I Possessed a Promiscuous Guide 17

“Ahh uhwaa aah ooh ah aaahh.”

“What the hell are you saying?”

Yu Je-hyun could not hide his sheer disbelief as he finally yanked his hand away. There were no bite marks, but the spot where Lee Haru had bitten him was drenched in saliva.

What the hell is this, a rabid dog? Did this bastard actually come in here high? Should I go through his stuff?

Yu Je-hyun, who absolutely loathed drug users, found himself seriously debating whether to tear through Lee Haru’s luggage right then and there.

Meanwhile, Haru was checking his front teeth with his fingers.

“What do I do…? It feels like this one’s loose, doesn’t it?”

Yu Je-hyun knew that S-class espers had durable bodies, but this was the first time he had actually bitten one. He had not adjusted his strength properly. Thinking he needed to make Je-hyun let go, he had bitten down without holding back. Now his tooth throbbed as if he had crunched through a stone.

Watching Haru on the verge of tears, Yu Je-hyun clicked his tongue in exasperation. There was no doubt about it—this guy had scrambled his brain after that suicide attempt. How else could anyone open their mouth wide enough to show their uvula and poke around at their teeth like that without a shred of shame?

Even worse, just like Haru had said, his tooth really was wiggling. The sheer absurdity made a laugh slip out of him.

“Seriously, who told you to bite down like that? Yeah, it’s super loose. If you’re lucky, they might all fall out.”

Yu Je-hyun wiped his damp hand on Haru’s shirt with an irritated swipe. Haru looked so shaken that all the color drained from his face.

“If I lose my teeth… how will I eat…?”

“That’s what you’re worried about right now?”

“Of course! Food is the most important thing to me. Do you think I cook this well by accident?”

Now that he mentioned it, Je-hyun remembered the kimchi stew Haru had made. Only then did Haru’s dental crisis start to feel like a real problem.

“Let me see.”

“Why?”

“I need to check how many are loose.”

He had seen loose teeth before, sure—but he had never cared. To put it bluntly, he had not even been curious whether those people lived or died. But the Haru standing in front of him now, eyes faintly rimmed with red, was a different story.

Before tasting Haru’s cooking, he would not have given a damn if all his teeth fell out and he was left with bare gums. But now? Haru’s cooking was too damn good to lose.

“How many is it?”

Haru obediently opened his mouth toward Je-hyun. Every tooth he touched wobbled like a loose baby tooth—it was like watching a child mid-teething.

“How hard did you bite me? Top and bottom combined… nine teeth are loose.”

“What?!”

That was basically half the teeth you could see when someone said “Cheese.”

“…I guess I’ll go to the dentist.”

Looking glum, Haru got up, then noticed how dark it was outside the floor-to-ceiling window. Since they had eaten dinner before starting the Guiding session, it had to be late by now. Most dental clinics offering after-hours care would be closed.

“Try putting on a healing potion. If that doesn’t work… well, maybe just yank them all out and drink the potion. They might grow back, who knows?”

“Is that based on personal experience?”

“No.”

The calmness in Yu Je-hyun’s voice made Haru want to drag his nails down that flawless face of his. Well—no harm in trying.

Just in case, Haru opened the healing potion he had brought and cautiously dabbed it onto his gums.

“Am I getting it in the right spot?”

With no mirror, he had to rely on feel alone, which made him anxious. His speech leaked out like someone wearing a dental retractor as he kept his mouth wide open.

“…Pfft.”

“Pfft?”

At the strange sound, Haru stared intently at Je-hyun. A moment ago, Je-hyun’s complexion had looked a warm bronze, but now it was tinged with red. As Haru squinted suspiciously, Je-hyun turned away and covered his mouth with his hand.

“What are you doing? Wait—are you laughing?”

He could not see Je-hyun’s face clearly, but the subtle shaking of those broad shoulders left no room for doubt.

“Pfft… kuh…”

Despite his best efforts to stifle it, laughter trickled through the gaps in his teeth.

Haru’s gaze sharpened. Here he was—terrified at the thought that he might have to chew with his gums for the rest of his life—and the jerk who caused it was laughing like he was watching a sketch show.

Sure, it would not have happened if Haru had just Guided properly. Or at the very least, if he had not bitten Je-hyun’s hand. Still, for some reason, Yu Je-hyun was pissing him off.

“…Ha, fuck…”

Je-hyun had been silently shaking with laughter for a good while before he suddenly composed himself and muttered a sharp curse.

Even someone as easygoing as he was could not help the surge of frustration that suddenly bubbled up inside.

“This is fucking ridiculous.”

Yu Je-hyun gave Haru a slow once-over, amusement still faint in his eyes, then dropped that single line before rising to his feet and disappearing up the stairs in an instant.

A heavy silence settled over the spacious living room.

Haru stood frozen, staring in the direction Je-hyun had vanished like a statue. Then, as if flipping a switch, he snapped back to reality and resumed carefully applying the healing potion to his gums, acting like nothing had happened.

“Leaving the light on should be okay, right?”

It was not something he would normally do—he was usually too frugal to waste electricity like that—but tonight was a special case.

Once he replaced the bulb, the light flickered on without issue. Unfortunately, the strange, unidentified crying sound still returned… but only when Haru was alone.

He heard it clearly, yet the espers looked at him like he was imagining things. That reaction only made the fear sink deeper.

Towel-drying the remaining moisture from his hair with a few firm shakes, he sat at the edge of the bed. The room now had a faint trace of human presence—a subtle warmth that made it feel less empty.

“I should pick up a scented candle next time.”

Maybe it was because he had lived alone from such a young age, but he had developed a habit of talking to himself. When he stayed quiet, the silence in a room could sometimes feel crushing.

“I’m seriously so relieved none of them fell out…”

He tossed the damp towel to the floor and flopped down onto the bed with a heavy sigh. With his index finger, he gently prodded each of the teeth that had felt loose earlier.

He must have checked them dozens of times—in the living room, in the bathroom— and even now, with not a single one wobbling anymore, he went over them one last time just to be sure before finally letting himself relax.

Team Leader Kang’s the only one who hasn’t received Guiding yet.

Both Hong Seong-jun and Yu Je-hyun had gotten sessions. Je-hyun’s had escalated so far that his Rampage Risk Index had nearly hit ten. At this rate, it might be days before they needed Guiding again.

When Haru had first arrived, they had said Hong Seong-jun was the top priority. Did that mean Team Leader Kang’s Rampage Index was relatively low?

He remembered the man silently finishing his rice with impeccable table manners.

By looks alone, he’s exactly my type.

All three espers here had objectively stunning features—anyone with working eyes would agree they were handsome. Still, Haru had his own taste.

His own skin tanned easily. Before getting into one of Seoul’s top universities, he mostly worked in manual labor.

The reason was simple: those jobs were easy to get and paid well.

He was strong, had good stamina, and when he showed up at a worksite, the foremen always took notice. Even though he could not work frequently because he was a student, they made exceptions for him because he got things done.

But the more time he spent moving under the blazing sun, the darker he got—especially in areas his clothes did not cover. He even got sunburned badly enough a few times to peel completely. After repeating that cycle so many times, he was always the darkest-skinned person in any room.

Maybe that was why he found himself instinctively drawn to the opposite.

He started paying attention to people with pale skin. And when it came to that, Kang Min’s skin was practically snow-white.

Lee Haru’s complexion was fair too, but Kang Min was so pale, he looked almost translucent—like he barely had blood flowing under his skin.

But it was not a feminine look.

His face, carved with perfect symmetry like a sculptor’s masterpiece, could have given off a delicate impression— but his size alone erased that possibility. He was tall, broad, with shoulders built like a wall.

Now that I think about it… in Haru’s memory, that cock really was the size of a damn club…

As he let his thoughts linger too long on Kang Min’s appearance, his mind began to fill with flesh tones and vivid imagery. The three espers Haru was deeply connected to were the ones living here in this mansion.

You better suck it properly. Otherwise, why would I keep spoiling you like this?

The man in that memory had his face blacked out, as if someone had scribbled over it with a thick black marker. The voice, too, had been distorted—full of grating mechanical noise. There was no way to tell who it was.

“…That speech pattern sounds kind of familiar.”

Haru murmured without thinking, then quickly raised his hand and covered his mouth. Suddenly, it hit him.

If the espers upstairs felt like it, they could hear every single word spoken in this room.
