When he opened his eyes again, he was on a bed in the treatment room.
“Yeo Eun-jo!”
With a dazed gaze, Eun-jo stared at the two men rushing toward him. It seemed a full day hadn’t passed, because both of them were still dressed exactly as he’d last seen them.
“Does your head hurt? Should I bring your doctor?”
“Do you remember who I am?”
“How old are you, Yeo Eun-jo? You’re not in elementary school or some shit this time, are you?”
Questions poured out all at once. Eun-jo looked back and forth between the two men holding his arms.
“……”
After a moment of silence, Eun-jo finally parted his lips.
“Ahjussi……..”
At the low voice, Jin Mu-seong’s eyebrow twitched. Instead of answering, he quietly stared at his Guide’s face.
His persistent gaze clung to him. After staring for a long while, Jin Mu-seong’s expression softened. It was the look of someone who had realized something.
“Yeah, baby.”
Smiling brightly, he moved closer to Eun-jo. The moment he came within reach, Eun-jo grabbed him by the collar.
“Are you insane?”
Eun-jo, who had been wearing an innocent expression, suddenly crumpled his face and shook him hard by the collar.
“Do you want to die? What, an affair?”
“……”
“In bed it’s ahjussi, and in front of my husband it’s Jin Mu-seong-ssi? Why don’t you answer me?”
Along with his memories, everything that had happened until now came back clearly. His head hurt, but he forgot the pain as anger tightened his skull and resentment burst up inside him. Remembering how he’d agonized between the two of them made him want to rip both men’s hair out right then and there.
Even as his throat was being choked, Jin Mu-seong wore a relaxed expression and wrapped his hand around the back of Eun-jo’s. His fingers slid between Eun-jo’s.
“It’s true nothing burns hotter than an affair.”
“You crazy bastard, to an eighteen-year-old, seriously!”
Jung Tae-seok, who had been frozen until then, clasped Eun-jo’s other hand.
“You, you…….”
He sprang to his feet and pulled Eun-jo’s hand toward himself. Only then did Eun-jo, who had been shaking Jin Mu-seong by the collar the whole time, turn to look at Jung Tae-seok.
“You remembered? Everything’s back now?”
“I remember.”
Eun-jo grabbed Jung Tae-seok by the collar too and clenched his teeth.
“Even how you made me call you hyung.”
The face that had looked so pleased whenever he called him Tae-seok hyung, and the shameless way he’d explained that he was his husband, were vivid in his mind. So was the way he’d shown him around the house, calling it their newlywed home.
The sense of betrayal made his head spin. When he’d begged, saying he had no one but hyung, that had been one thing. But what the hell……. Eun-jo tightened his grip on both men’s collars.
“You always called Yeo Eun-jo hyung. But what, Tae-seok hyung?”
“Hyung was the one who lost his memories and left me behind first.”
Like an affectionate puppy, Jung Tae-seok leaned his head against the back of Eun-jo’s hand and muttered.
“And then you went and collapsed in the bathroom again.”
“That was!”
Over Jung Tae-seok’s head, his eyes met Jin Mu-seong’s. If he said he’d been rubbing against that affair partner in the emergency stairwell, all hell would break loose. Having regained all his memories, Eun-jo was wise, and he immediately clamped his mouth shut.
“……It was a mistake. I just got dizzy for a second.”
“Then you should’ve gone to the hospital.”
Tilting his head, Jung Tae-seok glared at Eun-jo. Even if he’d enjoyed playing around with the whole hyung thing, his eyes were red, as if he’d been terribly worried all this time.
“You should’ve lied down and said you were sick. At the very least, you should’ve gone to the Center, or gotten examined right there!”
“……”
“I thought you’d lost your memories completely, and I…….!”
Jung Tae-seok, who had been shouting sharply, buried his head again. His hand gripping Eun-jo trembled.
“You’re seriously so annoying.”
His sulky voice leaked out. Having instantly missed his timing to get angry, Eun-jo let out an awkward little hum.
Who was the one getting excited over being called hyung? Even as he thought that, Eun-jo’s hand was faithfully stroking his hair. The person who had probably worried the most was Jung Tae-seok. Even after the misunderstanding about him having a fatal illness had been cleared up, he’d remained obsessed with Eun-jo’s health.
“I won’t do that again.”
“……”
“If I’m hurt, I’ll go to the hospital first. I won’t collapse somewhere.”
“Liar.”
……Not collapsing somewhere might be difficult. After being worked over until morning, he could barely put strength into his legs.
Smiling awkwardly, Eun-jo cupped Jung Tae-seok’s cheek. When he slowly turned him toward himself, Jung Tae-seok obediently looked at him.
“Tae-seok hyung.”
Looking into his widened eyes, Eun-jo curved his eyes in a smile.
“I won’t do that again. Okay?”
“Fuck…….”
Foxy bastard. Even though he could see right through the trick, his chest still lurched. Muttering a curse, Jung Tae-seok wrapped his arms around Eun-jo’s waist.
“Fuck, just try losing your memories again, Yeo Eun-jo……. Fuck…….”
Muttering it like a chant, he pressed his head forward as if trying to burrow into Eun-jo’s body. Holding that large body that was difficult to fully embrace, Eun-jo smiled softly. If “fuck” came out twice, that meant he had mostly calmed down.
Jin Mu-seong, who had been watching the two of them, also pulled Eun-jo’s head into his arms.
“Congratulations on coming back.”
Then, so Jung Tae-seok wouldn’t see, he stole a very quick, light kiss from him. He didn’t forget to lightly bite his lower lip either.
“You……!”
“Since I’d rather be the lawful wife too.”
His eyes curved gently.
Caught between the two men, Eun-jo let out a deep breath. He embraced them both as much as he could and closed his eyes.
Only then did it feel as if he had returned home. He knew he would no longer be lost, and that this was where he belonged.
Their breathing mingled together.
It was a peaceful day.
