The Villain Wants to Change Genres – Chapter 136

Chapter 136

‘What? You were fine when you applied it to my shoulders!’

I felt Luwen’s hand quickly pull away from my back. He’ll definitely find this strange. He might even call me a pervert. No, I am practically a pervert. It’s just applying some ointment, why am I like this?

“I’m sorry. Did that hurt?”

“Mmm. Could you be a little gentler?”

Fortunately, it didn’t seem like he had any suspicious misunderstandings.

“Yes. I’ll be careful.”

The problem was, perhaps because I had become conscious of it, my body flinched every time Luwen’s hand touched me. The sensation was like a subtle electric current flowing through me, driving me crazy.

‘…I think I made a mistake.’

I shouldn’t have asked him to apply the ointment. I bit my lip hard and lowered my head, afraid a compromising sound might escape.

“Uh…”

It was useless. I seemed to become even more sensitive. All my nerves were concentrated on my back, not knowing when he would touch me next. Finally, a sound I couldn’t suppress slipped out. This time he didn’t even ask if I was okay.

‘This is driving me crazy. What should I do?’

Not having the courage to look at Luwen, I clenched my fists and closed my eyes. All I could do was pray for this to end quickly.

“One moment.”

Luwen’s voice was hoarse.

“Hah, please bear with me for a moment. I need to hurry.”

“Y-yes…”

When I nodded, his large hand roughly rubbed my entire back. It was so forceful that the ticklish sensation I had felt earlier was completely gone, but I let out a sigh of relief thinking this was better.

“I apologize. I just remembered an urgent matter.”

A shirt was draped over my shoulders. As I raised my head, Luwen hastily passed by my side, whatever his urgent business was.

‘…Huh?’

In that fleeting moment, I saw that Luwen’s pants were bulging at the front.

SLAM.

The door closed. At the same time, heat rushed to my face. My head was spinning.

* * *

Alteo, who had been rolling around on the bed, frowned at the sudden unwelcome visitor. However, he couldn’t say a word because it was Luwen. Moreover, for some reason, he seemed extremely agitated. Fearing that upsetting him might earn another footprint on his stomach, Alteo kept his mouth shut.

“Follow me.”

“…Why?”

Luwen’s already fierce eyes became even sharper. Intimidated by that gaze, Alteo slid off the bed.

Alteo watched Luwen grab a wooden sword, feeling like livestock being led to slaughter. He shuddered. Even though it was a wooden sword with no killing power, in Luwen’s hands—hands that could infuse it with sword energy—it could transform into an excellent weapon.

‘Fuck. I thought things were peaceful for once.’

Luwen was crazy. Not just ordinarily crazy, but crazy about one person. Like a dog that wags its tail only for its master. Someone who could easily bury a person without a second thought, yet wags his tail sweetly in front of his master. Honestly, it was chilling every time Alteo saw that.

‘Though the master is just as crazy.’

Birds of a feather, you could say. At least the master didn’t seem likely to kill people recklessly.

Luwen, on the other hand, was different. Alteo recalled the killing intent he felt when he was rescued at the valley. Even now, he sometimes wakes up with goosebumps all over his body.

‘That bastard would cut the throat of anyone who touches his master, no matter who they are…’

That’s why he was anxious. Afraid that Luwen might suddenly lop off his head with the wooden sword while mentioning the incident from before. Or, given how agitated he was, he might just beat Alteo as a way to vent.

‘Weren’t the two of them getting along? Why suddenly this…’

Alteo’s gaze fell on Luwen’s crotch. He was indeed excited, but not in the sense of anger.

‘But seriously, why come to me?’

Isn’t there someone else to help him with that?

After grabbing the wooden sword, Luwen turned around. Alteo stood still, uncomfortable about following, but Luwen stopped, turned back, and the veins on the back of his hand gripping the sword bulged.

“Let’s. Go.”

Although unsure of why he was being summoned, Alteo knew whatever it was, it wasn’t worth his life. Extremely tense, he followed at a safe distance.

After leaving the building, Luwen circled around to the back where there was a small clearing. Standing in the center of the clearing, Luwen nodded at Alteo, indicating he should stay where he could be seen.

“Here?”

“Don’t think about moving. If you try to run away and get caught, I won’t let it slide.”

“…Understood.”

Swallowing hard because it didn’t feel like a simple warning, Alteo leaned against the wall.

“Huff.”

Taking a deep breath, Luwen gripped the wooden sword with both hands. Then he began to swing it vigorously. Really… he kept swinging. Without speaking, he just moved his body.

‘What is this? Why did he really bring me out here?’

Alteo let out an incredulous sigh without realizing it. Luwen briefly glanced in his direction before turning his head forward again. And then he swung his sword again.

As his legs started to ache, Alteo carefully assessed the situation and slowly sat down on the ground. Resting his elbows on his raised knees, he propped his chin.

“Do you really need me as a spectator?”

“I can’t leave you alone after you tried to harm Norman.”

Luwen swung his sword again.

Swoosh- Swish- Swish-

The sound of the sword cutting through the air was consistent. Though he was crazy, Alteo couldn’t deny that his swordsmanship was beautiful. Each controlled movement flowed naturally into the next, like water.

However, having no interest in either the sword or Luwen, Alteo, now bored with watching the swordsmanship, drifted into thought.

‘It seems the young master hasn’t told him about our contract.’

Swoosh!

‘That guy’s excitement must surely be because of the young master.’

Swish!

‘The young master clearly seemed to like that guy…’

Swish!

‘So it’s mutual? Why did he run away from a set table?’

If he had just pounced on him, the young master would have been very pleased.

Nobles generally sow their seeds everywhere, being quite promiscuous. Even the current Duke Vinter has an adopted daughter from outside. But no one doubts that she is the former Duke’s biological daughter. The fact that she inherited the dukedom proves it.

Nobles are already easy, and the young master already likes the dog in front of him. In other words, even though he could easily have him if he just pushed him down, he’s here doing this, which means only one thing.

‘He doesn’t seem to know that the young master likes him.’

Alteo tapped his cheek with his finger.

‘Maybe it wouldn’t be bad to help them.’

Thanks to Fei Vinter’s information and education, things were going smoothly. Although uncertain about what might be demanded later, it probably wouldn’t be anything ordinary. A young lord who lacks nothing would have no reason to ask a favor of a mere commoner.

‘Unless it’s something needed for the imperial power struggle.’

While he would happily accept if offered the position of the First Prince’s physician, Alteo had no intention of betraying the Prince. Nor could he report the young lord. Either way, they were of a status far beyond Alteo’s reach.

‘If I help a little with the young lord’s love affair, and bring it up later, I might be able to get out of it decently.’

There was a safeguard right in front of him that would prevent retribution if he refused the demand written in the contract. Moreover, if both parties felt the same way, wouldn’t they connect with just a little push? Alteo smiled inwardly.

“I’m not going to mess with Norman anymore.”

At the sudden statement, Luwen lowered his arm that was swinging the sword.

“How can I believe that?”

“I don’t have a reason to now. It was because of the faculty representative position for the welcome ceremony, and I’ve achieved that.”

Luwen quietly stared at Alteo. Meeting the eyes that were trying to determine the truth, Alteo added:

“Having gotten what I want now, if I attack Norman, I might lose it. Would I be stupid enough to do that? Rather, I’m prostrated before Norman, begging him to keep the secret.”

Alteo straightened his bent knees, leaned completely against the log wall, and raised his head.

“Even if I wanted to kill Norman to shut him up, I couldn’t close your mouth. So the only option is to not upset you, right?”

Swoosh!

The familiar sword cut through the air. The pressure made Alteo’s hair flutter. The blade, which didn’t seem like a wooden sword, felt like it had a real edge as it came close to his neck.

“Don’t forget. If you touch that person, you’re dead.”

“I know.”

The cold eyes that didn’t even treat people as people gave Alteo chills. He wondered how anyone could like such a guy, but it wasn’t his business.

“But why do you like Norman so much?”

At Alteo’s question, Luwen withdrew his wooden sword and turned his back. There was no need to answer. The feeling of treasuring Fei Vinter had been at the core of what constituted Luwen for a very long time.

Fei was in between every breath he took.

‘If I lose that person, it’s as if I cease to exist as well.’

It was hard to find a reason why he liked him. No reason seemed adequate to represent the size of his feelings. Everything fell short. It was as if his entire existence was meant for Fei.

Luwen gazed down at his lower body. Thanks to vigorous movement, his excitement had subsided. He knew faster and more effective ways to calm down, but fearing he would think of that person if he did, he ran away.

‘…He was beautiful.’

The slender nape beneath the gathered hair. The protruding shoulder blades, the elegant curve from the side to the waist. He couldn’t take his eyes off any of it.

Hesitating because it felt like he shouldn’t touch, when their eyes met through the mirror, Luwen instinctively lied. Even he didn’t know why. Normally, he would have just let it go.

‘I’ll ask Alteo to look at it.’

The rash that bloomed red on the skin that was pale from lack of sunlight was not ugly at all, but rather stimulating, as if someone had sucked hard to create it.

And he said he would show that to someone else.

His head buzzed. He knew he had unnecessarily tightened his grip on the wrist, but he couldn’t let go. He didn’t want to let go. He wanted to drag him away and lock him up where no one could see him.

After suffering from a high fever, I realized I had been reborn as a villain in a novel. I was the villain who dies after tormenting my half-sister Irene, the female protagonist, out of jealousy. But there was something even more important than that. ‘Luwen exists in this world.’ The character I loved most while reading the novel. Luwen, the second male lead who steadfastly loves the female lead until sacrificing his life. What if he hadn’t fallen in love with the female lead? This was my chance to act on the daydreams I had in my previous life. ‘I can change Luwen’s ending.’ Yes, I’m just slightly altering the future of the second male lead, who’s still only twelve. ‘Luwen, I’ll change your life’s genre to a happy ending.’ It might be an arrogant thought. But I’ve always been a selfish person who only thinks about myself. So I’ll do as I please. Even if I can’t be a good person, I can pretend to be one, right? Even if I’m not the type to sacrifice myself for others, I can paint a convincing picture. So, Luwen, let’s survive and find happiness. Don’t step into your predetermined tragic fate. I’ll protect you as your brother.
