The brightly lit hotel room had lost some of its earlier ambiance, but it still carried the afterglow of a private after-party.

Cha-hyeon, who’d been acting like a doting, playful lover all evening, didn’t change even after accepting the proposal. He filmed the room with his phone, then turned off the lights and filmed again. He snapped photos of the prettily wrapped presents, of Se-min fumbling awkwardly in front of the camera, and even captured himself making faces in selfie mode.

Thanks to him, the red flush in Se-min’s earlobes refused to fade.

It wasn’t an exaggeration—Cha-hyeon took literally hundreds of photos and videos before finally ordering a bottle of wine and a few light snacks from room service. Naturally, he even took a picture of the wine after the hotel staff elegantly set it up on the table.

Embarrassing as it was, seeing the person he loved like this made Se-min quietly content. The proposal had gone perfectly, Cha-hyeon was happy, and everything felt like it had fallen into place. The world looked beautiful.

“This is so nice. Can I open the gifts now?”

Cha-hyeon tapped the silver star-shaped charm hanging from the shopping bag as he asked. Se-min, who had just finished pouring wine into their glasses, nodded.

“Of course.”

“Ooh, I can’t wait.”

He’d poured most of his attention into choosing the wristwatch instead of a ring, but every other gift had also been carefully picked with Cha-hyeon in mind. With a fluttering heart, Se-min watched as Cha-hyeon, letting out cute little noises, began unwrapping the largest present first.

“A backpack?”

Cha-hyeon smiled brightly, his eyes curving into crescent moons. Se-min had thought it would suit him when he saw it in the store, and now that Cha-hyeon had it on, it really did look like it was made just for him. The bag, though dark in color, had an embossed logo that gave it a subtle touch of flair—it matched Cha-hyeon’s style perfectly.

Of course, after checking himself out in the mirror, Cha-hyeon resumed his endless photo spree. He took pictures of the bag, then unwrapped the tie and belt to photograph those too. At this rate, he was determined to fill up his entire phone gallery tonight.

Once he’d finally taken enough shots to satisfy himself, Cha-hyeon flopped down on the sofa. Sitting beside Se-min, he lifted his wine glass.

“Thank you, Se-min. I’m so happy I don’t know what to do with myself.”

“I’ll keep you happy. Always.”

Still clinging to his pride, Se-min spoke with conviction. Cha-hyeon, hiding a smile with his fingertips, lifted his glass slightly higher.

Se-min raised his as well. As their glasses clinked together with a clear, ringing chime, the sound echoed softly through the room. The wine had a pleasant sweetness that even Se-min—no expert when it came to alcohol—could appreciate.

“Haah…”

Exhaling a breath laced with wine, Se-min sank into the couch like he was melting into it. Only now did he finally feel himself relax.

Feeling loose and lazy, he slowly inched his way over toward Cha-hyeon under his gaze, eventually leaning against him. As he settled in, he murmured quietly:

“This feels like a dream.”

“But I’m the one who got proposed to. You can’t be saying that first.”

Still, in his effort to make Cha-hyeon feel like the happiest and most special person in the world, Se-min had ended up feeling just as happy and just as special. All it took was a single proposal to have Se-min crafting his own brand of romantic philosophy.

“You must’ve planned a lot for this.”

“Maybe a little?”

Se-min let out a bashful smile. The time he spent thinking about how to make Cha-hyeon smile hadn’t felt like a burden, but he wasn’t sure he could do it again.

Still… he’d done it. The proposal had been a success. Smiling to himself, Se-min took another sip of wine.

“If it had been me, I don’t think I could’ve pulled it off this well. My husband’s really something.”

Cha-hyeon, sounding like he was teasing or flirting, nudged Se-min’s head with his cheek. Startled, Se-min flinched.

…Husband.

That’s right. Since Cha-hyeon had accepted the proposal, once they signed the marriage registration, they’d be legally married. He was going to become Cha-hyeon’s husband.

Se-min tried to suppress the grin creeping up his face. With a small cough, he took another sip of wine, unable to hide just how giddy he was. For some reason, his throat was dry.

Cha-hyeon chuckled softly and drank as well. From the snack tray, he picked up a green grape and popped it into Se-min’s mouth. Then he murmured, almost to himself:

“Then we’ll register our marriage next.”

“Yeah.”

“Start house-hunting.”

“Yeah.”

“We’ll need to look at furniture and appliances too. Maybe do some renovations.”

“Right…”

Se-min answered with slightly slurred words as he chewed the grape. They were just talking through the obvious next steps, but even so, his heart thumped in his chest. Even though none of it was new information.

“We’ve gotta go on a honeymoon too. When should we go?”

“…Honeymoon?”

Se-min blinked up at him, eyes wide like a startled rabbit. Cha-hyeon responded as if it were obvious.

“Even if we don’t have a wedding, we’ve still got to go on a honeymoon. Maybe after the move, once everything’s sorted out? Unless you want to go right away?”

Se-min, who’d only been thinking about sealing the deal with the marriage registration after pulling off the proposal, felt his heart race even faster.

Right. Why hadn’t he thought about the honeymoon? He had a habit of getting tunnel vision, focusing on one thing at a time—but still, it was surprising that it hadn’t crossed his mind.

Maybe skipping the ceremony had made him forget the honeymoon usually came as a pair.

It’s not that I didn’t want to elope, he thought. I just didn’t think that far ahead.

He nodded slowly and gave his thoughts.

“Going right now might be a bit rushed. It’d be better to wait until everything’s in order, make a plan. We’d have to look up flights and hotels anyway. And like you said, there’s a lot to handle… Oh, and I’d need to apply for leave in advance, right?”

“I was thinking of taking a full leave of absence so we could go for a long trip.”

Cha-hyeon shrugged and took another sip. A full leave of absence? Just how long does he want this honeymoon to be?

Se-min blinked, then slowly turned to look at him.

“Well… we can talk about that later.”

He decided to shelve the discussion. Rather than sorting out all the details of their future here and now, it felt more important to enjoy this moment—this once-in-a-lifetime moment. They could make plans later, when things settled down.

“Yeah. Let’s do that later. We’ve got something more important to focus on right now, right?”

More important?

Repeating Cha-hyeon’s words in his head, Se-min slowly registered the implication. Cha-hyeon’s eyebrows lifted in amusement.

Se-min’s gaze drifted toward the bag they’d brought with them—the one they’d packed just in case. The wine had made his stomach feel even warmer.

“…There’s still a lot of wine left.”

Cha-hyeon let out a soft chuckle, understanding him immediately. Setting down his empty glass, he leaned close and whispered like a secret:

“Then let’s drink. The night’s still young.”

***

“Ugh, ngh, haah…”

Eyes half-lidded and hazy with pleasure, Se-min paused as he moved atop Cha-hyeon. He’d already climaxed several times. Just having that thick cock buried deep inside him was enough to make his wine-drunk body feel sluggish, like cotton soaked in water.

His cheeks, flushed from both alcohol and sex, burned red as he let out a shaky breath. Heat simmered low in his belly, and his head spun. It wasn’t just from the pleasure—it was everything.

Cha-hyeon’s face was similarly flushed as he watched Se-min move above him, hands still holding him close by the waist. Se-min’s delicate skin was already mottled with red, marred by Cha-hyeon’s handprints.

Swallowing the wine-flavored saliva in his mouth, Se-min looked down at the wrist gripping his waist. Even after all this time tangled up naked together, Cha-hyeon was still wearing the wristwatch he’d given him. That one little thing, wrapped around his wrist, fed a deep, satisfying sense of possessiveness.

“The watch.”

Grinning like a fool, Se-min’s cheeks puffed out. Normally, he wouldn’t have said it aloud. But after half a bottle of strong wine and intense sex, the filters were gone. Everything came spilling out.

“The one I gave you.”

“Yeah. The one you gave me.”

While Se-min’s words were starting to slur, Cha-hyeon’s voice stayed steady as ever. But Se-min, drunkenly giddy, just grinned and curled up in his arms. The alcohol made him more emotional, more intense—both in words and in touch.

“Yup. I gave it to you. You have to wear it all the time now… ngh… got it?”

Se-min, his body flushed with heat, wrapped his arms around Cha-hyeon’s neck and started moving his hips again—slowly this time. A low chuckle rumbled from Cha-hyeon, brushing warm air against his ear. Se-min buried his face in his shoulder, clenching around him and whispering:

“Hm? Did you hear me?”

The slow grind, strong and deliberate, had Cha-hyeon letting out a groan and furrowing his brows—before his mouth stretched into a wide grin.

“Yeah, yeah. I’ll make sure they cremate me with it when I die.”

“Ugh, seriously…”

Annoyed, Se-min bit down hard on Cha-hyeon’s shoulder. He wouldn’t have done it sober, but drunk Se-min didn’t hold back.

“Ow.”

“I told you not to say shit like that. You wanna die for real?”

Cha-hyeon burst out laughing. Sure, it was ironic to threaten someone for joking about death, but Se-min didn’t want to hear anything like that today—not even as a joke. Not on the happiest day of his life.

“Okay, okay. I’m sorry.”

Even though he’d apologized, Se-min bit him again—this time just for fun. The way Cha-hyeon’s firm, muscled skin gave under his teeth was oddly satisfying.

“Why are you nibbling me like that? You teething or something?”

It was the kind of thing you’d say to a baby or a puppy. If he were sober, Se-min would’ve glared and stopped. But in his current state, he just kept gnawing away at Cha-hyeon’s shoulder like it was the best toy in the world.
