Stalkerizing – Chapter 75

[Guild] Oath’s Vow: Of course, considering what he did…

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Honestly, I feel a bit conflicted too.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: I only came because Inseong said it was okay, but, you know, human decency and all… ㅜ

“Ah…”

Yeah, I was wondering when this topic would come up.

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: I mean, sure, Inseong has a trash personality, acts all high and mighty, and looks down on people… but he’s good at the game!

[Guild] Furple: So just tacking on a compliment at the end makes it all okay?

[Guild] Shokrates: The guild leader isn’t coming? Why? I thought it was because he was pissed about Inseong deceiving him and deliberately didn’t invite him???

[Guild] Freedeal: That’s exactly it, so shut up.

[Guild] Shokrates: Got it ㅜ

Sa-yoon scratched the corner of his eye as he read the chat. The situation was more complicated than that.

Sa-yoon hated Killer. The guy had been terrorizing his guestbook non-stop until just recently, bombarding him with invites even when he knew full well that Sa-yoon was in the middle of a ranked battleground last season. Even when Sa-yoon said no, Killer just kept pushing, acting like an impenetrable wall, forcing his way in just to satisfy his own desires.

And during the final stretch of the season, when the rankings were fierce? The sheer hell he had gone through because of him. Even now, just remembering it made his blood boil.

But 44? 44 was fine.

He was like an annoying little brother, always following Sa-yoon around calling him Hyung, which was kind of cute. Despite having zero fashion sense, he was strangely obsessed with in-game aesthetics, constantly coming up with bizarre outfit combinations that were hilarious.

And beyond that, they had spent so much time together that Sa-yoon had grown fond of him. 44 had helped him out a lot with various things.

And yet, they were the same person.

If Killer had shown up under his actual name, Sa-yoon wouldn’t have hesitated to block him on the spot and never deal with him again.

But ignoring him completely and blocking him now felt uncomfortable after all the help he had received. On the other hand, pretending nothing had happened and just getting along like before made all the stress Killer had caused him feel like a massive weight pressing down on his chest.

“If only I hadn’t accepted his help…”

Even though he had always believed that there was no such thing as a favor without a reason, when the situation actually hit, he had been too complacent. Life never went the way he expected.

Regardless, the guild members—unaware of Sa-yoon’s inner turmoil—were busy sugarcoating Killer’s objectively terrible personality.

[Guild] Freedeal: Love him or hate him, he is our guild leader. This is why they say even bad blood sticks.

[Guild] Furple: Honestly, I didn’t think the guild leader would let him come.

[Guild] Oath’s Vow: It does feel weird without him. You don’t notice when someone’s around, but you sure do when they’re gone.

Of course, since his personality was so lacking, the attempts to make him look good weren’t exactly succeeding.

Truthfully, Sa-yoon had never planned to invite everyone except Killer. The reason he hadn’t allowed him to join up until now was simple—he was still pissed and wanted Killer to suffer for a bit.

But now that he had decided to accept help from the Reaper Guild, bringing Killer into his own guild was inevitable. He just hadn’t figured out his stance on it yet.

His fingers, which had been rubbing his temple hard enough to redden his skin, tapped lightly on the mouse. Alright, fine.

He hadn’t intended to cut ties completely in the first place, and like it or not, they’d be stuck seeing each other for the next month until the siege war.

[Guild] Chasa: Should I invite him now?

[Guild] Freedeal: Gasp! Chasa, are you sure about this?

[Guild] Chasa: Yeah, whatever.

What was there not to be sure about? Whether Killer joined the guild or not, that bastard would still be lingering in his line of sight, irritating him either way.

As the guild chat buzzed, the practically naked male character standing behind Chasa didn’t move an inch. At this point, Killer should’ve been reacting somehow—maybe spamming emotes to express himself, assuming he’d been blocked. But nothing. Was he AFK?

Since Sa-yoon had been typing in chat instead of moving his character, Chasa’s avatar automatically shifted into a standby pose, resting his weight on one leg.

Divine characters had idle animations when left alone—crossing their arms, drawing their weapons for inspection, and similar gestures. But if a certain class was within range, an interactive idle animation would trigger.

Demon Hunters and Warlocks, being natural enemies, had a built-in rivalry interaction.

Look who finally decided to show their ugly face.

Out on another one of your wretched hunts? How pitiful.

When the Warlock pointed an accusatory finger, the Hunter was supposed to respond with a sneer and raise his fist in mock intimidation.

But the moment the Hunter lifted his fist, Killer took a small step back.

Immediately, the interactive idle animation was canceled, and Chasa shifted his gaze forward as if nothing had happened.

Wait, so he’s not AFK?

Sa-yoon glanced at him before opening the guild window and typing in the invite command.

[General] Chasa: Trying to invite you now.

[General] Chasa: Can’t. You’re in a guild.

Barely ten seconds passed before the guild name under Killer’s character disappeared.

[General] Freedeal: Holy shit, he just disbanded his guild LOL

[General] GegulGegulFrog: No hesitation at all… ㅜ

[General] Shokrates: WHAT THE HELL, I HAD STUFF IN THAT GUILD STORAGE???

[General] Shokrates: You literally told me to put my extra inventory there ‘cause I was running out of space!!! What am I supposed to do now?!

[General] Killer: Make a list and send it. I’ll reimburse you.

[General] Shokrates: Ugh, seriously…

“Why the hell would you disband a perfectly good guild?”

It wasn’t like he was some general with a no-retreat policy. More importantly, he’d have to go back to that guild in a month anyway. Hadn’t he even spent money to keep the guild name reserved?

[General] Furple: So our return guild just poofed?

[General] Freedeal: He’ll make a new one.

[General] Freedeal: It’s not like this is the first time he’s done this LOL

Killer, who had been bouncing up and down behind them, suddenly darted forward. At the same time, a pop-up message appeared, and the nearly-naked male character dramatically dropped to one knee.

[‘Killer’ has requested to join the guild ‘Underworld.’]

[‘Killer’ shyly presents a bouquet to ‘Chasa.’]

[General] GegulGegulFrog: If you accept that, it means you’re dating him.

[General] Freedeal: Frog, how old are you? That reference is ancient…

[General] GegulGegulFrog: Wow, you’re really gonna bully a harmless amphibian like this?

“What?”

Sa-yoon, caught off guard by the chat, instinctively pressed decline.

[General] Killer: ?

[‘Killer’ gazes at ‘Chasa’ with sorrowful eyes.]

[General] Killer: Rejected.

[General] Killer: Whoever’s fucking around with my guild membership, confess in 3, 2, 1.

[‘Killer’ gazes at ‘Chasa’ with sorrowful eyes.]

[General] Freedeal: This dude’s got multiple personalities or what LOL

[General] Furple: Killer sure cries a lot. LMAO

[General] Oath’s Vow: Haha, so is he locked out of the guild now?

[General] Killer: Stop messing around and let me in.

Rejected once again, Killer dramatically collapsed onto the ground, fake crying while threatening the guild members.

It was obvious he had no idea that Sa-yoon had unblocked him and could see his chat now.

So this was how he acted when he wasn’t playing up the Hyung, Hyung act around Sa-yoon? Tch.

[General] Chasa: Ah, lol.

[General] Chasa: My hand slipped. I hit decline by accident.

[General] Chasa: Try again.

[‘Killer’ has requested to join the guild ‘Underworld.’]

[‘Killer’ shyly presents a bouquet to ‘Chasa.’]

[‘Killer’s’ guild request has been declined.]

[‘Killer’ gazes at ‘Chasa’ with sorrowful eyes.]

[General] Killer: ?

[General] Killer: Who the fuck is screwing around?

Me, dumbass.

His trust in the guild was so non-existent that he immediately suspected everyone except the actual culprit.

The third rejection shut him up. Killer didn’t even cry this time—he just stood still for a moment before suddenly starting to run circles around the guild members.

Watching him spin around like an idiot, Sa-yoon felt a strange sense of relief, like a weight pressing on his chest had finally lifted.

[Guild] Freedeal: LOL Chasa, he’s pissed.

[Guild] Shokrates: Understood. O7

[General] Killer: Haha, fine. If you ever wanna transfer servers again, I’ll cover the cost.

[General] Chasa: Do I get financial support too?

[General] Killer: ???

Alright, enough messing with him.

Three rejections felt like plenty. Sa-yoon finally sent the real guild invite.

[‘Chasa’ has invited ‘Killer’ to join the guild ‘Underworld.’]

[‘Killer’ has joined ‘Underworld.’]

[Guild] GegulGegulFrog: Ta-da~ Surprise party!

[Guild] Freedeal: LOL, do we call this a victory of sheer persistence?

[Guild] Oath’s Vow: Welcome! 🙂

The guild members welcomed Killer into the guild, but Sa-yoon wasn’t in the mood to celebrate.

[Whisper] Killer: Did you unblock me?

[Whisper] Killer: Am I allowed to talk now?

[Whisper] Killer: Why aren’t you answering when I know you can see this?

[Whisper] Killer: Are you still really mad?

[Whisper] Killer: If you’re doing siege war, that means you’re not transferring servers, right?

[Whisper] Killer: But why are you using formal speech with me?

Now that he realized he’d been unblocked, Killer had fully transformed into a question mark serial killer.

Revealing his hidden nature, he sneered— “I bet this is how you always play it off when you get rejected after creeping on people. I’m the one being stalked here, so why the hell are you acting like the bigger person?” After being repeatedly accused, Sa-yoon’s patience snapped. “Alright, Shin-jae. And can he clear up the real-life misunderstanding before it’s too late?
