Chapter 6

Pei Yiyan frowned. He didn’t like Shen Yuqing touching him.
Last night, it was already strange. This morning was just as weird.

Shen Yuqing easily noticed his slight expression change and quickly pulled his hand back.
He said, “I’m leaving.”

Pei Yiyan pressed his lips together and only gave a simple “Mm.”

Shen Yuqing completed his mission and left quickly.
He was afraid that if he stayed any longer, his mind would randomly show him another creepy memory from the original story.

The original host was crazy. Shen Yuqing was here to patch things up, but he couldn’t fix everything at once—it was exhausting!

Pei Yiyan heard the door open and close.
After listening carefully and confirming Shen Yuqing had really left, his stiff body slowly relaxed.

Pei Yiyan could still feel Shen Yuqing’s warmth on his back and shoulders.
What exactly was he trying to do?

But no matter what, he needed to stay cautious.

The driver dropped Shen Yuqing off at the school gate.

Slinor Academy was the first school founded after this planet stabilized.
To celebrate and remember the event, it was named after the planet itself.
Quite meaningful, actually.

Shen Yuqing walked in.
Classes started at 9:30, but it was only 8:30 now.
There were only a few students around, all looking tired and half-awake.

After being frightened by Pei Yiyan this morning, Shen Yuqing saw how lazy everyone looked and couldn’t help but yawn.

But before he even closed his mouth, a memory popped into his head again.

[In the abandoned equipment room.
Song Wangzhuo was tied to a chair by Lin Sui and others.
He was covered in dust, with signs of struggling.
Shen Yuqing stood in front of him, reached out and lifted his chin with a smile.
“You’re such a good runner. Why aren’t you running now?”

Song Wangzhuo glared at him. If looks could kill, Shen Yuqing would’ve died a hundred times.
Shen Yuqing took a step back, smiling wider.
“If you don’t want me to ‘have you all to myself,’ then take it off.
Let everyone see.”

“Shen Yuqing!” Song Wangzhuo struggled again but was tightly held down by the henchmen.
Shen Yuqing replied lazily, “Hmm? Need my help?”

Song Wangzhuo felt helpless.
Shen Yuqing was a beta and didn’t react to his pheromones at all.
If they fought, Song wasn’t sure he could escape safely—
those mad dogs Shen raised were watching nearby.
The Shen family’s power was like a mountain.
With just a glance, they could make him disappear without a trace.

“You should’ve known this was coming when you offended me.”
Shen Yuqing’s smile widened as he patted Song Wangzhuo’s face.
“Take it off.”
]

The system suddenly popped up in Shen Yuqing’s mind:

[Host, please continue the storyline with Song Wangzhuo and go with Lin Sui to the abandoned equipment room.]

Shen Yuqing sighed:
[The original host was really… awful.]

The system said cheerfully:
[Exactly, Host! But don’t worry.
The more cruelly someone gets bullied early on, the more satisfying the revenge later.
Everything done now will be paid back a thousand times in the future.]

Shen Yuqing sneered:
[So I should thank you now?]

[Don’t worry, Host. Once you complete your mission, we can even give you a new body,] the system explained.

A new body?

Shen Yuqing didn’t even have time to ask more when someone suddenly leaned on his shoulder.

He turned his head—it was Lin Sui.

Speak of the devil.

Lin Sui casually said, “What are you thinking about?
I called you just now and you didn’t answer.”

Shen Yuqing shook off his hand. “Nothing.”

But Lin Sui said, “You look upset.
Come on, let me cheer you up.”

Shen Yuqing looked at him with a complicated expression.
He really didn’t want to go.

The system urged:
[Host, please head to the mission location now.]

Fine, fine, I’ll go.

The two of them soon arrived at the “fun” place—
Sure enough, it was an abandoned equipment room.

Shen Yuqing pretended not to know what was inside and asked, “Why did you bring me here?”

Lin Sui laughed, “You’ll see.
With our relationship, would I call you here for anything bad?”

He walked over and opened the door.
Shen Yuqing followed him in.

Once inside, he realized that Song Wangzhuo looked even worse than the memory described.

He was tied to a chair.
His clothes were dirty and torn in places.

Song Wangzhuo stared coldly at Shen Yuqing, making his scalp tingle.

Even if Shen Yuqing didn’t benefit from this, he was still involved.

Lin Sui slung an arm around his shoulders.
“I know, last night was just an accident.
But today, I brought this guy back for you.
Do whatever you want—have fun.”

In Shen Yuqing’s head, data started flashing:

[Corruption Value: 77 | Affection: -40]
[Corruption Value: 77 | Affection: -45]
[Corruption Value: 78 | Affection: -48]

Crap, crap, crap!

Shen Yuqing cursed in his head.
He rushed to Song Wangzhuo and looked him straight in the eye.

Lin Sui gave his lackeys a look.
They stepped back, leaving Shen Yuqing alone with Song.

Song Wangzhuo gritted his teeth.
“Shen Yuqing, what do you want?”

He knew it!
Letting him go so easily yesterday was just a trick—
a setup to humiliate him even more today!

Shen Yuqing looked at the rising numbers and felt a headache coming.
He raised his hand and slapped Song Wangzhuo on the shoulder.

Grinding his teeth, he said word by word:
“You’re wearing so much. Something on your mind? Take it off!”

Song Wangzhuo shouted, “Shen Yuqing!”

Everyone in the room turned to look at Song Wangzhuo, waiting to watch the show.

Even the system got excited.
Its host was finally following the plot!

Shen Yuqing stepped back and crossed his arms.
“Untie him.”

The two lackeys quickly undid the ropes.
But they stood close behind him, ready to hold him down again if needed.

Song Wangzhuo clenched his fists tightly, burning with anger—
but there was nothing he could do.

Shen Yuqing was a beta, yes.
But the others were real alphas.
Even though their mental power was weaker, they had numbers on their side.
He couldn’t fight them off, which is how he ended up here.

He had no power, no backing.
Every step he took was like walking on thin ice.

Song Wangzhuo looked up again, coldly staring at Shen Yuqing.
Fine, if this is how it is, he wouldn’t keep holding back.

He seemed to make up his mind.

Lowering his head slightly, he slowly unbuttoned his school jacket, one button at a time.
Then came the shirt underneath.

At last, he was down to a sleeveless white vest—
his well-toned muscles clearly visible.

It was obvious he trained regularly.

Song Wangzhuo tensed again, eyes like a hawk as he watched Shen Yuqing walk toward him.

One step.
Two steps.
Three…

“Slap!”

Shen Yuqing smacked his shoulder hard and shouted angrily:
“I knew it!
You brat!
You’ve been secretly working out and didn’t even tell us?!”

System: …not surprised anymore.
