattered. The important thing was that today too, Dain hadn’t abandoned him.

Juho let out a sigh of relief and gently stroked the hair of Dain, who was lying on top of him.

Dain rolled his eyes to examine Juho’s face. Although they had fallen, he looked better than when he was crouched earlier.

Come to think of it, Dain thought Juho might be feeling anxious because of what happened at the hospital. Juho usually liked being close to Dain anyway. However, he wasn’t normally hysterical about Dain’s every move like today.

Dain touched Juho’s reddened eyes. How could he have lied when he was so tender-hearted and weak? Juho was still a boyfriend that Dain needed to protect.

“Juho, were you very anxious when hyung went out alone today?”

“…Yes.”

“Don’t be anxious. I’ve never said I’d abandon you. What are you going to do if you keep thinking such thoughts?”

“But what should I do when I keep being scared that hyung will leave me behind?”

“That will absolutely never happen, I really swear it.”

Dain rubbed his hair against Juho’s chest. It was the maximum aegyo and comfort Dain could offer.

Juho’s heart rate, which had been pounding with tension and anxiety, finally returned to its normal pace.

When they were together like this, there was nothing to be anxious about, but when separated from Dain even slightly, he felt scared and restless and didn’t want to do anything.

He must have caught some kind of mental illness. A mental illness with no cure that he didn’t want to fix either.

“You must have been continuously anxious because your body isn’t well and all. Hmm, Juho, then should we plan our trip to cheer you up? Hm? Let’s get up quickly and go inside. It’s cold here at the door.”

“Should we?”

“Yeah. There aren’t many days left, so we need to make reservations quickly! This time we can really have fun, right?”

Dain slowly got down from on top of Juho, being careful not to fall again.

This sudden side of Juho was bewildering but not unpleasant. And he was confident that Juho wouldn’t be anxious much longer. He had even taken a special lecture today for that day.

Dain quietly changed the travel keywords from ‘healing’ to ‘romance, couple’ and smiled with satisfaction.
