Gentle Giant Chapter 20
“Fuck. Fucking bastard.”
Juho, who had taken the card from Dain’s hand, roughly spat out curses as soon as he left the convenience store. The card in his hand had long since been crumpled beyond recognition.
While he was just looking because he was worried that touching would wear him down, that if he touched him he’d run away, cherishing him preciously. That piece of trash dared to not only threaten Dain but even tried to throw punches…
When that man’s fist was hitting the counter and was about to turn toward Dain, Juho could literally feel what it meant for his eyes to spin with rage.
Using his long legs to quickly walk in the direction the man had gone, Juho soon spotted the staggering figure of the man from behind.
The man, who was yelling loudly into his phone, naturally didn’t notice Juho’s presence as he quickly approached right behind him.
“So, fuck… Guk!!!”
Juho grabbed the back of the man’s neck and easily dragged the body, twice as big as an ordinary person, with one hand toward a side alley.
A secluded, dark alley without any CCTV. Whatever happened, as long as there wasn’t too much noise, it wouldn’t matter much.
Juho slammed the man straight into the wall. Hit against the wall with tremendous force, the man who couldn’t even let out a groan from the shock felt throughout his entire body collapsed straight to the ground.
Meanwhile, Juho’s yellow eyes watching the man writhing on the ground trying to get up were not just cold but frozen white.
After several attempts to stand up failed, the man who coughed finally raised his head to see the identity of who had thrown him down. And instinctively began to back away, kicking his feet to avoid him.
However, since he was already cornered at the end of the alley, there was no way to escape from the giant being blocking his path.
Screech, screeech.
The unpleasant sound of shoes frantically scraping the ground echoed through the alley. At that sound, Juho slightly furrowed his brow and let out a short breath.
And starting with that short breath, Juho’s long legs surrounded by solid muscles mercilessly poured down on the man’s body.
He was inflicting equally cruel violence on everywhere except the man’s face, but Juho’s face remained completely calm, with only his hair slightly disheveled from the recoil of kicking.
In contrast, the man who had to endure that violence completely could only curl his body into a ball to reduce the impact. He couldn’t even make a sound to resist the violence or ask for reasons.
“Ha, fuck. So pathetic. Where does a piece of shit worse than a bug get off.”
A grinding voice flowed from Juho, who had been cruelly wielding violence without saying a word until now.
Despite knowing it was directed at him, the man who barely found that gap grabbed Juho’s leg and shouted.
“Why, why are you doing this!! Kugh… What, what did I do… wrong?!”
“What?”
“Kuk. No, kugh… Suddenly attacking someone…!”
The unexpected violence seemed quite unfair as the man continued speaking haltingly with a face covered in tears and snot.
Watching that scene, Juho lifted his other leg that wasn’t being held by the man and kicked the man’s chest.
At that impact, the man who rolled to the ground once more now poured out curses as if he’d given up.
“Damn…! You, you even after this… kugh, you bastard. I’m going to report, report you to the police!!! Kuk. Crazy, you… psycho bastard!!!”
“Police?”
“Th-, that’s right! Khuk… fuck…”
The man answered while clutching his chest as if out of breath. Juho, who had been watching with an indifferent expression, lifted his foot and stepped on the man’s ankle. At that impact, a horrible ‘crack!’ sound filled the alley, and shortly after, the man’s suppressed groan leaked out.
The man wanted to scream louder, but the impact from Juho’s beating was so great that he didn’t even have the strength left to open his mouth.
“Fuck. You said police station? Ha, I should have gone to that police station first. Yeah. Go to the police station. If you want to go even by crawling, you should go. Come here. I’ll do the same to your other fucking leg too.”
Juho smiled as he looked at the other leg that was still relatively intact. That smile was so creepy that the man now even wet himself, trembling with fear.
Juho looked at that sight with eyes full of contempt and stepped back. He thought this was enough. If he did more here, he felt like he’d only get in a worse mood from that filthy scene.
When Juho seemed to step back, the man finally felt relieved and lay his body on the ground.
Watching the man’s behavior from a distance, Juho came back and took out the man’s phone. At that action, the man visibly flinched, but he paid no attention and entered a strange number into the man’s phone.
“Calling this number will be better than going to the police station. Still, if you really feel wronged, going to the police station isn’t bad either. Well, figure it out yourself. And from now on, don’t come to the convenience store at the end here, okay? Hm? And speak nicely, behave properly. Who are you throwing punches at? Fuck.”
Juho, who had briefly crouched down to match the man’s eye level before standing up, got angry again while talking to the man.
Where does some half-formed piece of shit get off with Jung Dain. With my cat. Ha, fucking annoying. Juho, who put all his boiling anger into his last press on the man’s ankle, left the alley without any lingering feelings.
The man’s wailing cries that sounded like he was dying echoed from inside the alley once more, but he had no interest in such noise.
Still, since he was thinking of giving compensation, it wouldn’t be the worst for that bastard either. Originally, isn’t the world about fists over law, and money over fists?
On his way back to the convenience store after a brief scuffle(?) with the man, Juho checked his clothes under a streetlight.
Of all things, his clothes were white. If any blood had splattered, it would show immediately. Also, there might be the smell of that guy’s piss or blood.
Juho, whose brow furrowed deeply just from thinking of the man, checked several times that there was nothing particularly strange even in front of the convenience store before opening the door.
“Juho!!”
As Juho opened the door and entered, Dain, who had been pacing around inside the convenience store after coming out from the counter, rushed over to Juho.
Like a cat greeting its owner who had gone out to work, Juho’s lips naturally curved up at that sight.
“Hyung.”
“Ju, Juho, are you okay? Why were you so late! Did that drunk man harm you? Let me see. Hm?”
“Haha, hyung, were you worried about me?”
Dain busily moved around examining every corner of Juho’s body. Wondering if even a single hair had been damaged, he stood on his tiptoes to check even the top of Juho’s head.
Why was even that busyness so cute? Unlike when he had been on edge earlier, Juho felt endlessly softened and closed his eyes to enjoy those worried touches.
“Of course I was worried! I should have gone, but because of me… You did meet that man, right? Hm?”
“Yes. But there was nothing for you to worry about, hyung. I just delivered the card and talked briefly, that’s all.”
“Wh-, what did you talk about? Don’t tell me…! Did that man curse at you too?”
Worried about what they had talked about for him to return so late, Dain looked at Juho with an even more serious expression than when he himself had been cursed at. He looked like he would jump out immediately if Juho had been harmed.
Feeling the elation filling him up once again at that intense reaction, Juho gently shook his head.
“No, he didn’t. When I politely asked him not to do that to part-time workers in the future, he seemed to have sobered up a bit during that time and said he understood.”
“Really?”
“Yes. He must have been completely drunk when he was at the convenience store. That’s why he treated you like that, hyung.”
“I see… That’s a relief. Anyway, thank you so much. Thanks to you, I could find the man’s card without closing the convenience store. Um… Juho, what do you want to eat? I’ll buy it!”
Dain, who completely believed Juho’s blatant lie, was full of gratitude thinking that things had been resolved well thanks to Juho. Even though it was convenience store food, he wanted to buy Juho anything he wanted to eat.
Finding Dain’s heart endearing, Juho stroked Dain’s head while saying.
“No, I’m fine right now. Can’t you just make breakfast when we go home later? I’d like that better.”
“Huh? Breakfast? Oh, oh. Then would something simple like kimchi stew be okay?”
“Wow, kimchi stew would be perfect, thank you.”
“Great! Then I’ll make breakfast. Thank you so much today, Juho.”
Dain placed his hand on top of Juho’s hand that was stroking his head and gave tickling skinship, patting gently. It was his own way of conveying his gratitude to Juho who had suffered because of him.
As if understanding all of that heart, Juho responded to Dain with a bright eye-smile like sunshine.
“Hyung. Next time if something like today happens, you have to tell me first. Got it?”
“Hm…?”
“Even when I’m not there, if something like this happens, tell me everything. That way I can scold those people.”
“What, I can’t even imagine you scolding others… You can’t even touch other people properly because you’re worried they’ll get hurt. How can someone so kind scold anyone!”
Dain laughed as if he had heard a funny joke. Juho, who smiled even more deeply, however, demanded a precise answer from Dain once more.
“Oh no, did I get caught? Then even if I can’t scold them, at least so I can comfort you like this. Hm? You have to tell me all the upsetting things, okay?”
“Yeah. Of course! I have nothing to hide from you! I’ll tell you everything upsetting in the future too, thank you.”
“Don’t mention it. It’s naturally what I should do.”
Yeah, you have to tell me everything without hiding anything so I can destroy them all. Juho bit his molars tightly while thinking of the man from earlier.
Dain, completely unaware of Juho’s dark intentions, smiled innocently while once again mentally reciting the ‘Lee Juho angel theory’ he had repeated several times.
