Su Zinan was struck dizzy, his vision swimming with stars. Seizing the opportunity, Yun Xingze commanded his mechanical beast to lash out with two energy whips, firmly grasping Su Zinan’s arms. Simultaneously, he activated the turbo boost, increasing the mechanical beast’s downward force to firmly restrain Su Zinan’s Meteor Mech, relentlessly pulling it downward.
The audience was stunned by this scene. After a moment, they seemed to realize something.
“Is that… that’s Carlo’s move!”
“Is that cat copying Carlo?”
“Last time when Carlo fought Yun Xingze, he fought exactly like this.”
Su Zinan’s arms were tightly bound by the energy whips, completely immobilized.
He never expected Yun Xingze’s mechanical beast to unleash such tremendous power; it was almost like… a Comet Mech!
Indeed, during the modifications, Yun Xingze had intentionally redesigned the mechanical beast into a miniature Comet Mech.
He referenced the structure of Carlo’s Comet Mech, making varying degrees of modifications to the mechanical beast’s limbs and weapons. He also improved the startup and response protocols of the scout mech to align more closely with the operational style of a Comet Mech during combat.
In other words, Yun Xingze’s current mech was a hybrid of a Twin-Star Mech and a Comet Mech.
Su Zinan had thought this ugly cat would at most be a minor nuisance, but now it felt like he was fighting two enemies at once!
While Su Zinan was ensnared by the mechanical beast, Yun Xingze mercilessly drew two energy swords and slashed fiercely at the Meteor Mech.
If both swords struck simultaneously, the mech would likely suffer severe damage.
Just as the audience thought Yun Xingze was about to win.
“Hum!”
The Meteor Mech used its last remaining energy to activate a particle shield, blocking the assault of the two energy swords!
The particle shield was the Meteor Mech’s last-resort weapon, generating a translucent blue barrier around the mech that could briefly withstand intense artillery fire and attacks.
However, this shield consumed an enormous amount of energy and could only be used once per match. Generally, the moment a Meteor Mech pilot activated the particle shield, it signaled the final phase of the battle.
Either the Meteor Mech would stage a desperate counterattack, or it would be at the enemy’s mercy once the shield dissipated.
Yun Xingze’s mech gripped the two energy swords tightly, pressing them hard against the particle shield in an attempt to break through. But the shield’s density was unimaginable, steadfastly blocking the sharp blades.
The dazzling artillery fire ceased at this moment, and the confrontation on the field reverted to a contest of raw strength.
Su Zinan knew this was his last chance.
He quickly ran through countermeasures in his mind. He needed to break free from this ugly cat immediately and use his last remaining energy to strike Yun Xingze’s head only then could he secure victory.
The match had already lasted twenty-one minutes.
The audience was on edge, tormented by the constantly shifting tides of battle.
Lu Ranxu’s breathing grew rapid, his hands and feet turning cold. Every time he thought Yun Xingze was about to lose, Yun Xingze would pull off a miracle. Yet victory wasn’t so easily won Su Zinan still seemed to have fight left in him.
The outcome was about to be decided.
But no one could predict which side would emerge victorious.
Even the battle-hardened Zhuo Feiyue held his breath at this moment.
Soon, Su Zinan’s mech moved inside the shield!
Struggling against the mechanical beast’s energy whips, he tried to shake them off, his arms pulling outward with slow but determined force.
If he could break free in a short time, then he could…
Just as Su Zinan was continuously struggling against the mechanical beast, his left arm seemed to sense the loosening of the energy whip.
“Did that cat just retract the energy whip?!”
“Couldn’t hold on anymore?”
“Must be. Yun Xingze’s stamina has reached its limit too!”
“Oh no, doesn’t that mean Yun Xingze is in danger now. ”
Su Zinan quickly seized this opportunity. He raised the cannon muzzle on his left arm, preparing to aim it directly at Yun Xingze’s head.
However, before he could even open the muzzle,
The mechanical beast leaped up, switching the energy whip in its right claw for a chain sword, and slashed straight at Su Zinan’s left arm!
“Boom—!”
The tremendous sound penetrated the particle shield of the Meteor mech and the protective barrier outside the arena, reaching the audience’s ears.
The noise came so abruptly that it sounded somewhat muffled within the dual barriers.
Due to prolonged tugging, the joints of Su Zinan’s mech left arm had already suffered severe damage. Combined with his instinctive lifting motion, the entire mechanical arm formed a perfect ninety-degree angle with the shoulder.
A perfect detachable angle.
Yun Xingze had anticipated that Su Zinan would raise his left arm when the energy whip loosened. Thus, he controlled the mechanical beast to draw the chain sword at this precise moment.
Claw up, blade down.
Su Zinan’s mech left arm was cleanly severed and fell to the ground.
The audience, completely unprepared for this scene, widened their eyes in shock.
“What the hell?! Su Zinan’s mech just lost its left arm?!”
“And it was dismantled by a cat?!”
“This is so humiliating. The first person in history to have their mech dismantled by a cat.”
The moment Su Zinan’s mech left arm was severed, the pain turned his face deathly pale. But worse than the pain was the overwhelming humiliation.
Even against a Comet-class mech, he could put up a fight.
Yet now, he’d lost an arm to this ugly cat!
Furious and ashamed, Su Zinan wanted to counterattack. However, the Meteor mech’s particle shield had already dissipated. Yun Xingze’s twin energy swords came slashing down, forcefully and precisely severing his mech’s right arm!
The referee reminded from the side: “Contestant Su Zinan, you may surrender now.”
With both arms gone, Su Zinan’s Meteor mech was completely powerless.
Yun Xingze glanced at the two mechanical arms on the ground both bore the emblem of the Yun family’s mech company, gifts the original host had once given to Chi Yu.
Noticing more Yun-family-marked components on Su Zinan’s mech, he controlled the mechanical beast to dismantle those as well.
Before long, Su Zinan’s mech lay in scattered pieces.
This kind of scene, usually only seen in Kalibo’s matches, had now been perfectly replicated by Yun Xingze.
Gritting his teeth, Su Zinan had never felt such disgrace in his entire life.
No matter where he went, he was always the strongest Omega. Yet now, he’d lost to some frail Omega!
Filled with rage and resentment, Su Zinan glared hatefully at Yun Xingze. But with both arms gone, he couldn’t fight back, nearly grinding his teeth to dust.
Seeing no sign of surrender from Su Zinan, Yun Xingze simply raised a foot and kicked his mech to the ground.
Then, the mechanical beast firmly planted itself on Su Zinan’s face, leaving him no chance for a comeback.
Su Zinan struggled a few times, his face flushed with humiliation as the cat rode atop his mech. Unable to bear it, he activated the external speakers and roared, “Yun Xingze, don’t push your luck! You just got lucky!” He frantically kicked his legs, trying to stand up.
The referee began the countdown.
Yun Xingze opened his mech’s weapon port and fired a precise shot at Su Zinan’s right leg; the exact same spot where Lu Ranxu had been injured—avenging his friend.
Su Zinan’s mech convulsed as its right leg lost mobility.
The countdown ended. Su Zinan had lost.
The crowd erupted.
“Yun Xingze defeated Su Zinan?!”
“My god, look at Su Zinan’s mech; it’s completely wrecked!”
“That was terrifying! Was that cat actually being piloted by Caleb?”
“Uh… that seems unlikely?”
“What an incredible match! I never knew a duel between Omegas could reach this level!”
“Damn it, all my forum coins bet on Su Zinan are gone now!”
After his defeat, Su Zinan emerged from his ruined mech, panting heavily. His eyes red with fury, he spat out a bloody mouthful and glared at Yun Xingze. “Aren’t you ashamed of using such underhanded tricks, Yun Xingze?!”
“And you?” Yun Xingze frowned; his gaze icy. “When will you feel shame for what you’ve done? Every move I made to win was within the rules. What exactly are you complaining about?”
Su Zinan sneered. “What have I ever done to you?” He was confident even if Yun Xingze suspected him, there was no proof to fear.
Yun Xingze stared him down. “Wasn’t it you who reported my pheromone leak?”
“That was with Chi Yu’s approval,” Su Zinan taunted gleefully. “The Chi Yu you love so much agreed to it personally. How does that make you feel? Heartbroken?”
“The only one who’ll be heartbroken soon is you.” Yun Xingze stepped closer, his voice dropping to a dangerous chill. “And what about those forum posts? Wasn’t that your doing too?”
Su Zinan stiffened before lashing out angrily. “Where’s your evidence?! Besides, those posts spoke the truth, you’re nothing but a shameless bitch clinging to Chi Yu despite having no talent. He never liked you! His destiny should never have been tied to an Omega like you.”
Yun Xingze’s eyes turned glacial. “Still making excuses? So, you genuinely believe you’ve done nothing wrong, is that it?”
Su Zinan’s lips were pale from his injuries, but his voice remained defiant. “What did I do wrong? I was only fighting for what should have been mine.”
Having grown up on a barren planet, he’d clawed his way out of darkness through sheer cunning and strength, rising to become the strongest among Omegas.
At Starsea Military Academy, many pursued him, but few truly valued his abilities. Chi Yu, the noblest Alpha among them was the only one who’d ever shown him warmth and care.
The only problem? Chi Yu had an unworthy fiancé.
But so what? Chi Yu didn’t even like him.
Su Zinan had always believed he and Chi Yu were destined for each other. Yun Xingze was just a third wheel standing in their way.
The two locked eyes, the air between them freezing solid.
The audience in the stands grew excited as they watched the confrontation between the two.
“Wow, is this a fight between love rivals?”
“Are they really going to throw down?”
“Could it be over Chi Yu.”
Hearing the murmurs, Chi Yu froze for a moment before a flash of delight crossed his eyes was Yun Xingze fighting Su Zinan like this because he was jealous?
Then his victory over Su Zinan must have been fueled by the power of love!
At this thought, Chi Yu couldn’t help but glance smugly at Luo Wenchuan in the distance, his gaze declaring ownership over Yun Xingze.
Luo Wenchuan gave him a cold look, his eyes devoid of any emotion.
The referee surveyed the scattered mecha parts littering the ground and summoned cleaning robots. Yun Xingze initially wanted to retrieve the components belonging to the Yun family, but the thought that Chi Yu had gifted them to Su Zinan made him feel sick to his stomach.
Forget it! They’re already destroyed anyway.
The match had to continue, so Su Zinan and Yun Xingze left the arena. When medical staff asked if Su Zinan needed treatment, he refused.
Once outside, Su Zinan glared at Yun Xingze and spat through gritted teeth, “So what if you beat me? Chi Yu would never like someone like you. You’re just a B-rank competitor. Go check the forums everyone supports me…”
But before he could finish, Lu Ranxu came panting up from behind, cutting him off: “Su Zinan! Everything you’ve done was just exposed on the forums minutes ago! Why don’t you check how many supporters you have left?”
Yun Xingze blinked in surprise, though he suspected this was likely Luo Wenchuan’s doing.
Su Zinan’s face went rigid with shock. With trembling hands, he pulled up his terminal and accessed the campus forums immediately feeling the blood drain from his limbs as if all strength had left his body.
Pinned at the top were three posts: one exposing Su Zinan’s smear campaign against Yun Xingze on the forums, another revealing his collusion with Karl to frame Yun Xingze, and the last detailing how Chi Yu had gone easy on Su Zinan during last year’s tournament.
Neatly organized, even color-coded by the moderators.
The first post laid bare Su Zinan’s forum account, exposing thousands of derogatory threads and comments where he’d subtly disparaged Yun Xingze through veiled comparisons.
Su Zinan’s breathing grew ragged; this hurt worse than losing the match.
With this exposure, Su Zinan’s carefully crafted image as the “independent, self-made new-generation Omega” built on slandering Yun Xingze had completely crumbled.
“This can’t be… how could the forums have…” Su Zinan’s lips turned pale as cold sweat beaded on his forehead. He frantically exited the post, only to find the entire forum flooded with identical threads.
Row after row of identical titles screamed:
“SU ZINAN, GET OUT OF STARSEA MILITARY ACADEMY!”
