I Want To Be Your Guide – Chapter 8
“Domin!”
The voice calling him made his sleep fade away. He wanted to cover his ears to block out the noise reverberating in his head, but his hands wouldn’t move. No, his entire body felt as heavy as waterlogged cotton.
When Domin showed no response, the hand gripping his shoulder began shaking him violently. He was exhausted to death, and the persistent attempts to wake him were making his temper flare.
“Fuck…”
“Are you conscious?”
Domin barely managed to lift his heavy eyelids to see the face of the bastard who had woken him. It was Junyoung, examining his condition with eyes full of concern.
I knew it.
Unable to use his unresponsive hand, Domin used his ability to pull Junyoung’s clothes sideways, removing him from his line of sight. With a startled sound, Junyoung was pushed to the side and disappeared from view, finally allowing Domin to regain some peace of mind.
“Choi Domin, open your eyes. This isn’t the time to—”
“If you say one more word, I’ll crack your skull.”
At the murderous muttering, Junyoung quickly shut his mouth. With anyone else, it might have been an empty threat, but that bastard Choi Domin was the type who, if he wouldn’t actually crack your skull, would certainly throw something at your head using his ability and still have energy to spare.
Sensing the threat, Junyoung raised his hands to carefully protect the back of his head. Fortunately, as the surroundings quieted down, the now calm Domin didn’t throw anything.
After Junyoung closed his mouth, peace returned. Domin exhaled slowly and began to drift back to sleep.
No, he would have fallen into a deep, peaceful dream if memories hadn’t suddenly surfaced in his hazy mind.
“W-what the hell!”
Domin sat up abruptly and felt his body. His eyes, filled with confusion, looked at Junyoung who was standing at a distance, then scanned the unfamiliar room.
He wanted to ask where he was, but his lips only made stammering sounds, unable to form proper words. As Domin tried to get off the bed, he belatedly realized he was completely naked and stuttered:
“What is… this…”
Being without clothes was one thing, but between his legs were unmistakable traces. His eyes, full of confusion, darted back and forth.
“This can’t be happening.”
It was very rare for Guiding to progress to sexual relations. While that method was the most effective for removing the aftereffects of using abilities, what Guide in their right mind would sacrifice themselves to that extent?
The Guides Domin knew were all selfish bastards who used Guiding as an excuse to manipulate Espers as they pleased. They would never provide this kind of self-sacrificing Guiding.
“Fuck, I can’t remember.”
He could tell especially because he’d never had contact beyond kissing before. For the aftereffects to disappear this completely, they must have performed Guiding beyond kissing, and that could only mean sex.
Domin pulled at his hair, trying to recall yesterday’s memories. But most of his memories had been wiped out by the aftereffects, leaving nothing. Of all things, that part had been cut out entirely.
“Domin, what’s that?”
“What?”
“On the left side of your chest…”
Domin, who had been pulling his hair, followed Junyoung’s pointing finger and looked down. Something was clearly engraved on the left side of his chest, where his heart beat.
He rubbed the skin with a trembling hand, but it wouldn’t erase. Like a deeply embedded seal. Yes, this was the Imprinting he had only heard about in rumors.
“Fuck, what is this?”
One-sided Imprinting didn’t affect Guides, but it was different for Espers. From the moment a one-sided Imprint was engraved, it became impossible for an Esper to receive Guiding from any Guide except the one who had Imprinted them.
Domin felt wronged. Other Espers could have relations with multiple Guides without ever getting Imprinted, so why had he not only lost his virginity to a Guide whose face he couldn’t even remember, but also become Imprinted after just that one time?
He didn’t know who the Guide was that had taken his first time, but even for a one-sided Imprint, they would have had to overcome extreme odds.
Yet they had overcome those odds with just one encounter. Fuck, what an impressive bastard.
“Was it Ju Saeon?”
“No.”
“Then who…”
“That’s… I don’t know the name.”
You incompetent manager!
As Domin began to emit a murderous aura again, Junyoung fled to a safe distance and used his ability to protect himself. Seeing the faint protective shield surrounding Junyoung, Domin threw a piece of metal he had lifted with his telekinesis at the innocent wall instead.
Junyoung’s face turned deathly pale at the thought that the metal, now horribly crumpled after hitting the solid wall, could have been his future.
“…I need to find them.”
Although mutual Imprinting was a different matter, a one-sided Imprint that was unwanted by either the Guide or the Esper could be removed by following a procedure. However, that was only possible if you knew who the other party was.
With frequent exposure, he never knew when he might need to use his ability. In such situations, if he couldn’t find the Guide who had Imprinted him, he would either writhe in pain or go berserk or insane.
This was a matter of survival.
“Bring me the list of Guides who were on standby yesterday.”
“Right now?”
At the tactless response, Domin’s eyes gleamed menacingly.
Fearing something else might fly at him, Junyoung hastily left the Guiding room, telling Domin to wait a moment. When the door closed, Domin, left alone, raised his hand and roughly dragged it across his face.
“How should I deal with them?”
Once Junyoung brought the list, this clumsy game of hide and seek would quickly end.
While he was unconscious, someone had not only taken his virginity but also neatly secured an Imprint. Regardless of how shameless they might be, Domin could barely contain his boiling anger at the thought of meeting them soon.

After finishing his overtime work, Jeongyun returned home and collapsed straight onto his bed.
Every part of his body ached. Arms, legs, and that place that couldn’t be mentioned. As memories resurfaced, Jeongyun’s face burned hot.
“Ah… what should I do?”
Jeongyun buried his face deep into his pillow. He wanted to think it was just Guiding, but his emotions wouldn’t settle down and were in turmoil.
His waist hurt, and that unmentionable place still felt open, but it had been his first experience with none other than Domin. So perhaps he could enjoy the afterglow, just a little, just a tiny bit?
The memory of holding hands with Domin, the memory of their lips meeting, the memory of their hot bodies touching without any gaps. These were memories he couldn’t share with anyone and had to bury alone, but thanks to Jeongyun, Domin had survived.
“I saved Choi Domin.”
Jeongyun hugged the pillow he had buried his face in and rolled around on the bed. Then he groaned because his waist hurt, and then he stomped his feet in joy again.
After doing this for a while, when his tumultuous emotions finally settled, he released the pillow and looked up at the ceiling where sunlight was streaming in.
Just as his increasingly heavy eyelids were closing and he was about to fall into a peaceful sleep, an annoying noise disrupted the peace. Since his phone was always set to silent, this was the sound of his pager.
He wanted to ignore it, but if he arbitrarily didn’t answer communications from headquarters, it wouldn’t end with just a written explanation and overtime work this time. What an annoying rule.
“So annoying.”
Jeongyun forced his heavy body to rise, opened his eyes, and grimaced. He had already completed his shift, so what was this sudden call about? Grumbling, he reached for the drawer where he had placed his pager.
“Green…”
Red was for emergencies, blue was for support requests, and green was for return-to-headquarters orders. Having legally finished his overtime work and gone home, there was no reason for a return order without explanation.
But today, his movement report had been clear, and he had submitted his overtime report despite being tired. So why? Jeongyun frowned his neat forehead as he thought.
“What could be the problem?”
Wondering if he had missed something, Jeongyun frowned his neat forehead as he thought. When he pressed the button, the blinking green light stopped.
Due to the excessive Guiding, he was already exhausted and his eyes were about to close, but he couldn’t disobey orders. Left with no choice, Jeongyun got up and prepared to go out again.
He put the pager in his pocket and looked for his phone. It wasn’t on the bedside drawer or in the pocket of the clothes he had been wearing. After rummaging through his belongings, he found his vibrating phone in his bag.
The name on the screen was Wooyeon. After pressing the call button, he was about to ask what was going on, but the impatient Wooyeon called out to Jeongyun boisterously first.
[Jeongyun, where are you now?]
“I’m at home, but I got a return order, so I’m about to go back.”
[What, you too?]
“You too” meant that he wasn’t the only one who had received a sudden return order. Wondering if it was a more serious matter than he thought, Jeongyun carefully asked Wooyeon:
“Is something happening?”
[You worked overtime yesterday, right?]
He had asked a question but received a question in return. After honestly answering yes, Wooyeon made a huge fuss on the other end of the phone.
Was something really happening? Jeongyun was becoming increasingly anxious. He asked Wooyeon again: what was really going on?
After taking a breath, Wooyeon said:
[Yesterday, some crazy Guide Imprinted Choi Domin and ran away!]
