I’m Not That Obsessive – Chapter 126

Episode 126

I finally blurted it out while huffing to myself.

“You should play Logan.”

Mitchell finally met my gaze, looking up from between my thighs.

“Okay. I’ll do it.”

“…Huh?”

I couldn’t believe the answer I’d been wanting came so easily.

“Really?”

Unable to believe it, I asked again, and Mitchell nodded, confirming.

“I’ll contact the director separately. I appreciate you recommending me, but the director might not want to use me.”

“Surely not you?”

“You never know. No matter how successful I am, there are plenty of roles that don’t suit me. Did the director mention me by any chance?”

“Well, not exactly…”

“I’ll contact them first. I can audition separately if needed.”

Mitchell’s casting seemed within reach. Though it wasn’t confirmed yet, I had a vague feeling it would work out well. After all, Mitchell was the only person I could think of who suited the role of Logan. Thanks to that, my heart was pounding with the satisfaction of fulfilling my duty as a casting director.

“Don’t you need to read the script?”

I looked down at Mitchell’s hand touching my lower body.

“I already…”

His words were cut off midway. As I suddenly raised my head, Mitchell continued.

“I already heard about it from you.”

“Was my explanation that impressive? To choose your next project just based on that?”

Grinning, I grabbed Mitchell’s hand that was moving like a snake. If I let Mitchell keep touching me, I felt like the conversation wouldn’t continue properly due to excitement.

“I was thinking of changing my image anyway. A role with antisocial personality disorder should be fine. I’ll read the script too.”

Mitchell’s hand, which had stopped for a while, started moving again. It stroked up the shaft and then completely messed up the top.

“By the way, what about waxing? You’ll do it, right?”

Suddenly, I wanted to seriously ask Mitchell what was more important right now – the movie or my body hair. But before I could ask, Mitchell’s face dove between my thighs. Serious conversation seemed to be out of the question now.

By the time mine had fully surrendered in Mitchell’s mouth, swelling to its full size, I answered his question.

“I’ll do it. Hnngh! I said I’ll do it…”

Mitchell’s special skill activated once again. He had a knack for making me need another shower right after I’d just taken one. Mitchell didn’t stop his mouth until that milky substance was splattered all over my body.

Director McKenney stared quietly at the drink in front of him. He had emptied half of the orange drink with floating ice cubes, but he didn’t know what it tasted like.

He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, glancing around the quiet office. He kept sweating even though it wasn’t hot.

When he first made an independent film, he felt like he had achieved everything. He was confident he would walk an easy path from then on, but the world wasn’t so easy. As time passed, his confident and boisterous personality died down a lot, and he became conscious of others’ views as he struggled financially.

He reached a point where he would just laugh off being called a failure by those around him.

Still, he hadn’t given up his passion, so he consistently wrote scripts and submitted them to agents and production companies. But every time, he was rejected with evaluations that they lacked marketability.

He expected “Mirror Match” to receive a similar evaluation. He never imagined he’d get a positive response to produce the film.

And from none other than Seimon!

“You’re early?”

As the office door opened, the production producer and staff from various departments entered. With Seimon’s people in charge of this project mixed in, about ten people filled the seats at once.

“Nice to meet you.”

“Good to see you again.”

Director McKenney shook hands with each person one by one. He tried to smile as if he was relaxed, but in reality, he felt terrible.

This was the final interview to wrap up the contract. He had delusions that if he made a mistake here, the contract might become invalid. He was so nervous that he was struggling to secretly wipe off the sweat forming on his palms. He felt like his only suit pants were getting damp.

Fortunately, Director McKenney’s worries disappeared at once. The contract was successfully concluded.

“…And as we mentioned before, we plan to leave the casting entirely up to you, Director. We heard you’ve internally decided on a Korean actor named Geon-woo Bae for the role of Nathan, but is it correct that you haven’t chosen an actor for Logan yet?”

“Yes. There is an actor I want, but I heard he’s not accepting scripts right now. Actually, I created the role with that actor in mind… It’s a shame, but I think we’ll have to cast Logan through auditions. I can’t think of any other actors in particular.”

“Who is that actor?”

“Haha… It’s Mitchell Cronenwirth. It’s probably impossible, right?”

At Director McKenney’s words, people started murmuring among themselves. It seemed like he had mentioned an actor who didn’t match his level. Feeling embarrassed, he rubbed his face and tried to manage his expression.

“You’re saying you created ‘Logan’ with Mitchell Cronenwirth in mind? Then if Mitchell Cronenwirth agreed to take the role, you’d accept right away?”

“What? Of course!”

Director McKenney unknowingly broke into a big smile.

“I would be overjoyed if Mitchell joined my film, but I know better than anyone how difficult that would be. If you know of any actors with a similar image, I’d appreciate recommendations, or we might have to decide through auditions.”

Director McKenney suggested a reasonable compromise and observed people’s reactions. Most of them had amused expressions on their faces, as if they found this situation enjoyable. Until then, he thought people were laughing at him.

That is, until Mitchell Cronenwirth opened the door and entered a little while later.

These days, the work Mitchell put the most effort into was undoubtedly “receiving reports on Geon-woo’s daily activities.” He was getting detailed reports on what Geon-woo ate for lunch, where he went for walks, how much acting practice he did, and even who he met.

Walker was not only good with cameras but also had an exceptional talent for tailing. He would position himself at an appropriate distance so as not to arouse Geon-woo’s suspicion, observe each action, and report to Mitchell.

Mitchell learned about Geon-woo meeting Director McKenney and discussing the movie through Walker’s report.

Based on the information he received from Walker, Mitchell investigated Miles McKenney and looked into “Mirror Match.” The script Geon-woo had chosen had some surprising aspects.

While “Mirror Match” didn’t aim to be a commercial film, it seemed capable of capturing the commercial market depending on the production quality. Conversely, there was also a significant possibility of it flopping despite boasting a star-studded cast. Mitchell called this kind of script risky. No one could predict the widely varying results.

That’s why it was even more tempting. He thought it was the perfect movie to do with Geon-woo.

Usually, he would choose movies guaranteed to be successful, but this one was hard to predict. Thanks to that, it felt like a challenge he was taking on with Geon-woo. It had been quite a while since his early debut days, and he wasn’t sure why he felt so excited.

While looking at Geon-woo’s worn “Mirror Match” script, Mitchell contacted Brandon. He recommended “Mirror Match” for the movie project Seimon was working on.

He didn’t tell Geon-woo. It was something he never needed to know.

With the money issue resolved, all that was left was to secure the role. If Director McKenney wanted another actor for Logan, Mitchell planned to make him choose himself.

Fortunately, that wasn’t necessary.

The director who wrote “Mirror Match” had mentioned Mitchell. He even said he wrote the script with Mitchell in mind.

Mitchell, waiting for their meeting to end in the room across from the office where Director McKenney was having his meeting, heard the director’s words.

Securing the role of Logan in “Mirror Match” was supposed to be the variable, but it seemed he would get the role more easily than expected. He quietly smiled, thinking of Geon-woo, who would be even happier than him.

A little later, after deciding on budget issues, the filming team, location selections, and so on, and taking a short break, Mitchell knocked on the office door.

“Come in.”

While Seimon’s side knew Mitchell was coming, Director McKenney obviously hadn’t heard anything about it.

“Mi-Mitchell Cronenwirth?!”

Surprised by the sudden appearance, McKenney unknowingly let out a loud exclamation. He was genuinely shocked.

Mitchell greeted McKenney with his most charming smile.

“Nice to meet you. I’m Mitchell Cronenwirth.”

It was a perfectly charming smile designed to make Director McKenney fall for ‘Logan played by Mitchell Cronenwirth.’
