#95
It was dawn when the sun was gradually revealing itself. When the air was still full of low saturation and damp humidity, Do-hyeok slowly opened his eyes. There was slight moisture around his eyes. The familiar ceiling and familiar sensation. Even without checking, he could tell this was his own bed in his room.
“Awake?”
At the familiar voice coming from nearby, Do-hyeok turned his head. Ha-seong was sitting beside the bed with an indifferent expression, looking down at Do-hyeok.
“Hyung.”
“Yeah.”
“I’m sorry.”
“…Just knowing is enough.”
Ha-seong looked at Do-hyeok, who was lying there drooped unlike himself, then soon turned his gaze elsewhere. Do-hyeok rustled as he sat up. Due to losing his mind and going on a rampage with his power, silent screams were coming from all over his body.
“Does your face hurt a lot?”
Do-hyeok reached out his hand to caress the cheek of Ha-seong, who was looking elsewhere. The scraped skin marks seemed like wounds from when he confronted Do-hyeok.
How had he injured that face? He vaguely remembered fighting with Ha-seong, but he couldn’t recall the detailed circumstances at all beyond that. But anyway, he could tell that Ha-seong had stopped him when he lost his reason and caused trouble.
“Yeah. Completely. You should be grateful I put you to sleep nicely.”
Ha-seong stood up from his seat without responding to Do-hyeok’s touch.
“Once dawn breaks, Woo-bin-ssi plans to formally arrest and investigate that guy. Whether there really are accomplices and all that will be revealed too.”
Ha-seong picked up the outer clothes carelessly thrown on the floor and stood up. He could feel Do-hyeok’s gaze following him, but somehow Ha-seong found it difficult to look back.
“You should rest. Oh, I drove your car here and parked it pretty well, so check it out later.”
“Hyung, where are you going?”
Do-hyeok tried to get up too, but suddenly he felt sharp throbbing pain in his legs. It was the result of unleashing excessive power after a long time. Fire-type skills were centered on momentary explosive power, so it was natural that unleashing all power at once would strain the body. But Do-hyeok had sustained that state for quite a long time, so this condition was natural too.
“I’m going home now. My wounds are all healed and we’ve solved the immediate case at hand.”
Ha-seong and Do-hyeok’s gazes met in mid-air. Do-hyeok seemed to have a lot he wanted to say but was conflicted about what and how to say it. It was just saying he was going home, and it was true that he had said he would stay until his wounds healed completely, but it felt like those words were saying it was all over now, which was confusing.
“Sleep more. I’ll contact you later.”
Do-hyeok had no justification to hold Ha-seong back. He could only stare blankly at the disappearing figure.
* * *
Coming out of Do-hyeok’s house, the cold dawn air greeted Ha-seong. Perhaps because it was now completely winter, Ha-seong stared blankly at the sky seeing his breath, then slowly headed home.
The house he entered after a long time had no sense of life or human warmth at all, just cold and silent. Well, it was natural since he’d been away from home for quite a while. Ha-seong first looked around the house thoroughly, then turned on the heating. Looking at the clock, there was plenty of time until work, so Ha-seong also planned to get a bit more sleep.
Perhaps because he’d fought with a strong opponent after a long time, his body ached a bit. Ha-seong entered the bedroom and lay down, staring blankly at the innocent ceiling.
‘He didn’t tell me the details, but he said he met a benefactor. That he was able to live thanks to that person. But he couldn’t protect them. I still remember him saying that.’
Strangely, what Woo-bin had said kept lingering in his mind. Do-hyeok’s past that he hadn’t looked into. No, perhaps an unexpected past he never intended to see, hearing about it made his heart feel restless.
A benefactor. Ha-seong didn’t have such an existence. Even if there were a few good seniors he met during past work, they weren’t people who saved his life or worthy of being called benefactors. He’d never met an adult who would guide him. So Ha-seong couldn’t help but not know. How a benefactor was regarded by ordinary people.
“……”
Come to think of it, if someone saved him from nearly dying after being sucked into an unknown space at that young age, they wouldn’t be just any ordinary benefactor. So Cha Do-hyeok would want revenge to the extent of talking about killing someone.
Do-hyeok’s killing intent when he tried to kill Baek Sa-jin. That was raw emotion without lies or exaggeration. Emotion stemming from that one person called his benefactor.
Right, that could happen. They saved his life, and to that young kid they would look cool, and then he’d come to like them, well, that could happen. Then did he call that person hyung too? Thinking such thoughts, his heart felt strangely blocked and stuffy.
“This guy’s a total player. No matter how drunk, kissing me and all. The more I think about it, the more ridiculous it gets.”
A guy who had someone he’d longed for got drunk and kissed just anyone, the more Ha-seong thought about it, the angrier he got. Rather than thinking about how to act going forward in this situation where they’d caught the culprit, such things filled Ha-seong’s mind right now.
“Ah, whatever.”
Ha-seong set his alarm and closed his eyes tightly. When things were complicated, sleeping was the best.
* * *
“Hyung, wake up.”
Mmm, I’m sleeping well, who’s waking me like this. Ha-seong frowned and drowsily opened his eyes. This was definitely his room, so why could he hear someone else’s voice? Ha-seong barely turned his barely-moving body to look at the space beside him.
Then he saw Cha Do-hyeok’s face. What, when did this guy come here? Ha-seong tried to ask what this was about, but strangely his mouth wouldn’t open and even though he wanted to speak, he absolutely couldn’t. An impossible situation. A body that wouldn’t move as he wished.
‘It’s a dream.’
Ha-seong finally realized he was having a dream too similar to reality. But why of all dreams was he having this kind? Ha-seong hoped to wake up quickly and tried to turn his body back, but that too wouldn’t move well.
Had he pushed himself too hard, was that why he was having such a shitty dream, when—
“Hyung.”
Do-hyeok’s languid voice was heard, then his touch reached Ha-seong’s face.
“How long are you going to sleep?”
What are you saying, you crazy bastard, the words that he’d sleep until work time got stuck in his throat and absolutely wouldn’t come out of his mouth. No, that aside, what the hell was this touch? Sticky and… this touch different from usual was…
When Ha-seong was screaming silently, Do-hyeok suddenly climbed on top of him and immediately pressed their lips together. Even as Ha-seong’s eyes widened, Do-hyeok moved his lips quickly. The lightly touching kiss instantly became dense.
Do-hyeok, who had been sucking as if he’d devour his lips, inserted his tongue and licked Ha-seong’s tongue. Even as their tongues mixed, Ha-seong couldn’t move his body at all.
Did it make sense that he couldn’t move even though this was clearly his own dream? When Ha-seong was soaked in confusion and bewilderment, Do-hyeok was still tasting the inside of Ha-seong’s mouth while gently stroking his neck. He particularly touched the area where he had left marks when drunk in reality last time, then soon that hand came down and entered inside Ha-seong’s clothes.
When the cold hand touched bare skin, Ha-seong reflexively flinched. He couldn’t move his body or speak, but somehow he could feel this tickling sensation well.
“Hyung, your skin is soft. I thought it would be.”
The fictional Do-hyeok in the dream only said strange things, then lewdly caressed Ha-seong’s stomach and sides. The hand that had grown more intense soon moved further up and began wandering around Ha-seong’s areola. All Ha-seong could do at the suddenly changed high-level touch was just flinch his body.
Do-hyeok, who had been gently rubbing around the areola, flicked his nipple with his finger.
“Hng…”
A strange sound burst from his mouth. Inside, Ha-seong wondered if this was really a sound he made? Do-hyeok raised his finger to scratch one side while gently rubbing the other. When the sensations felt from both sides gradually blurred whether this was a dream, reality, or what exactly it was.
At an unbelievable sensation, Ha-seong looked down below. Do-hyeok began weakly grasping and rubbing the front of his thickly swollen pants with his hand.
“Mmng.”
“Hyung, does it feel good?”
Ha-seong felt like he was the protagonist in a pornographic movie. In a situation where he couldn’t control his body or words and was only feeling at Do-hyeok’s hands, it couldn’t help but look that way.
“You’re hard. Should I touch it?”
Even trying to shake his head, his will absolutely wouldn’t function in this damn dream. Do-hyeok pulled down both pants and underwear at once without hesitation. Then Ha-seong’s erect member sprang up.
Do-hyeok firmly grasped the straight pillar and kissed Ha-seong again. As saliva became thickly entangled, his touch began to slowly increase in speed. Moving up and down, sticky and wet sounds rang in his ears.
“Ah… ha, ngh.”
All he could make in this damn dream were these moaning sounds. What was more maddening was that even though this was really a shitty dream, Ha-seong was feeling it all. An unknown tingling sensation spread from Do-hyeok’s touch and invaded his whole body.
“Hyung, you’re cute.”
A gentle voice. Saliva of unknown origin flowing around his mouth. Do-hyeok’s touch that had gotten faster. Everything was stimulating and harmful.
“Ah.”
When Do-hyeok moved his hand and gently rubbed the glans with his thumb, Ha-seong couldn’t hold back and climaxed. Breathing roughly, Ha-seong still looked at the illusion in the dream with Do-hyeok’s face.
“Why…”
He wanted to say why are you doing this, but it was still impossible. Then Do-hyeok brought his body close and began whispering something in his ear.
“You wanted it, hyung. Only thinking of me, getting jealous. It’s all because you did that, hyung.”
When Ha-seong was at a loss for words with even his thoughts stopped, looking at Do-hyeok who was raising the corners of his mouth in a grin—
Ring ring ring—
“Huk…!”
With a loud sound, Ha-seong bolted upright in bed. Like having a nightmare, his forehead, back, everything was damp with sweat.
“……”
Ha-seong caught his breath, then slowly lifted the blanket.
“Ah, fuck.”
Realizing that not only his upper body was damp, Ha-seong collapsed back onto the bed with great self-loathing.
