Please Do Your BL Somewhere Else! 33

“Why do I have to do this kind of thing?”

Lee Heejun grumbled with a crumpled expression. It seemed like he’d heard that phrase at least a hundred times during cooking practice. They were now heading to the third-year classroom with the sandwiches they had painstakingly completed.

Jaeyoon let out a small sigh as he looked at the beautifully wrapped sandwich in his hand. The struggle from earlier flashed through his mind. I didn’t think we’d be able to finish it today…

“This is such bullshit. What sandwich? He should deal with his own stress… That bastard Sim Jaeha causes all the trouble and then runs off alone to the third-year classrooms just because he knows a lot of seniors there…”

“Don’t you know a lot of seniors too since you’re in the fashion club?”

“I know some seniors, but none that I’d want to give this to. The only ones would be in the art club…”

“Art club??”

Surprised by the unexpected word, Jaeyoon’s eyes widened. Heejun narrowed his eyebrows and clicked his tongue loudly. He rustled the plastic wrapping of the sandwich in his hand and said,

“Since last week, it’s been sandwich this, sandwich that—so annoying… But I definitely won’t give it to him because I don’t want to see that hyung’s happy face.”

“Who is it?”

“You might have met him in passing—Sim Hajun, Sim Jaeha’s hyung.”

“Ah, ah-!!!”

When Jaeyoon shouted, Heejun nodded as if he’d expected that reaction.

“I see you’ve already met him.”

“Um… I met him by chance during the festival. So he was the class president’s hyung…”

‘Come to think of it, Sim Jaeha, Sim Hajun… they have the same last name.’

As Jaeyoon blinked in surprise, Heejun glared at the sandwich in his hand and said,

“We grew up together, so he’s practically like a real brother to me… That’s why it’s so fucking annoying.”

For a moment, sparks seemed to fly from Heejun’s purple eyes. After frowning deeply while thinking about Hajun, he turned to look at Jaeyoon.

“You’re lucky.”

“Huh? What do you mean?”

“You can give your sandwich, made with all your heart, to the senior you like.”

“What?!”

Jaeyoon’s face turned red instantly. After blinking his eyes and moving his lips for a moment, he frowned. Being played by a high schooler at this age… He narrowed his eyebrows, sighed, and then muttered reproachfully to Heejun.

“…I haven’t forgotten that you left me alone with sunbae on Saturday.”

“I went out to take a call. What’s the problem?”

“Stop lying! Thanks to you, I had to…!!”

“Why? Did something happen between you two while I was gone?”

At Heejun’s question, Jaeyoon closed his mouth tightly. Remembering what happened on Saturday, his cheeks turned red on their own. As he turned his head, trying to act calm, Heejun looked at him with a sly smile.

“Why… are you looking at me like that?”

“Have you decided on your answer to the confession?”

“…”

Seeing Jaeyoon’s silence, Heejun’s purple eyes narrowed.

“Don’t tell me you’re still keeping it pending? You shouldn’t make someone wait long after a confession. The person who confessed probably feels like their blood is drying up with each passing day.”

“I know…”

Jinhoo sunbae must have gathered his courage and confessed with difficulty. Even though he said it was okay to take time with the answer, as Heejun said, it wasn’t right to keep postponing after receiving a confession. That wasn’t respectful to the other person. But he still couldn’t come to a proper conclusion. He couldn’t tell which choice would be better for Jung Jinhoo and for himself.

“What if someone else takes him away while you’re hesitating?”

“What… do you mean?”

“Your expression is scary…”

Heejun shrugged as Jaeyoon asked with a suddenly calm face and a lowered voice.

“That sunbae is good-looking, isn’t he? Who says we’re the only gay people in this school?”

The word ‘gay’ made Jaeyoon think of Kim Yeonwoo and his romance targets. His eyebrows furrowed involuntarily. They wouldn’t approach Jung Jinhoo, but just the thought made his mood sink. Shaking his head from side to side, Jaeyoon bit his lip.

“It’s just an if, just hypothetical.”

“Okay.”

“Well, that sunbae doesn’t seem to have eyes for anyone but you, so even if someone else confessed, he probably wouldn’t accept them. But I mean don’t drag it out too long.”

Jaeyoon nodded. He understood very well what Heejun was trying to say. A large sigh escaped from his lips. This is difficult… As Heejun quietly looked at Jaeyoon’s serious expression, he spotted Lee Minho coming out of the third-year classroom and raised his hand in greeting.

“Oh? Hyungnim.”

“Heejun? Oh?! Jaeyoon!”

“The difference in your reaction is severe.”

Heejun said as if it was too much when Minho broke into a bright smile upon seeing Jaeyoon. Minho’s pupils shook greatly. Ah, no… As Heejun watched the flustered Minho with an expressionless face, he thought this was perfect timing and held out the sandwich to him.

“Ah, it’s already that time of year?”

“Yes, it’s already that time. So, could I ask for your signature?”

“Of course.”

After signing the paper Heejun handed him, Minho rolled his dark green eyes to the side to look at Jaeyoon. His gaze, which had been looking at Jaeyoon’s face, gradually moved downward and stopped at the sandwich in Jaeyoon’s hand. Seeing his lingering gaze, Jaeyoon spoke up.

“We didn’t have enough ingredients, so I only have one.”

“Ah, no! It’s fine, Jaeyoon!”

Though he tried to smile, his disappointment was obvious. Jaeyoon swallowed a sigh that was about to escape and took out a candy from his cardigan pocket, offering it to him.

“Would you… like some candy?”

“Is-is that okay?!”

He was looking at him so pitifully that Jaeyoon had no choice but to give him the candy he had saved for himself. Minho’s face instantly brightened as if it had soaked up sunshine. Seeing his beaming smile, Heejun, who was standing beside them, covered his eyes with his arm and said,

“Hey, do you have sunglasses? My eyes hurt.”

“Unfortunately, no.”

After glancing around the classroom to avoid the self-luminous Minho, Jaeyoon confirmed that the snow-white silver hair was nowhere to be seen and drooped his eyebrows in disappointment.

‘Did he go to eat?’

“Looking for Jinhoo?”

Whoa, you startled me! Nodding his head while calming his surprised heart as Minho suddenly approached him, Minho smiled gently and said,

“If you’re looking for Jinhoo, he’s probably in the back garden. He seems to always go there during lunch to take care of the cats.”

“You know a lot about Jinhoo sunbae…?”

‘They didn’t even seem that close.’

Perhaps because of Heejun’s words from earlier, even though Jaeyoon knew it was unlikely, he narrowed his eyes and looked at Minho with suspicion. Blinking blankly, Minho then smiled awkwardly and scratched his cheek.

“I just see him often when running errands for teachers, so that’s how I know, Jaeyoon…”

“Ah-…”

At the voice that seemed to be soothing him, Jaeyoon bit his lip tightly. How embarrassing…

“Kuk!!”

Jaeyoon looked at Heejun, whose lips were trembling as he tried to hold back his laughter. Heejun slightly turned his head, pretending to look at distant mountains to avoid Jaeyoon’s gaze. Of course, his shoulders were still shaking.

‘This is all because of you…’

Jaeyoon took a deep breath, imagining a white puppy in his mind.

“I’ll go deliver the sandwich to Jinhoo sunbae.”

At his slightly sulky voice, Minho nodded quickly. Heejun also managed to contain his laughter and greeted Jaeyoon.

“Give it, kup! Ahem! Give it well to sunbae.”

“…Okay.”

Though there was much Jaeyoon wanted to say to Heejun, he held it in and turned away. Watching Jaeyoon’s retreating back, Heejun lifted the corners of his mouth and burst out laughing. Minho looked at him with an expression that said “I can’t stop him.”

“Then I’ll be going now too.”

“Okay, thanks for the sandwich. I’ll enjoy it, Heejun.”

Heejun nodded as Minho smiled, showing the sandwich in his hand. As he was about to return to the classroom, a thought suddenly occurred to him, and he turned to look at Minho. Minho tilted his head slightly and asked “What’s wrong?” with a puzzled expression.

“It’s nothing much. I made it a bit sweet, so it might not suit your taste.”

“Ah~ That’s fine, I like sweet things.”

Seeing Minho smile with his eyes curved, Heejun nodded in relief.

“But, Heejun, didn’t you say you can’t eat sweet things?”

When Minho, who remembered what he had said, asked curiously, Heejun blinked slowly for a moment before answering.

“Sim Jaeha… the guy I have a crush on likes sweet things. I’ve gotten used to making things according to his taste, just a useless reason like that.”

“Ah… I see.”

An awkward silence fell between them for a moment. You don’t need to be this considerate. Glancing at Minho, who was looking apologetic, Heejun sighed inaudibly. With the thought of leaving quickly, he was about to say goodbye when he narrowed his eyebrows as he saw Minho’s complexion gradually darkening. What’s this? When he turned his head in the direction of Minho’s gaze, an ordinary boy was standing there, looking at them.

Who is that? With a puzzled expression, Heejun checked the boy’s name tag and his eyes widened. Kim Yeonwoo? Heejun’s gaze unconsciously turned to Minho. He could see trembling dark green eyes and an expression that was gradually stiffening as if trying to hide his confusion.

“Sen—”

“Heejun!”

Just as Kim Yeonwoo opened his mouth, Minho called out to Heejun loudly. When Heejun turned to look at him, Minho held up the sandwich visibly at chest level and said, “This looks really delicious. Thank you, I’ll enjoy it,” repeating the same greeting from before.

What’s going on? Heejun’s purple eyes narrowed horizontally. When he rolled his eyes slightly to check on Kim Yeonwoo, he saw that his complexion had turned pale blue and he was clenching his fists. Because of this, the sandwich Kim Yeonwoo was holding got crushed.

Heejun quietly looked at Minho, who was deliberately ignoring Kim Yeonwoo, and then sighed softly so it wouldn’t be noticed. Heejun raised his hand and wrapped it around Minho’s hand. Then, smiling with his eyes crinkled, he spoke in an excited voice.

“I made it with all my heart, so I hope it suits Minho sunbae’s taste!”

Minho’s pupils shook rapidly. You started it first… Heejun looked at him with an incredulous expression. About three seconds passed, and the hesitant footsteps quickly faded away. Heejun sighed heavily and turned around. Then, confirming that Kim Yeonwoo had disappeared, he narrowed his eyes and looked back at Minho. Minho’s body flinched. He smiled awkwardly for a moment before apologizing.

“Hyungnim, did you just use me?”

“I’m sorry…”

I thought you had a crush on Kim Yeonwoo, but is that not the case? Deliberately avoiding him… Well, it’s not my business to interfere.

“You’ll pay me back.”

“Huh?”

“I said you’ll pay me back again.”

I don’t help for free. At Heejun’s words, Minho blinked blankly before bursting into laughter.

“Okay, I’ll pay you back. Contact me whenever you need.”
