Siwoo’s eyes flew open at the sound of the barracks door opening, and he forcefully pushed Seojun away. Seojun, pushed back without resistance, merely licked his lips without bothering to wipe the saliva from his mouth.
Only Siwoo seemed flustered, wiping his mouth vigorously as he looked at Geonho, who was holding the doorknob. It felt like only a few minutes had passed, yet he had returned so quickly.
“D-Did you finish already?”
Geonho, standing silently at the door, nodded faintly. Or maybe he just lowered his head.
He slowly closed the door and remained standing in the same spot. Then he glared at Seojun, who was sitting at the edge of the bed.
“What’s your reading?”
Instead of cursing, an unexpected question came from Geonho’s mouth. Siwoo watched the situation nervously, worried that Geonho might hit Seojun. He couldn’t relax, knowing how intensely jealous Geonho was about guiding.
“It’s stable,” Seojun said, taking out his phone to check his wave reading. His already low wave had stabilized even more thanks to Siwoo’s mucosal guiding.
“You heard that, Han Siwoo. He says it’s stable.”
Geonho’s gaze returned to Siwoo. While Siwoo blinked in confusion, Geonho lifted him with his psychic power, suspending him in the air.
“Hey, maknae. Take the bed and get out.”
“Take the bed?”
Seojun tilted his head, genuinely perplexed. Feeling Geonho’s fierce gaze, Siwoo wriggled his feet and told Seojun to just hurry and take it out. Siwoo also felt the bed was dangerous.
Seojun finally stood up, lifting the bed while watching Siwoo’s feet flapping towards him. Carrying the king-size bed as if it were a bag, he approached Geonho instead of the barracks door.
“I begged him to do it,” Seojun said, his expression quite serious, having dropped his usual gentle smile.
“So don’t say anything to Guide-nim.”
His furrowed brows conveyed his determination not to leave without an answer. Geonho silently observed Seojun for a moment, then raised his hand.
“Don’t hit him!” Siwoo shouted.
“I won’t,” Geonho replied simultaneously. He wasn’t in a hitting stance to begin with.
“Hey, Ha Seojun.”
Geonho narrowed the distance, placing his hand on the maknae’s shoulder. His eyes warned against nonsense. He lowered Seojun’s eye level by pressing down on the tall Seojun’s shoulders.
“I care about Han Siwoo more than you do.”
Speaking in a low, warning tone, he kicked Seojun’s behind with his knee, chasing him out the door. He also threw the bed out along with him.
If he was going to send him away anyway, he could have done it nicely. Siwoo, still floating in the air, looked down at Geonho with a disapproving expression. Still, he was relieved that Geonho hadn’t made as much of a scene as he had worried about.
“Want me to keep you floating?”
Geonho approached Siwoo, who was comfortably lying in mid-air, and chuckled. His expression quickly brightened, seemingly pleased that Siwoo had grown accustomed to his psychic power.
Instead of answering, Siwoo narrowed his eyes sharply, wearing a reproachful expression.
“He would have left on his own if you’d left him alone. Why kick his behind?”
“Why not kick it.”
Geonho replied matter-of-factly, using his power to lift Siwoo a bit higher.
“I kicked it in case he was eyeing your behind.”
That damn behind again.
Siwoo frowned deeply, swinging his arm as if to hit Geonho. Even though he had brought it up first, he was still angry.
“Pucker up. Let’s get you hit a bit today.”
Geonho willingly offered his lips, pulling Siwoo in for an embrace. As soon as Siwoo’s feet touched the ground, he immediately punched Geonho in the mouth. Geonho didn’t dodge the fist connecting with his lips.
“Han Siwoo.”
After letting Siwoo hit him until he felt better, Geonho lowered his voice again, setting the mood.
“Please keep your promise.”
“What promise?”
Siwoo stood on Geonho’s feet, pressing down hard as he looked up at him. All he had done at the scene was guide Seojun. He hadn’t broken any promises. He didn’t even know what promise Geonho was talking about.
“We agreed you wouldn’t do guiding in bed unless it was a dangerous situation.”
Siwoo’s blue eyes wavered slightly. Did I make such a promise?
“I don’t know. I don’t remember.”
“Then let’s promise from now on. Say you won’t do it.”
“You’ve already thrown away the bed anyway.”
The situation had become such that he couldn’t do it, promise or not. Siwoo walked confidently to the sofa and sat down with his shoulders squared. His glare at Geonho seemed to say, I didn’t do anything wrong, so you figure out how to improve your mood.
Geonho quietly sat down next to Siwoo without being clingy anymore. He spread his arm wide, acting as a pillow for Siwoo’s neck.
As Geonho’s arm touched his nape, Siwoo naturally began guiding. He tried to stabilize Geonho’s waves after killing all those monsters. But this terrifying guy’s condition was so normal, it was hard to believe he had just used his ability.
“Aren’t you tired?”
The question Siwoo should have asked came from Geonho’s mouth. Siwoo, caught off guard, looked at Geonho with an incredulous expression.
“What have I done to be tired?”
“You worked. Guiding.”
Geonho nodded towards where the bed had been and asked back.
“Didn’t you do guiding?”
His eyes seemed to be asking why else they would have been sucking and licking each other. Siwoo admitted that he had indeed done guiding before he got really tired.
“I didn’t do enough to get tired.”
They had only done it for a few minutes at most. If he got tired from just that, he’d have to give up being a guide.
“Still, don’t overdo it.”
Geonho massaged Siwoo’s shoulders, pushing away the guiding that was clinging to his body. Even Siwoo thought Geonho didn’t seem to need guiding right now.
But I still want to do it. Well, if he says it’s okay.
As his strength gradually drained from the sensation of his shoulders being kneaded with just the right pressure, Siwoo sat comfortably and withdrew his guiding. At this, a smile spread across Geonho’s face.
“How’s our barracks? Anything uncomfortable?”
“No. It’s like a hotel room.”
“That’s good.”
Geonho smiled warmly and rested his head on Siwoo’s shoulder.
He treated the bony, hard shoulder as if it were a soft pillow. Siwoo left Geonho alone as he tickled his shoulder with the tip of his nose, only reading Geonho’s waves.
Geonho’s waves were as stable as the maknae’s. They were so excessively calm, it was as if he had taken medication. Even right after using his ability.
“You smell like hyung.”
Geonho, rubbing his nose against Siwoo’s white neck, suddenly muttered.
“What…?”
Siwoo blinked rapidly as he looked at Geonho. Because Geonho’s head was resting on his shoulder, he couldn’t see his expression properly.
“I said you smell like our hyung.”
Geonho calmly murmured, rubbing the tip of his nose against the spot where the band-aid was. It was the spot that particularly smelled of his brother.
“But I showered…”
Siwoo sniffed his own arm, looking embarrassed. He found himself looking away as he recalled what he had done with Geonho’s brother. Even though it wasn’t ordinary sex but guiding, he still felt awkward. He was also worried that Geonho might get upset again.
“I’m not saying I don’t like it, just that you do.”
Siwoo was even more flustered by Geonho’s nonchalant tone that followed. Did this guy take something? Geonho’s unusually calm attitude was just strange.
Geonho grinned at Siwoo, who was looking at him oddly, and leaned against him again.
“You told me not to be jealous.”
Geonho had promised Siwoo. After the day he had broken down the door and barged in during Jihan’s guiding. He swore he would never let jealousy blind him and interfere with guiding again.
“I keep my promises well. I don’t forget them either.”
Geonho’s voice, resonating from Siwoo’s shoulder, grew lower and lower. Siwoo’s expression, which had been curious about Geonho’s reactions, gradually settled.
“Because I’m stupid. If you tell me just one thing, I’ll live my whole life looking only at that.”
Siwoo, who had been blinking quietly, lowered his head towards Geonho. He grabbed Geonho’s chin, forcing him to lift his face to check his expression.
“Did something happen?”
He wore an expression similar to his usual one. He didn’t look particularly sad, nor was he pretending to be overly bright. But somehow, his voice seemed sad.
“Who called you stupid? Did someone insult you?”
Geonho shook his head, laughing lightly. He spread Siwoo’s fingers apart and interlaced them deeply, their roots touching. Then he made Siwoo make a new promise.
“Just stay by our side.”
“…”
“Don’t leave. Don’t suddenly disappear alone.”
His low voice resembled that of his brother. With the added calmness he didn’t usually have, he became even more similar to Kang Taebeom.
“Swear that you absolutely won’t do that.”
“That won’t happen.”
Siwoo gazed intently into Geonho’s red eyes, as if trying to grasp them with his hands. Although he didn’t know the reason, he could feel that Geonho was anxious right now.
“I’ll swear.”
Kang Geonho always swore on his brother. Siwoo had nothing of his own to swear on. So he just made a promise.
“Don’t worry.”
Siwoo, who had been looking deeply at the downcast Geonho, suddenly grabbed his wrist. Then he vigorously rubbed his neck with Geonho’s large palm.
He was imprinting Geonho’s scent on his body. Taebeom’s energy wasn’t erased, but Geonho’s body scent mixed in faintly. Siwoo, not being an Esper, couldn’t detect such a subtle change.
“Do I smell like you now?”
Thinking this should be enough, he asked as he released Geonho’s hand. He hoped this would improve Geonho’s mood a little. Judging by his expression, it seemed to have worked.
Geonho burst into laughter. His characteristic refreshing laughter made the corners of Siwoo’s mouth twitch in response.
Siwoo laughed along with Geonho, holding his hand and rubbing it against his neck a bit more. After laughing to their hearts’ content, they spent a comfortable time massaging each other’s shoulders and arms.
Feeling cozy in the hotel-like atmosphere, Siwoo yawned briefly. He tried to avoid Geonho’s hand attempting to close his eyelids but eventually succumbed to sleep.
“I’m going to sleep for just 5 minutes.”
“Okay, you can sleep longer.”
Geonho hugged Siwoo warmly as he closed his eyes, insisting he would sleep for only 5 minutes. As soon as Siwoo closed his eyes, Geonho’s head turned towards the door.
The moment he narrowed his eyes, the presence of someone standing outside the door vanished in an instant. It was the wave of an Esper so faint that even Seojun hadn’t sensed it at all.
Even Siwoo, a guide with good instincts, hadn’t detected the presence of someone eavesdropping on their conversation. Only Geonho had noticed.
