Siwoo had come after hitting Taebeom’s head with a flower vase.
He had worried whether a mere ceramic vase could knock Taebeom out, but he collapsed immediately. Blood even flowed from his split forehead.
Had his body weakened even after receiving guiding? Siwoo put his confusion aside, laid Taebeom down, and sought help from the secretary. Though his phone was broken, he could contact them via pager.
The secretary promptly called a teleport Esper. Thanks to this, Siwoo was able to arrive at the scene without delay. He left Kang Taebeom to the secretary. He’s still an Esper, so he wouldn’t die just from getting his head cracked a bit by a vase, right?
“Stop shaking so much, man.”
Siwoo continued guiding while constantly massaging the youngest member’s trembling shoulders. His large body shook so much it made Siwoo dizzy.
Seeing Seojun shedding tears to the point of quickly soaking his shoulder made Siwoo’s heart ache. Having already faced the leader who had vomited blood, he calmly dealt with the blood staining Seojun’s mouth. He wasn’t flustered at all by Seojun’s appearance, which could be mistaken for a monster. Though he hesitated at the smell, he soon adapted.
He could hear the teleport Esper who had brought him to the scene dry heaving from afar. If you’re going to be like that, just leave. Siwoo glared at him while patting Seojun’s back, which was oozing fluid.
There was a large wing attached to the heaving back. So his original form was a bird.
Siwoo simply accepted that Seojun was a bird since he had wings. Although there was only one wing and it had no feathers, exposing pink skin, the hook-shaped claws reminded him of an eagle.
Strangely, Seojun’s lower body remained the same. His left hand still retained human form, and his face hadn’t changed much except for scales and blackened eyes. It seems he wasn’t in his complete form.
“Ugh.”
Siwoo groaned as he adjusted his position to hug Seojun tighter. When his buttocks touched the ground, an unspeakable pain hit him.
Hearing Siwoo’s groan, Seojun hesitated and suddenly raised his head.
Siwoo glanced at Seojun while clenching his sore lower region. The youngest member’s face, covered in tears, looked unfamiliar.
“Can you see me?”
He wondered if he was reflected in those eyes that had turned so black that the whites weren’t visible. Fortunately, Seojun’s heartbeat was quickly calming down. The guiding was being steadily absorbed.
“I asked if you can see me.”
Seojun shook his head slightly. Siwoo was relieved that although he couldn’t see, he could understand words. Siwoo touched Seojun’s eyes, indicating that he would be alright soon.
At this, tears welled up in Seojun’s eyes again. His tightened lips also trembled finely.
Siwoo, who hadn’t been flustered by Seojun’s appearance, was dumbfounded by his crying face. Not knowing what to say, he opened and closed his mouth before simply hugging him tightly. He firmly embraced Seojun’s head, indicating for him to lean on his shoulder.
Siwoo did his best to guide within his capabilities. He was frustrated that he couldn’t exert much strength, having already had his energy drained by the leader.
“Leader’s scent…”
Just as Siwoo was thinking about Taebeom, Seojun mentioned him as if reading his mind. Could the scent have rubbed off? Siwoo pretended not to hear and focused only on guiding. The Esper’s sense of smell suddenly felt terrifyingly acute.
Seojun rested his nose tip on Siwoo’s neck and took a deep breath. After repeating deep breaths several times, his vision gradually cleared.
Seojun, with half-lowered eyes, stared at the red mark on the white neck. The clearer he saw the distinct bite mark, the more his focus sharpened. His hands also quickly returned to their original form. It was the power of excellent guiding.
Siwoo glared at Seojun’s suddenly wriggling wing. As the wing retreated into his back, Seojun’s body stiffened. It seemed quite painful as he even gasped for breath.
Siwoo stroked the back of Seojun’s head and released more guiding. There was nothing else he could do. Nothing could be more desperate for an Esper.
“Let’s go to the medical center. Can you move?”
He tried to seek help from the teleport Esper, but he was nowhere to be seen. He seemed to have fled after seeing Seojun.
What’s the big deal? It’s just a uniquely shaped bird.
“Guide.”
Siwoo immediately responded with a “Hm?” to Seojun’s faint voice. Although he seemed to have almost returned to human form, his pronunciation was a bit slurred. He must still be in pain.
“I’m cold.”
“You’re cold?”
Siwoo tilted his head and examined the body that was still shaking. As he dusted off the body that was covered in dirt from crawling on the ground, Seojun hunched his shoulders even more.
“Are you very cold?”
Siwoo worriedly expanded his meager body to embrace Seojun. He wanted to take off his clothes to give him, but all he had on was a single shirt.
“Wait a bit. I’ll call Jihan.”
“I called him. He should be on his way.”
Seojun continued to mumble with slurred speech. Despite his slurred speech, his focus was clear. His gaze was fixed on Siwoo’s lower body, which was sitting awkwardly.
Siwoo sat with his legs bent like someone uncomfortable down below. Seeing this, a shallow crease formed between Seojun’s brows.
“I smell, don’t I?”
He asked, resting his eyes on Siwoo’s forehead. Siwoo, who had been diligently rubbing Seojun’s back and shoulders, answered without hesitation.
“No, you don’t.”
Seojun’s lips moved slightly before he wrapped his arms around Siwoo’s waist. Thanks to wearing only a thin shirt, the slender waist could be felt vividly.
“Really?”
“Yeah. You just smell of sweat.”
Siwoo told him to shut up and just receive the guiding. He felt so sorry for Seojun, who was trembling like a frightened puppy, that his tongue felt bitter.
The image of him shouting at people to run away, not realizing he was the only one left, flashed in his mind. It seemed like a scene he wouldn’t forget for quite a while.
Those bastards. How could they leave a kid like this alone?
Ha Seojun felt more like the youngest member than ever before. He knew he was young, but seeing his crying face made his young age even more apparent. He was just a big kid, still afraid of many things inside. A young man who had just become an adult a little over a year ago.
“Why are you so wet?”
“What, huh?”
Siwoo, who had been patting Seojun’s back, paused. He hadn’t noticed Seojun’s hand moving between his legs, as he was concentrating all his senses on guiding.
“It’s damp here.”
Seojun, who had suddenly pressed the inner thigh, closed his half-lidded eyes and then opened them. Siwoo’s pants were wet. Not all over, just around the crotch area.
“D-don’t touch.”
Siwoo, who had raised his knees, tried to stand up. Then Seojun, who had wrapped one arm around Siwoo’s waist, clung to him. As if telling him not to go, he rested his cheek on Siwoo’s chest and looked up at him.
Usually, it was Siwoo who looked up at him. Now that their positions were reversed with Seojun looking up at him, Siwoo felt strange.
“I spilled water.”
Although he was surprised by the sudden touch on his thigh, he decided to let it slide. He might not be in his right mind, considering he seemed fine at a glance but had been on the verge of going berserk.
“Stay still.”
He hugged Seojun again while still sitting with his knees raised. He quite liked looking down at the biggest guy in the guild.
“Hey, hands.”
When he pointed out the hand sneaking down to his buttocks again, the heavy arm quickly moved back up. These Espers just never let you drop your guard.
“Guide.”
“What now.”
“I’m dizzy.”
Before Siwoo could ask further, his body tilted to one side. Seojun fell back with a thud, tightly hugging Siwoo.
“Hey! Are you okay?!”
Startled, Siwoo hurriedly cupped Seojun’s face. The guy who was already in bad shape had fallen head first. He couldn’t afford to lose it even more here.
“Are you okay? Huh? You’re alright, right?”
Seojun just stared up at Siwoo. Judging by the focus in his eyes, he didn’t seem to have lost it yet.
“Shall I suck it?”
Maybe not. Has he lost it?
As Siwoo made a bewildered face, Seojun raised one knee. He wedged his knee between Siwoo’s thighs while making an innocent expression.
“Your pants. They’re very wet.”
“That’s fine! Put your leg down!”
Siwoo slapped Seojun’s raised knee. Still, Seojun didn’t lower his knee. Instead, he raised it even higher, making Siwoo’s body jerk.
“I can clean this well.”
Although I ruined the mouse doll. With this soft whisper, Seojun’s eyes slowly closed. As his eyelids covered his eyes, the hand wrapped around Siwoo’s waist also lost strength.
“Ha Seojun?”
Seeing Seojun’s limbs spread out, Siwoo shook him. But no matter how much he called, Seojun’s eyes didn’t open.
He really wasn’t in his right mind, it seems.
Siwoo diligently wiped Seojun’s face, which was covered in sweat and tears. While continuing to guide, his head suddenly turned to the side.
Only then did he notice the wolf that had collapsed far away from Seojun. Its fur was so black that it hadn’t caught his eye earlier.
The wolf’s mouth, lying down with its long tongue hanging out, was also soaked in blood. Could it be… dead?
Siwoo gulped before narrowing his eyes and then breathing a sigh of relief.
He detected a faint wavelength from the wolf. It seemed his head had turned in response to that energy.
The wolf beastkin was alive. The fact that the wavelength hadn’t disappeared was proof that it was still breathing.
Siwoo stood up without even having time to be surprised that he could read an Esper’s wavelength. He couldn’t just leave the blood-soaked wolf there.
