This school was vastly different from the ones Xia Ze had attended before. It was less of an educational institution and more of an exclusive high-end salon. The teachers spoke in soft, measured tones, and every Omega student even had their own personal attendant.
Not to mention the complete absence of uniforms even the chairs and desks were exquisitely ornate, fully customizable to individual tastes.
Xia Ze stood out like a sore thumb here. The attendants behind him were dressed more lavishly than he was.
His masked face couldn’t even be called plain without those strikingly expressive eyes that couldn’t be hidden, he’d be completely indistinguishable in a crowd.
The classroom held only ten students, and Xia Ze was the last to arrive. Dressed in a simple T-shirt and jeans, he immediately drew everyone’s attention the moment he walked in.
Who would come to this elite Omega training school without bothering to dress up? How could someone so shabbily dressed even be here?
And then there was the fact that he was infamous, the young lover of General Qi.
Not only that, but he’d also made Qiao Qinqin, the daughter of the local chamber of commerce president, cry.
On Planet F31, the Qiao family was the most powerful. This very academy, dedicated to grooming high-society Omegas, was even owned by them.
Even on a backwater junk planet like this, social hierarchies existed.
The Qiao family naturally belonged to the upper echelons, while Xia Ze, a small flower shop owner was undeniably lower class.
The other students, though not as prominent as the Qiaos, still had connections. Once they came of age, they’d all leave this planet to enter high society. A junk planet like this was no place for precious Omegas like them.
Unaware that the strange tension in the room was entirely due to his arrival, Xia Ze even nodded politely at an Omega he’d met before one he’d encountered during that dinner outing with General Qi.
The others watched in shock as he remained utterly composed, as if nothing had happened, even nodding at Qiao Qinqin.
How was he this unflappable?!
Could he really just brush it off like that?
Assuming he’d done his part with greetings, Xia Ze hugged his “textbooks” and looked for his seat.
But after scanning the room, there didn’t seem to be any vacant spots.
His attendant whispered from behind, “Did you not prepare your desk and chair?”
Prepare his desk and chair?
Xia Ze turned in confusion. The attendant nearly lost focus under the gaze of those eyes, softening their tone. “It’s alright, I’ll arrange it for you.”
“I’ll handle everything you need here.”
Was this really school? The service was unbelievably attentive.
Xia Ze nodded with a smile. “Thank you, then.”
“To come here without knowing anything…”
“Did General Qi find you too uncouth and send you here to learn manners?”
“What kind of flea-market rags are you wearing to show up like this?”
Xia Ze glanced at the three Omegas who’d spoken. Without exception, they all sported meticulously styled hair.
The female Omegas wore elegant lace dresses, while the males’ blouses were also lace-trimmed, accentuating their aristocratic air.
Truthfully, Xia Ze found it all a bit odd. Not that they weren’t attractive, no Omega here could be considered plain.
But their extravagant styling clashed jarringly with the junk planet’s reality.
In Xia Ze’s eyes, the barren wasteland of F31 was always defined by harsh weather and the exhausted, numb expressions of its Beta laborers.
Before coming to these places, he could hardly imagine that there were such high-end areas on the garbage planet.
Noticing Xia Ze’s gaze, the male Omega who had spoken, Feng Qi, puffed out his chest. “What? Never seen such a fine lace shirt before? Let me tell you, this is the latest design, the best lace available.”
“But isn’t the newest lace shirt supposed to be pinkish-white? The texture should be softer too, with more distinctive yet smooth patterns,” Xia Ze murmured, recalling descriptions from magazines.
Truth be told, he hadn’t deliberately memorized it—his memory was just exceptionally good, almost photographic.
Xia Ze spoke earnestly, unaware of Feng Qi’s darkening expression.
How could this low-class Omega know that?!
He’d only received the latest magazine this morning. Damn the garbage planet’s terrible delivery system there was no way he could get the newest designs here yet!
Xia Ze continued, “Actually, with your lively temperament, light blue or mint green lace tops would suit you better. Cleaner patterns would make you look more refined and romantic.”
Just look at that answer!
He must be a straight-A student!
This was what they called loving what you do.
Having been an excellent student in his past life, Xia Ze felt his advice was probably correct.
Meanwhile, Feng Qi was trembling with rage.
This Omega was clearly no simpleton!
He was deliberately provoking him. Feng Qi had meant to stand up for Qiao Qinqin, but now he’d made a fool of himself.
Though… the Omega’s suggestions did make sense. Maybe he should try light blue tops later?
Qiao Qinqin shot him a “you’re on your own” look, and the other students didn’t dare cause any more trouble.
They were completely outmatched!
“Excellent, our new student’s answer was absolutely perfect,” the teacher praised as he entered, having overheard the exchange. He immediately took a liking to this talented newcomer.
The teacher, a male Omega, wasn’t wearing lace but his sharply tailored outfit clearly cost a fortune.
Upon entering, his approving tone abruptly halted as he exclaimed, “You, you, you! What are you wearing?!”
But his surprise didn’t last long. Every student here was among the garbage planet’s elite Omegas either exceptionally beautiful or well-connected. None could be offended.
And this one was particularly special.
He was General Qi’s little lover.
Even the teachers were jealous, let alone the students.
As the awkward silence stretched, Xia Ze’s requested desk and chair finally arrived.
No one had ever used the school’s spare furniture before, making them a hassle to retrieve but at least they were brand new.
Once everyone was settled, the teacher surveyed the ten students and began the day’s lesson.
“Today we’ll cover Omega etiquette how to eat, walk, and drink tea properly.”
“We’ll start with walking. Follow me for a demonstration.”
When morning classes ended, Xia Ze scratched his head vigorously, eyes glazed, before collapsing onto his desk.
If he’d committed crimes, just arrest him! Why torture him with such lessons?!
Feng Qi had considered mocking him, but knowing Xia Ze’s capabilities, he just shuffled away.
Well, what could you do when someone was that formidable?
Though that posture was terribly unrefined, no Alpha would find that attractive.
Exchanging glances, the other Omegas all shared the same thought.
As he was thinking, an overwhelming pressure approached from afar.
Feng Qi and the others snapped back to reality as a tall, handsome figure walked past them, his chilling aura sending shivers down their spines.
The Omegas present caught only a glimpse of his profile but couldn’t help covering their mouths to stifle screams.
So handsome.
So powerful.
Truly the number one Alpha in the galaxy.
Still slumped over his desk, Xia Ze felt a hand gently ruffle his hair. He looked up at General Qi Jing, his eyes still dazed from studying, prompting Qi Jing to lightly brush his thumb over the boy’s eyes.
“What’s wrong?”
Xia Ze nearly whimpered, his voice unconsciously taking on a pleading tone. “I don’t want to study anymore.”
“I want to drop out.”
“Can I?”
Qi Jing chuckled at his expression and ruffled his hair again. “Study well now, and you won’t have to worry later.”
“But I’m worrying right now.” Xia Ze tugged at Qi Jing’s sleeve, his distress written all over his face.
Qi Jing usually wore fitted attire not quite a military uniform, but similar so the fabric was snug. He could even feel the warmth of Xia Ze’s fingers through the material at his waist.
When Qi Jing glanced down at those delicate fingers, Xia Ze misunderstood it as rejection.
Taking a deep breath, Xia Ze muttered to himself, “Ten years of hard study, one moment to decide victory.”
“Three years of hardship, a lifetime of happiness.”
“Wait, no just a month and a half.”
Amused by the boy’s rambling, Qi Jing scooped him up. “As a reward for studying so hard, how about some good food?”
Xia Ze nodded eagerly.
Of course he wanted to eat!
After a grueling morning of studying, Xia Ze practically leaned against Qi Jing as they left the classroom, leaving the Omegas who had been secretly watching in stunned silence.
He’s too good at this.
Way too good.
So soft, so clingy, and so good at acting spoiled.
Even someone as cold and aloof as General Qi Jing turned gentle around him.
Does Xia Ze even need to study?
He’s practically a textbook example himself!
As Xia Ze walked out with Qi Jing, he noticed his classmates still scribbling furiously in their notebooks, as if taking down every detail.
They’re so diligent. Compared to them, maybe I’m too lazy.
No, I have to catch up when I get back.
Xia Ze sighed inwardly, his worries piling up.
Today was just walking etiquette. Tomorrow would be afternoon tea manners, then hand gestures, and even protocols for meeting nobles and royalty.
Is this school really necessary?!
The lavish lunch somewhat soothed Xia Ze’s soul, reinforcing one thought in his mind:
Being a Beta is so much better. Omegas have way too many rules to learn.
And this is just the beginning, who knows what else is coming?
There was also one major issue he’d been avoiding: the final lesson on how to have and care for a baby.
They’d even make General Qi Jing attend with him.
Just thinking about it made Xia Ze shake his head violently. No, don’t think about it, it’s too depressing! Future problems can wait for the future!
